How important is money to you?

"I live in a developed rich country by early 21st century standards.
Developed countries in the early 21st century have a fair level of surplus.
For people to obtain the larger portion of this surplus, a system which used money existed, characterised by fiat currency.
People would be able to inherit assets and wealth, at the whim of someone who had these said assets.
In this day and age people's lives were governed by the need for money, as this was the focal point whereby people would purchase their needs throughout their lives.
People would receive money in exchange for their position, ownership of assets and trading. This money could then be used to purchase products produced by the many corporations and individuals throughout the globe.

Therefore, money was important to me and the many people like me. Because, all of us who live in these developed countries did not know the reason for their existence. But, the surplus of production was enticing so many people would accumulate surplus. Some people did not care about the surplus at all, but the potential to accumulate surplus; this was done through utilising existing assets to entitle themselves to more assets.

And so, to fulfil their personal desires us people would place money as the most important priority in their lives. A lack of money would give people ideas of family breakdowns, depression, anxiety, poor social outlook and everything people valued be in a state of disaster. However, there were the rare minority who simply carried on through their lives being ignorant about the nature of money, or purposefully unaware of how this world was governed by money. Yet, despite their existence, this age was characterised by expansive populations hungry for money.

Money soon lost it's initial purpose before the grand scheme of the world. Huge schools and systems which focused solely on money were on the rise. A social evolution sparked and value would be placed on everything, the economy grew in importance to the world, in this post-agricultural era where goods were abundant.

In the end, money was more important than happiness - it defined humanity. Without money humanity would operate dramatically different. Money was everything to myself and humanity. All activities people did were based on money... thus, it formed the basis of life. By the way, I speak for everyone in the early 21st century."

How "polished" a game looks factors in, and old games which don't have the cutting-edge technology can still look great if not better due to production values. This is a tricky one to explain but graphics is like... ... important but... you can see when good graphics arent really good at all"

"Okay by posting that question you're already putting yourself in the position of a person who recognises that having glasses and braces make you a 'nerd'. As for the question why, I'll interpret it as why you think so or why people other than yourself think so. I'm guessing that based on what you said you think that glasses and braces = nerd because you follow the path of mainstream social standards but you doubt your own assumption and thus why you pose that question. In any case, by considering it as 'rude' it means you've embraced the negative connotations that are attached to the word 'nerd'. I think that by thinking it's rude you're undermining your initial question. (and theres irony that people stereotype stereotypes)

It's difficult to ascertain any solid reasons without deriving it from personal experiences. I'd say other people have that stereotype because naturally it is what it is. Or possibly there's a higher ratio of people who are known as nerds who have characteristics that correlate with the braces and glasses. Surely, it is only human to judge based on appearance and i'd assure you that every living human would do so, to differing extents of course. Even for those whose purpose is to approach with indifference; as long as they're human they must apply some sort of judgement which depending on the person will have greater or lesser controls. When it comes down to it we're clearly homogenous in that sense and yet another irony of people calling each other what they are themselves. If we look at it in general, yes, 'sad' may be a way to describe it but in that case the existence of the term itself is questionable as it is common to all."

"Okay, as the title suggests I have a few questions about Composite and Component AV cables. Now, in reference to NTSC and PAL, I know composite has such limitations and I'd like to know component cable features in relation to this, like does it have the same limitations? for example, i use a composite cable to connect my PS2 to monitor but i have to output to PAL since monitor doesnt seem to accept ntsc, so i cant play ntsc games or shows blank screen unless i output to PAL which places significant video lag and such. But i'm wondering if i use component cables whether i can play ntsc games (or at least force output to PAL and not receive video lag)"

Because the world as it is doesn't seem to be all that great, so why not have a change? Why not have people in developed and developing countries suffer? "The matter is trivial for me, but I like consistency. If there are voices, then there are sections where there are no voices I hate that. If voices are in a game I want them to voice all encounters because you can't imagine it once you already know it. If there are no voices that's fine though because it isn't necessary. Hoho, large statement there but what is the truth in it. You're claiming that whoever doesn't socialise with "everyone else" is weird and no one wants to be "weird". But firstly, i'd like to dismiss your statement because there are people who decide not to hang out with the majority and are not weird. I take offense sir!

Actually, not that I play MMOs (I stopped 3 years ago) but people do play MMOs for the 'social' aspect of the games. So they're really no different and want to follow a group.

As for others, like myself, people may call me 'anti-social' which is true but I /want/ to live my lifestyle as it is, although I it is not my aim to be anti-social that is one of the ramifications that come out of making autonomous decisions. The amount of time i spend with people is proportional to my understanding of their emptiness and I know that it won't ever satisfy my needs at least I have not found someone yet, which is why I live a quiet life. Surely, there would be the ideal life but as of now there is nothing in reality which offers people who are worth a repetition of encounters. There is nothing unusual in the way I live though, because people who also follow my lifestyle do so as a result a logical decision. "
