"I kind of have a problem with this because it looks like two completely independant pictures en they don't quite like... merge with each other.
I was thinking it'd be cool if you could twist it into a confrontation between the characters but looking at where they're looking I don't how could you make it... Yoshino is kinda looking at the screen... you could have she as the main figure of the wall, and make Kariya a little to the back, like chasing her, or fighting with her firey creature.. whose name I forgot. It shouldn't be that hard to make, you could vector a screenshot and add lots of fire storm against whatever-power-Kariya-has... I dunno.
Hope that idea helps... O_o

Oh, and about the text, I'm enemy of all text so I can't help you there. You could find some firey text tutorials out there instead of just finding a cool font... "

"Um, there's still some extraction problems... specially on Archer's hair and a bit on his arm, which looks a bit jagged (also, what's on his hand? o.o)
Also, the curtains, and a bit on Rin's hair on the corners.
I believe the birds could be dark instead of white. When you see birds against the sunset they don't shine on white, but hey, it's art, whatever looks cool counts XD"

Vectoring a stock

"That tutorial pretty sums everything... I have some other ideas for coloring though... but it's mostly for pictures that don't have solid colors (which might not be the style you want) and you need a good control of the mouse.
After selecting a part you want to color with the pen tool (feather 0), I use the brush tool to color and add the shades, separating on the different layers I feel necessary.
If you want to vector a big image with many details, I also recomend you to put some order creating folders. For example, for my current vector, I have a folder named "dog", inside theres "outline" and "color", inside of "color" there's "tongue","teeth", etc...

"Oh, it's looking good... you can fix Ed's eyes by placing another layer between him and the bricks I guess, and then coloring with white the parts you feel necessary.
Also, you might want to try fixing the Al scan, specially on the hair. Probably vectoring the outline and filling the path with black on a layer behind it?
If you want to keep them leaning on the wall, I guess you could apply some shadowing to make it look like they're not "pasted there"... I'd personally prefer a version with the characters like this, so keep at it =D"

Artistic Career?

I was scared of hating my job, and therefore, arts... I don't want to end hating that.
I was scared because there's not really many ways for an artist to survive... at least here. I need my money, my internet, my games...and my cookies.
Haha, such a coward. So, in the end, I decided to go for the business/economy branch, which is something I currently look with neutral eyes, so I can't love or hate...
So, how many of you are pursuing an artistic career? I'd love to hear it. ^^

"Oh, I always have a "I have free time" plan. If it's not an anime I've recently downloaded, it's a game, or a book, drawing or photoshop. I enjoy long days alone... sometimes I take a long bath and play "the sea monster"... or, make some sugary experiment in the kitchen... heheheh..."

"Oh, dreams. I remember my dreams like 80% of the time, so I have many. But my favourite has to be when cute and small and pink toy dogs arrived in UFOs at my school and tried to destroy it with bazzokas that looked like water guns. It was awesome.

In most of my dreams I visit the same places, I believe it's weird. For example, I have my house, which is different from my real house, it's more like a mansion. I've been to the second floor and the basement, and there's cool stuff there.
And everything seems to be located on a same world full of islands. Sometimes I visit them to run specific errands which I don't exactly remember right now... ^^U"

"Um, I don't really like the next, specifically the colors. Then again, I hate text on walls even if they're used correctly. You can always find cool text tutorials out there in case you like text ^^
I like the geometric figures but some (most) of them look like they were resized from small to big and look jagged.
Also, the blue background feels a bit plain, and it would be even more plain when you remove the jagged lines, so could think of making maybe different figures or other elements.

I remade the tree and moved some things. Also I made it look like the moon is hanging from somewhere.
And eliminated the glow. Ana's face was grey because at the begining I decided to have a dark theme and darkened the whole vector (since Ana's so pale, she ended looking grey), but at the end I thought light tones could be nicer and different from normal halloween walls...
oh, and I put candy-looking test (which probably should be eliminated)
because we know Halloween is about the candy... now the bats and the moon are made of strawberry candy as well.

I thought of eliminating the yellow candy, I made version like that but for some reason, imageshack doesn't let me upload... it just refreshes the page without doing anything

The reason why I insist on the tree to the left it's because my icons are there...
maybe I shouldn't think of my own desktop so much when making walls >_>
But I'd like to know a way to make the tree look like it doesn't end withing the margins of the canvas... it looks so weird on the upper and lower edges "

"I halted the Haruhi RPG vector I was doing to make a Halloween wallpaper before Halloween ends, and this is what I came up with, I wondered if it's good enough for this place (probably it isn't)

Please tell me how to improve it (but not too much time-consuming stuff because I have tests and need to study and I won't have time to finish it before Halloweed XD)

I vectored and edited this screenshot from the opening, some stuff is pen-tool'd by me and others are brushes.

"Well, the background is empty because there's no background yet, of course. I'm currently interested in suggestions for the vector and especially Mikuru, since I'd like to change her pose but I just can't figure it out. For example, are those her knees below her arms? O_o

And so I did.
I've been vectoring -this scan- (please don't kill me if linking like this is against the rules) and I came to an existential doubt.
It's Mikuru (dressed as witch)
I don't like her pose that much. I thought of giving her a broom or something because she just doesn't make sense there. This is where I'd like some opinions. Am I the only one who thinks she just looks too weird?
Here's my progress. I already colored her but there's still time... ^^U
Final image will be 3200x2400
Everything's being done in Photoshop and the coloring is pen tool with gradients and some brushes for details.
And after the vector is complete I guess I'll think of something for the background... I'm working very slowly on this anyways. >_<
And of course any other kind of suggestion is welcome "
