But it could be argued that the people that claim to be affected by the 'monkey effect' are in fact just using that as an excuse to rationalize their actions. Humans are endowed with a conscience, and you don't have to explain in detail to someone that killing is wrong.

So when someone says that they killed (or maimed) someone simply because they saw it on a game means that they are using the game to excuse their actions or shift the blame to an external object. Now I am definitely not advocating that younger gamers should be allowed to play this (or any heinously violent) game because younger minds have not yet fully developed. I am, however, saying that those who do play it should (a) know what they are buying and (b) have the decency and responsibility to separate fictitious actions from real actions.

As if the clear and concise ESRB rating wasn't enough, you would think that a title like "Grand Theft Auto" would give you SOME clue as to the content of the game you are about to purchase. If you can't handle the graphic material made available for your purchase, DO NOT PURCHASE IT. If you don't have the mental stability to separate reality from fiction DO NOT PURCHASE THE GAME. And please, please don't blame a game, book, T.V. show, other person, for your actions take some responsibility.

That really says it all, life is a game. But here’s how I feel: Often we find ourselves as pawns in a grander scheme of others, but we are all important pieces on the board, for who of us has ever won a game of chess without a pawn? Some of us are unorthodox and almost unpredictable (knights) some of us are simple and are unable to move if someone or something stands in our way (rooks) some of us are able to do alot in life, move all over the board and get things done (queen) and yet others can hardly get anywhere at all and are often left in the dust (kings) and yet others see life from a cautious viewpoint, often waiting for an opportunity to present itself before making a move (bishops) and others are the stooges of life, the dolt that gets sacrificed to make way for another persons victory. And lastly, there are a select few that can see the whole board and control everyone from the shadows manipulating us all in order to advance some unseen objective. But what do we know, we're just the pieces. . .

Do you believe that your parents love you unconditionally?

"Parental love is ABSOLUTLY conditional. If it was unconditional then they wouldn't care who you dated, or what job you chose, or what things you do. As long as they thought that you were doing what you thought was right, and what you were doing made you happy.

But alas this is not the case. Parents raise you on the condition that you (a) do what they say without question or hesitation (that never happens) (b) support them in their elderly years at limitless and often fiscally crippling cost to you. And (c) never treat them as they treat you.

And while you may think you owe a debt to them, in fact you do not. Even wild dogs raise their young with no expectation of support later. If you do support your parents it should be because it is YOUR choice because you love them, not because they expect it of you. Love is something that you can never take, it always has to be given; if your parents never gave you the love or respect that they would want for themselves, then you are not obligated to forever do their bidding.

"I think that the series was meant to make you think: Does the end, justify the means? And then once it ended you could confidently tell yourself 'no it does not.' I liked the way that the series developed the characters, giving concise reasons for their actions throughout the show.

It also had a very logical progression of thought, and depicted how you can sift through information with a few simple but irrefutable pieces of evidence. It also demonstrated that ultimate power is not necessarily the key to happiness, but would conversely be a source of misery and paranoia.

"I think that whoever invented fillers should be taken out behind the chemical shads, and shot. The writers who first conceived various series were competent and able to do their jobs. But the people that make the fillers, clearly, are not. 99.9% of all fillers will make you want to shoot yourself for even watching them. The plot is always predictable, the dialogue is always cheesy, and the character development is almost non-existent. Fillers are just a waste of peoples time, and a poor choice as fillers usually tend to whittle away the fan base of the series. Fillers simply suck."

"It's too long. At first it seemed like a really good series, it seemed as though they were just about to get all the crystal shards that were lying around, and they were almost going to beat Nuraku. (or however you spell his name)

But then they never got anywhere, there were always new pieces of the crystal to be found, they never quite beat Nuraku, and they just continued the same basic formula for the series. It just went on, and on, and on with no end in sight. And no closer to the goal that they had set out to do in the first place. So in the end it felt like you wasted so much time watching it, and then the adventure never ended which is highly disappointing.

Small things that immensely piss you off?

"Often it comes down to a matter of 'the straw that broke the camels back.' We have so much stress in our daily live, and it is so constant, that we hardly even notice the big things anymore. But the high amounts of stress make us prone overreact, or make us be high-strung.

Small things get on our nerves a.k.a that guy the keeps clicking his pen non-stop. Or that girl that won't shut up even if you ask her politely to be quiet. Or the jerk in front of you at the movies who eats popcorn with his mouth open and makes irritating little crunchy sounds.

These little things compound themselves into one big thing and then we snap. Or sometimes we've had a stressful day, we just want to go home and do something to get our mind off things. But for whatever reason we stop by a coffee shop on our way back, we make our order and as we're about to pay the cashier gets a cell phone call and makes us wait 10 minutes for her to get done. . . . .that’s when we snap. So the little things end up being really, really, big things. And vice versa, the small courtesies we receive also mean alot to us.

Slander is the direct and malicious attempt to mar someone’s reputation, and although that may not be your internet when you spread a secret, it is almost inevitably the outcome.

So in the end, if you want a secret to be kept, it's best just not to tell anyone.

When you help someone verbally over the phone it means alot to you both, but it means 10x more when you are able to give them a hug, or gently brush their hair. "Everyone has thoughts of suicide from time to time. This is a mechanism in our brain that allows us to weigh in our life, is it all REALLY worth it? And 99% of the time it is. Life is beautiful, something to be cherished and desired, this is why above all other threats, threatening someone’s life is the most terrifying.

However repeated frequent thoughts of suicide my be indicative of a chemical imbalance in your brain, commonly diagnosed as depression. So usually thinking about suicide can be an eye opener in that you realize that while you're going through a troublesome time in your life, that doesn't mean that life isn't worth it.

Who, afterall, would kill themselves while they are talking with their girlfriend/boyfriend. Or who would kill themselves while they are watching a kitten play with a ball of string. My point being that life is worth it, and sometimes suicide can give us a chance to seriously evaluate that point.

Looks or personality?

"It is impossible to choose between either looks, or personality. Personality is no good if you're dating someone disgustingly ugly or deformed in some way. Likewise looks are no good if you are dating someone who is arrogant or selfish, in essence a beautiful pig.

As with most things in life, it is better when you have a moderation between the two. Someone who is pretty, (but not a supermodel) and someone who is engaging and intellectually stimulating. (but not overwhelmingly so)

It's hard to find the perfect person in life, but when you do, cherish that person and never let them go.

On the other hand it could indicate that you have a low self esteem, or worry too much about other people and what they think about you.
