While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.
You need papers to download scans, yes. However, you don't have to BUY them necessarily. Check the faq for more details... basically, just be active on the website and you'll be fine.
"Looking at it, I believe the moon is too big it makes me confused a bit with the perspective. I believe making it smaller and make it more simpler. well, the moon right now is blurred and does not fit the other materials in the wallpaper and it looks a bit too blurred in my opinion. I am suggesting to try making a new moon and put the real moon you are using now as a texture. try playing with the blending option until it looks good in your opinion.
the ones on the bottom, what are they? the solid ones. I do not think they are supposed to be there, or they are the mist? if it is, blur tool will help you a lot. as for the fireflies, I think they are way too blurred.
because what I am seeing now is a wallpaper in progress and you are hoping for a critic, right? so as another one, I think you may want to use texture(s) to blend the character and the background. it looks fine, but using textures may bring you a very surprising effects. Trying it is nothing bad, right?

Upon seeing this in session zero, these are what I can suggest:
1. As $microwar has said before, the extraction has to be better. I do agree. And because the background it dark and shana is somewhat standing out, the extraction has to be better. the most seen ones are on her socks and her robe.
2. about the background... first thing first, take a look at the most left part of the background. I think you accidentally moved the layer a bit. no worry, only a bit arrangement and it is done :D. about the red things on the background, I am not really sure, but maybe you can make it less sharp by blurring it a bit.
3. And just a suggestion, a texture is one of the most effective way to make a character blend with the background. with only putting a texture which do you think match the wallpaper, put it on the top layer, and after that you only have to play with the blending mode, and voila. I believe it will help you blend the character more, since looking at it now, it seems Shana is too standing out.
I believe this can turn out to be a great wallpaper, if you put some more effort, but of course. Good luck improving your wallpaper ^__^ I will be glad to answer if you have any question-if I am able that is =p.
