And why would Dorothy be the focus of your Big-O text and quote when it relates to the dude and the robot? Sorry, but just having a character and text (black and white at that) screams INCOMPLETE, and you will most likely be rejected if you submit this."

"If you're happy with the wall, leave it. You'll improve each time - you can't expect wondetastic results right off the get go. I'll just say that you main problem is the horizon.. the water and sky meeting point coupled with the horizontal text just give it that unpleasant division. You've added a cliff.. not bad. Perhaps add an island out in the water, with reflections of the clouds around it? I think that would be within your skill range and would help with the horizon transition. Making a perfect wallpaper is impossible.. you'll always come back later and see things you could have done or shouldn't have done. What's important is your satisfaction - if you're happy, awesome.. if not, weigh your choices and overall goals and work towards them! "

Taking the bus to school

"I take a bus to class occasionally - but its the Wolfline, university bus system.. different from a school bus lol. Most of the time I walk. It's a MAX 10 minute walk to classes from my dorm, provided weather conditions are decent. Hopefully I'll have a car on campus next semester and I won't have to worry about either!"

"Compositionally speaking, this is pretty good. I agree about the extraction - it looks as if you just magic wand, so try and do it properly with the pen tool or lasso. Also, maybe create some glowing pink arrows such as the ones the girl is about to shoot? Have them coming out of the borders w/ appropriate perspective - this will add a little personal flair to it. Good start. "

"I know you've gotten suggestions about the text, but I'm going to differ a bit. As it is, the text divers the eyes away from the character and divides the wall down the middle - an unpleasant effect. Perhaps downsize the size of the lyrics and begin them to the right of the p in "Simple" and end it where "Clean" ends. That would help things a bit. Also, something behind the text wouldn't hurt either. Perhaps vectored elements from the game, or birds, maybe a simple cloud? Something needs to be back there, currently the text is far too prominent. Another suggestion is the water - make it more detailed. Perhaps add reflections to the water or ripples, fish maybe? Just give it a little flair ... maybe some birds in the sky. Ok, I'm done. x) you're off to good start. "

"Hmm. the obvious problem I see is your character extraction - pretty horrid. Did you use just use the magic wand? Take your time, use the pen tool, lasso, whatever you want, but do it properly. You're on the right track with the background, but it seems too far away from the characters and its overly blurred. Keeping focus on the foreground characters doesn't mean you have to lose background detail. Text is pretty plain, spice that up a bit. Good start. *thumbs up*"

"Second is definetely better - the colors match well with the outfits of the characters and, well, completes the theme. x) You're just starting so I won't be so harsh now.. but try to branch out from simply finding images and filtering them to make a background. Great first start, you have a nice sense of composition."

"The first one is the best. Although I normally say "EW LENS FLARE" it works well here. The random leaves in wall 2 just do not fit and are quite unrealistic, heh. As for the third version, I dislike the colors - it makes me feel like its about to rain or something and that's not a pleasant feeling for a wallpaper. xP "

"I used to suck at skiing. My first time going down Wintergreen in WV I got going too fast, panicked, wiped out, and took out a family in the process. T.T No one was hurt, crying, or anything like that, but I'm sure it scarred them emotionally to see this all black (well, except for my skin) figure hurling towards them at insane speeds. XD It's funny when I think about it, but quite embarassing at the time. I must have apologized 20 times before we parted lol.

This is the first of many.
I'll post more as I remember them. x)"
