where to find this scan?

"Unfortunately I don't remember who posted it. I was kind of hoping for the person who submitted the scan to find this thread. I know the chances are small, but I will remain hopefull. If nothing works, I guess I will have to vector the lower quality ones. I didn't expect for the scan to get deleted, so I forgot to save it when I had the chance. Well I learned my lesson now."

"I really don't know where to post this topic. If it's in the wrong section, feel free to move it. There was a scan in the Naruto section that had the characters Gaara, Sasuke, Naruto, and Itachi I think with umbrellas. It was deleted because the characters are the same as other scans. However, I liked that version because it has a better quality than the other ones. Did anyone save that scan, or know where to find it? I need it for the project I'm working on. Thanks for any help."

"I really don't see a big difference between the two, so I watch both versions to show support. Both groups worked hard, so why not show some love to both groups. Although I seem to like SD's translation better. Not sure why, I just seem to prefer SD's translation."

Is anime that much better than manga?

"I think anime and manga are great in their own ways. I don't like one over the other because there are some scenes that look better in the manga, while others that look better in the anime. To me, fight scenes look best when animated because they just look bland in the manga. Some characters also look better in the anime than their manga counterparts. So it really depends on the series."

Would you rather burn high quality fansub anime to a DVD or buy the official DVD

"Legally speaking you are supposed to buy the official DVDs, although I don't think it really matters because all of the official DVD's I have watched have the original Japanese dialogue. But since this is based on personal preferences, then whichever one works best for you."

"I haven't seen that many anime, and in the ones that I have seen English is used for comedic effects. There's this guy from Bleach and the English teacher from Azumanga Daioh who use English during comedic scenes. I'm guessing that they are intentionally making English sound funny. Engrish (I hope that's the right term) is giving me a good laugh during appropriate situations, but I don't like how the Japanese VA's butcher English words."

"I got into the Naruto manga first, and it's hard of me to get out of something that I love to something new. I love the character development, and the things that the main character has to go through in order to get strong. I also love the twists and changes in some of the characters' personality. Some of the villains in part 1 don't seem as bad as they first appeared to be. There is nothing I like more than to feel pity for the villains. I have a thing for anti-heroes. "

what do you think about bleach?

"It's an okay show for the most part. Even the fillers are entertaining to watch. However I like Naruto better (minus the fillers) more than Bleach. Can't really explain why, but I'm guessing it's because each arc in Bleach is very long, and I don't like how Ichigo got so powerful so quickly. It also seems to be a little repetitive. The Soul Society arc is interesting, but it got so long that I got bored near the ending. Other than those issues, it's a quite good series. The thing that I like the most about Bleach is the humor. "

Which do you like, watching real movies or watching anime?

"I find that anime usually have better plotlines than real movies so I gave up on real movies a long time ago. Now I am being seen as a kid for watching animated shows, especially from those who don't really understand anime. Other than the plot, I also prefer anime for the artwork and cultural references. Sometimes I feel like I'm learning more from watching anime. Recently I have been watching Naruto, and it got me into looking up on old Japanese mythology and tales, which I find very interesting. Besides, good real movies are rare these days. I have no choice but to go with anime, which is something that I prefer."

"For your vector, did you use a lot of anchor points? I had them all over my vector when I started on my first vector. To the people that gave me suggestions, thank you. "I wish my life were like the characters from Naruto since that's the series I'm watching currently. I want to learn an elemental move, and be able to perform various jutsu. Genjutsu looks so cool! Actually, I just want to escape from reality and live in any anime world. Any anime world is more interesting than my life now. Ahh, I sound so depressive. Okay my life isn't uninteresting, it's just that the Naruto (or any other anime) world is just too cool that I wish I could escape from this reality."

"I don't know if Pokemon counts. The show seems to go on forever with no sign of stopping. If the Inserts are supposed to be fillers, then yes I agree, it's ruining the Naruto series. But some people don't count them, and they consider the series to be 135 episodes because that's when the canon material ends. Many people believe that part 2 of the manga will air sometime in February. I hope that's true because the fillers are getting on everyone's nerve at the moment. "

"This is my first attempt at vectoring using PSP. This is what I have done so far, and I'd like to hear comments on it. If there are any mistakes, I could easily fix them now than if I were to have the complete vector. I'm still trying to understand the vector tutorial for PS, so I probably won't be finishing this in Photoshop until my next vector. The original scan is here in case anyone needs to see it.

hm well for me, if the original scan is in small size I will make it 2 or 3 times bigger, but if the original scan is big, I will vector it without changing the size. You can always resize it in smaller version withouht losing the quality :d

"I'm not sure if what I'm seeing are artifacts, or if your scan is in low quality. If it's the latter, you need to clean up your scan. I agree with the others, a nice theather background would work best. If you are having a hard time creating the curtains and such, you can find a scan of curtains and vector them."

1. When I vector an image, should I vector it in it's original size, or vector it after I have resized it to the size I want?

How do you prefer to watch anime?

"If there's a good dub, then I prefer the dub. I'm not saying that the dub is better than the sub when I say I prefer the dub. The sub is probably always better since the Japanese seiyuu are professionally trained, although the dubbed Cowboy Bebop sounds better than the original. It's just that when I read the subtitles sometimes, I miss the action or other details. It's just easier for me to watch anime in a language that I can understand."

What will you do to your anime collection if you have grown and become parents??

"I might grow out of anime eventually, but it doesn't look like it's going to be anytime soon. If I become a parent someday, I might want to watch some of my anime shows from time to time. If I grew out of anime by then, I will keep my collection for my child so that he/she will appreciate the beauty of anime."

"Looks like you need to clean up or vector the scan of Belldandy. It is very grainy as with the background. I think I know the reason why it's so grainy. Please do not save anything in gif unless it's animated. You are limited to 256 colors, which will cause that grainy effect. Everything else looks fine to me."

"I can see white spots on the edges of the black wing. I think you should fix that first. I can also see the original black or grey wing under the vectored black wing, so cover the original up. But if that's part of the vector and not the original, I don't understand why it's grey."
