I have lucid dreams all the time actually. Some of them are normal and some are really extraordinary. Sometimes I dream the future, it's very strange, I see little fragments, short periods of time in the future, though I forget most of it when I wake up and then sometime later, next day, sometimes even a few months past, those exact fragments repeat themselves in real life and I'm like whoa deja vu any of you had such experience before?

I've only been able to lucid dream once, and it was sort of controlling when I woke up like other people have mentioned, rather than actually changing things that happened. I'm going to try that writing down dreams idea and see if it actually works ^_^. It would also be interesting to know what the recurring theme is as well ^_^. When I woke up I didn't feel very tired from it though. Maybe it's because I only had knowledge of my dream for such a short time. It could be that since you have knowledge of your dream, that you are somewhat awake and therefore your brain is using energy like it would normally, which means you still needed more sleep from being awake in a way ^_^. I was wondering, when you control your dreams, do you have to actually say what you want to happen or is it able to be controlled just through thinking it? ^_^ Such as do you have to say "I want to fly" in order to fly or do you just think about flying and it happens? ^_^

I actually had numerous lucid dreams, most of them when i was quite younger. It was usually a case of having a nightmare and realising it wasn't real so what i would do to escape is close my eyes in the dream and when i opened them, voila i was awake. Rarely though i could control it and do whatever i wanted but as it is documented i had quite the trouble staying asleep once i realised it was dream. According to some sources a part of the brain is activated when you realise it (self-conscious) which is deactivated when asleep.

I must be weird... The majority of my dreams are lucid dreams. I can pretty much control what happens to me in my dreams like 75% of the time. I think I watched way too many cartoons/read too many comics as a kid. In a lot of my dreams, I have the powers of different superheros. The two most frequent occurrences are spiderman and superman. I have a bunch of dreams where I'm flying around as superman or swinging around with my webs as spiderman. Also, there's always some bad guy I have to fight. In some of my dreams, I begin losing the battle against the dude, but dream me, realizing that the whole thing is a dream, just decides to *cheat* or something and I get like 10000x more powerful. I even have these sorts of dreams without them being lucid. For example, I'll be swinging around as spiderman and all of a sudden I'll lose my powers and start falling. The same thing happens when I'm superman. These kinda dreams seem to suggest that maybe I'm afraid of failing in life or something. haha Anyway, back to lucid dreams: I can even wake up from my dream if something bad is about to happen to me. I can manually eject myself from the dream. The problem with doing this though, is that I end up waking at some bizarre hour of the night. In some of my dreams, I consciously tough the dream out in order to not wake up at a weird hour. Yeah, my dreams can get pretty ridiculous.

i nvr hav 1 before... mayb its because i always dont remember my dreams? hahaha... erm... for those who have lucid dream and can control it, can you try 2 change the dream by thinking "what will happen tomorrow?"? cause maybe you'll get to know what will happen tomorrow... who noe? hee...

small]2.This is my second question for those who experience lucid dreams..Do you guys feel tired afer waking up from lucid dream.Sometimes i found myself very tired once i woke up from lucid dreaming cause i did many things in my dreams...How bout you guys..do you get tired?

I envy you, I'd give almost anything to lucid dream... Because it's like being god. You can do anything, make anything you want happen. Want to go flying above New York tonight? Sure thing. Wished someone would love you, and wish you wouldn't have to be suspicious of their motives. Just dream it. =( I really envy you. I've heard it's an acquired skill but I've tried to learn and have yet to yield and results. Though I'm not sure if it would be healthy for me if I were able to lucid dream, I'd probably want to sleep and never wake up again.
