After months of work, chanelqueen17 has created a gorgeous scene of Alice and Oz from Pandora Hearts, using scans that didn't even feature both characters together. Even after spending so much time on matching the details of the characters to their new looks, chanelqueen17 didn't stop there and went all out on the background too! "THanks for the comments.rlee: People would only laugh at those that didn't put an effort into. There are many people that take cosplaying too seriously though. Just do it for fun and do it right. The only type of cosplayers that I would laugh at are those people being stupid and just getting junk together or making a sign and calling it cosplay.

Seriously, though. What's to be embarrassed about your hobby? 7 years or so ago I felt uncomfortable discussing anime with people though that went away fairly quickly I found people that had the interest at school or when I started working and talked with them. My friends those that I hung out with at High School had no interest in video games and even less about anime. You get them poking fun but, we all poked fun at each others habits or preferences we didn't take offense to it and in the end we respected each others views.
Now a days there isn't anyone around me that doesn't know I'm an Anime fan. I'm open about it why should I hide it? At my desk at work I have some Anime posters. I have desktop wallpaper that’s anime related. At lunch I watch anime. If I'm asked about my hobbies anime is one of the first ones that comes out. Its possibly because I show no embarrassment about that I don't get those looks of "O.o cartoons!?!?" or "Or Porn!?!?!". Maybe its just the times or maybe its just that I work in the game industry. Though my co-works do poke fun on saying I'm watching anime porn ect. But that’s just joking around and I take it as that and nothing more.
If a friend or family member is a complete jerk about it they are not much of a friend nor a very understanding family member. I don't have any siblings so I wouldn't know about this. My cousins were cool about it. Over time I introduced many friends and family to shows that they never thought would be available as a "cartoon" and they have become anime fans.
Allot of the problems come with the misconceptions of Anime in relation to other forms of Animation. If people you know are not willing to learn what the difference is, then they do not have a right to comment nor should you take their opinion seriously. They don't have to like anime just respect the fact that you do.
As for the racism it’s everywhere in many different forms. It may be just dumb jokes between people or full blown violence. I've had times when I was washing my car years ago when a neighbor joking goes, "Why are you listing to that white boy music?". I had some modern rock going. When I just reply back without thinking much about it, "And, why are you listening to that nigger music?". We're both Hispanic in origin and we don't take offence to it.
If there was a Black or a White guy hanging around now they may have taken offence to it. Though I'm sure we would have been more careful of our words then. Unless we knew the people and they were cool with the joking around. This is another thing I wanted to say. Some people find some jokes like that funny. I'm not offended at Hispanic / Mexican / beaner / Asian / Chinese jokes. I know what they are and I know them not to be true. So why would I care what a group of ignorant people would say.

"The last week has been the worst I've felt in years. Well actually I can't think of time where the temp was over 105 degrees with 60-70% humidity. I had to wait 25 minutes for a late bus with very little shade that day.
Though I can see the point of view of those that don't like the cold winter. The winters I'm used to are cold but not freezing. Those up in those very cold climates could walk around in shorts in Cali's winter.
It's all about location. I have to find that nice area where it doesn't get too hot, too humid, and too cold. "

"I feel that I am doing well with my Japanese. I'm currently working on writing and reading katakana. I can read and write hiragana now. It's a slow process since I only study during lunch and breaks at work. I want to learn Chinese because its part of my heratige. My grandfather was from Canton, China. Though I never met him I feel that I should speak the language that makes up a good part of my family's blood.

"It's fake, they have said it themselves that its fake. Its entertainment. They are actors doing a show. There are many people that love it. I ended up growing out of it. I don't know exactly when I grew out of it. For what I remember growing up it was some of the best entertainment I watched. Now a days I perfer Mixed Martial Arts.
