This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.
While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.

If the scan can be a lil bit sharper then I think it would be perfect as now the city is a little bit more sharper than the character.

"WoW! This is a really incredible <strong>rendering</strong>! Yes, rendering from the vectors till the texture and shading and also to spice it up there is also a slight hint of those popular cell-type shading you see on most console 3D games.

- The background with the sun and the buildings make it look japanese like while the polka dots and the hiphop dance are from the west. Which is what this anime series is all about.

"Wow! Love the lightings in this wall and the texture done on the wood, wall, windows and the notice board. The scenery out in the window add a nice touch to the wall. My only comments (personally) are the depth between the window and the outside scenery. It looks like it just stick there, maybe it is because of the drop shadow on the windows. But other than that, excellent job on this wall." View

"Great wallpaper! The cross behind adds up to the entire wallpaper composition and the lights effects are nice. It could be my personal preference, but I think the shadow cast on the outline of the character are a bit to thick/dark?
But overall a very nice wallpaper. The dark background/theme plus the character on the center helps icons on desktop pop up. Score one for usability. :P

"Great job on the crack floor. The petels are really good also, except that it *might* be a little blurry on the edge. You've covered that nicely with drawing some fibers? on the edge. The picture itself is not bad either, love the shadows that falls onto the crack where you carefully do to fit with the crack floor. Well done!
But to me the picture looks like normal printed paper because you can see it is thin. Maybe show some thickness in the lower right corner might help. The Mahoro pictures is great!
