first of all, Mac is running ever so smoothly is probably because they built their own machine, and they even made a regulation so people don't install OSX on any other PC except their's. So it's not because it is Mac, but it's simply because Apple PC's have high standard for their PC and because of that OSX can run smoothly. But some programs do run more smoothly on Mac.

I have to admit Mac is one of the most stable OS out there, and because it's UNIX it is less vulnerable than windows when it comes to virus. But the price is just over the top, it's even more expensive than my PC ~__~; .

Personally, I use Linux because it's simply free, and the possibility is endless. There is almost not a single program that is on windows or Mac that can't be replaced on linux, example:(GIMP=Photoshop), generally though. And it's developing on an amazing pace, and oh yea no virus here ^ ^. (openSUSE user)"

"It's nothin big here. Even if I'm still a virgin at my thirties people wouldn't react that much, I'm still 17 btw. In my country it'll be weird if you're not a virgin before your 20's, and probably it is because the people here is very religious and uphold their religion firmly. But, of course there is still some people that's not so religious and become a non virgin in their young age in my country.

Anyway "Life" as it is could be called a "game" as reality itself is everything that you believe to be real, and not every game have a restart, many lives, etc. poker is a game but can you pause, continue, and such? But if you interpret it that way, "Life" is a "game" that tends to normally be repetitive and dull, and every mistake you make will have a consequences, but good deeds will have it's own reward as well. The main objective of "Life" is yours to choose, but as everything that exist there will be an end X_X . And the END part will might actually be the most blissful part or the worst part, depends on where you go is it to the bottom or the heaven above (if you believe in any of it) . Then you'll realize it actually is just another beginning of your new "Life""

"Hahaha XD , it really remind me the first time I accidentally install freeBSD. Well, you should read some wiki or Guide before you install linux, it's not that hard but you can get lost sometimes.

And you should install it under windows if it's your first time (guess it's too late to say that).

Anyway don't give up my friend.
Well anyway, what's important is you need to know the Terminal first, since you'll be using it a lot.
some pointer:
> press "Alt+F2" and type terminal and run it
> after that type "su" enter and then your root password and enter
>then install yumex by typing type "yum install yumex"
Yumex is a package manager if you didn't know yet, it'll greatly aid you when you're just starting using fedora, since it'll give you a clear view of the package/software that are available and it also tell you what is the function of the package/software."

"Well, my fedora is probably unstable because I use the rawhide repo.
Thinking of going back to fedora now.
And my fedora is very bloated, that maybe one of the reason that it is unstable
I want to try out arch but the xorg is outdated I need at least 1.4.9 to make my compositing to work. Don't know why though cause when I use fc9 the compositing work out of the box.
I agree that debian is VERY outdated, still have to admit that it's rock solid even more tougher than fedora in my experience.

And I've been wanting to try gentoo but I heard it's famous for it's instability ? it is the most up to date distro out there.

But what do you think is it really THAT unstable?? Have you tried using gentoo?
