Donator - Discount on Scans?

"I read the 'Donate To Us' page

I donated the other day as a test and then read that page and noticed that I could be given papers etc after $5. It also says:
'Further discounts on scans'

That is so cool! - I thought. So I went to some of the scans that were previously 50 papers, and but they are still 50 papers. I was wondering how this discount on scans works. Maybe on certain selected ones only?"

"I'm asian, and so Japanese music is one of my favs.

Before (1-2 years ago), I was into hardcore mainstream music charts. However, I wanted to be different, so I got into anime and later got into jpop. I don't watch anime anymore, but mostly asian music. I have stopped with mainstream. If someone was to bring up a band, I wouldn't know it, (well except for all the legends like U2, and Guns and roses)

I run music site as well as have staff roles in Jpop forums. I use earphones (that came with my ipod) for my laptop. But the point is, I don't let others judge me by how much bands I know etc, if I wanted to open my mouth, I would own them to how much music I was to listen to daily.

Take for example: PATD. I started listening to it about 3 months before it came here to New Zealand. Then thats where all the girls and guys start going all 'hardcore fans'.

I usually am the type of person that doesn't really speak and show off, my parents doubt I know that I'm listening to lets say, Korean Pop or Japanese Pop. I listen to Chinese/Taiwan pop and its all good. At first, I thought that listening to music to which you don't understand was 'different' however, I noticed that its indeed quite common among teens. I express so much to my friends about asian pop music etc, as when we get in a music discussion, I randomly add my 2 cents about Japanese or Chinese artists. They know I'm asian crazy. So I don't really care. Afterall friends don't mock you right?

"Well I've been here for a while, and this place has really grown on me. And so, I noticed that Bantam would be away. Basically, if you need any coding help or bug fixes, I could be of help for you guys. I have done alot of PHP/MySQL and XHTML/CSS freelancing work on sites and for friends.

So, feel free to ask me, as I would like to contribute all I can, since I don't buy magazines to scan etc.
Maybe if staff interested, you can question me or something. =)

"Well, for asian stuff, I've mostly always used yesasia.com. Partially because of Paypal compatibility. I have just ordered some stuff from play-asia.com, so I'll post stuff on it soon.

I think yesasia is pretty neat because you don't have to pay the shipping (buying 2 cds is enough to qualify) and it delivers pretty fast.

I'm tempted to buy from cdjapan.co.jp, but I've heard it takes longer.

Does anyone recommend some sites to which you can buy stuff online?
I'll most probably just buy music cd's, asian items, and models/figures, and it should be Paypal capable."

You could also get a texture pack somewhere and render it in a 3d program first and then transfer into photoshop or whatever you are using."

i got the one thats circled in red, but mine is CLEAR, which is not painted...

are you meant to paint them yourselfs? or is it faulty?
