After months of work, chanelqueen17 has created a gorgeous scene of Alice and Oz from Pandora Hearts, using scans that didn't even feature both characters together. Even after spending so much time on matching the details of the characters to their new looks, chanelqueen17 didn't stop there and went all out on the background too! I've always wanted to make a wall similar to this, but I would've never imagined something as crazy good as what you've done.
It seems like the only beef I have with this wall is the fact that the light blue circle that dominates the wall isn't anti aliased, so theres jaggys around the edge.

The overall composition is nice. Everything flows pretty well, the color's match up pretty awesome as well.
One issue I have with this wall is that I'd prefer if the wall had a bit more contrast. Everything seems a bit muddy and overly lit. For a black angel, she doesn't really seem all that "black".
Another issue is that some of the brush work could be better in some places. It's obvious that you used a low flowing brush because you can see where theres overlapping circles.

You did a fairly good job at recreating the grass and making it look natural.
I can't say the same about the clouds though.
It's true that you may have painted them yourself, but you didn't do a very good job at matching the style used in the original scan. This is very apparent at the bottom of the clouds where they go from being blotchy to blurred. You can also see where the clone stamp tool was overused a bit too much as well.
I wouldn't say this was a good first wall. This is a good use of photoshop, but I personally do not think it is worthy enough to be called a wallpaper. Sure it fit's all the criteria of being a "wallpaper", but it doesn't have one ounce of originality. You could equate this to essentially cropping the scan and calling it a wall. Sure, cleaning/recging the scan might get you some points, but it still isn't worthy of being a real wallpaper.
Don't let my little rant stop you from making more walls though. Look around for scans. See what you like. Then go out and Create your own background for it." View

This looks like any other piece of graphic design you could find on deviant art. There's nothing really special about it. It's the same cookie cutter formula you find everywhere else except with an anime figure as the focal point.

It's very aesthetically pleasing. The use of textiles and color work very well together.
Some thing's that could be improved on though.
Theres a small secondary line above the bottom border that doesn't look like it was meant to be there. It just looks off because of the lack of symmetry with the top border.
Another thing that could've been done was to vary the textures a bit. For instance, you could've offset the background texture in a different way in everyplace where you used the darker red tone. It just gives more variety to the picture itself, and makes it look more like a quilt than what you have. (think multiple pieces of fabric sewn together)" View
