Is anime that much better than manga?

"Yes and no,because almost all of the animes out there have a manga version too and that is what made them good.Then again there is the problem where anime doesn't follow the manga exactly as it is,a case:Hellsing.
The TV series follows the manga partially and it's still a good anime then there are animes which don't follow the manga at all and they suck.
As a conclusion:if an anime is great then the manga is probably that great or even greater."

How do you choose your manga?

"Well i don't usually read mangas,but when I do i do it for three reasons:
1.To find out what will happen in the next episodes of the anime,this has happened one with NANA.
2.If i really liked the anime that much i'll be sure to read the manga too.
3.If the manga is different from the anime which i enjoyed i'll be sure to give it a try too."

Do your parents read manga?

"No,me and my friends are the only ones I know that read manga,and thats because of four reasons:
1.In this country of mine the only way to get mangas is from the internet..and my parents won't spend time reading manga over the comp. nor will I let them(there's only one comp in the house so...).
2.My parents are kinda old fashioned..they only know how to play Solitaire and Spider Solitaire ~.~"
3.My parents don't speak english...and it takes time to translate the english versions to romanian,and because of the previews reasons I'm not willing to do this.
4.They think mangas and anime in general are for little kids..."

"I agree with you on the price, but then again you are the one who decides what to do with your money,no one forces you into buying an Ipod!IF people decide to waste their money on Ipods it's their problem and only theirs.To tell the truth i don't have a MP3 player..i just listen to music on my mobile phone,it's not like i need 30GB to store my music...in fine with 7-8 songs,an whenever I go on a trip or something I burn a CD with all my favorite song for my CD player which reads MP3 too.
Whatever you chose:mp3's,cd players,mob phones or ipods it's your decision and if people have enough money to waste on something pretty but no as good as others it' s their problem again."

"I think it's ok the way it is.If it would be lower then the mods would be buried in wall waiting to be approved or rejected,on the other hand raising the fine would make wallers be afraid of rejection and never submit anything.So i'm ok with -100 for rejection."

"I'm obsessed over NANA and Paradise Kiss..mainly because of the artwork,it has a retro feeling in it and i'm a sucker for retro style things.
And the music too...it's so cool...Trapnest and Blast's songs are sooo cool...i just can't get enough of them..i can barely wait for the subbed episodes to come out.

what turns you off in an anime???

"I'm looking for original or at least different series.I don't really have a tipo and i see only those series that meet the criteria.I usually try seres other people suggest and if i don't like it after the 3rd-4th episode,i drop it.Then there's always Youtube and you can always try them there get them home if you liked,right?Some ex:

Sailor Moon:for the old time's sake;
Blood+:They were making such a big fuss over it i just had to try;
Evangelion:Saw lots of AMV's on it...liked the Asuka character and the EVA'a and tried out;
ParaKiss:Mainly because of NANA...they have the same artwork and that's what got me hooked onto them in the first place.
NANA:NICE artwork and music;
etc;etc;etc;etc;

I never watched a serie because of the manga though...i don't like reading manga over the computer and i don't have from where to buy it either."
