This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.
While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.
You need papers to download scans, yes. However, you don't have to BUY them necessarily. Check the faq for more details... basically, just be active on the website and you'll be fine.

"This is a very nice wallpaper of L. It stood out in my mind, my girlfriend saved it and I wanted to comment on a wallpaper and this is the first one I thought of, I like the concept of black to white, I'm thinking of doing a wallpaper like that as well sometime. I like your idea of putting his lifespan on it, though the word "UP" in red seems kind of out of place. I personally think it would look better without the deathnote writing on it too, or maybe if you changed the text of it to white. Overall, a very nice wallpaper." View
