The Funniest Anime

"There are a few, I'll just mencione 3 of witch to me where outstanding..

First off I'll start with Golden Boy, its only 6 episodes, but it has got to be one of the funniest anime ever done :)
Then we have Slayers of course, 3 seasons + 5 movies +2 (3episode each) OVA's of nothing but alot of laughter
And in the end I'll have to say Excel Saga because its pure chaos :P"

"I didn't mencione this earlier out of lapse, as previously said, the manga is far superior to the anime, don't get me rong, they are both very good, but you don't see alot of funny things on the anime like you see in the manga, for examples, Statella often wants to flirt ALOT with chrno, witch leaves Rossette REALY angry :P
Also, don't know if you all noticed this..., but Statella's chest is ALOT bigger in the anime then it is the manga, probably a bit of fanservice for all you boys there :)"

Slayers

"Slayers is right there on my top 5 favorite anime titles, I've seen all the slayers series (Slayers, the / Slayers, Next / Slayers Try), plus the OVA's (Slayers Exellent, Slayers, The Book of Spells) and plus the 5 movies (gorgeous, perfect, great, premium and return) so, definitly! I can say.. it is a MUST-SEE!in anime :P

Its rather dificult of what to choose as the best, but I'll have to say that for movies, Gorgeous is the best for me, it realy pictures the essence of the series, in the OVA's, they're both awsome, I can't choose, and as for the series, I don't think many will agree with me when I say this, but I liked Try better then the rest.

Slayers, the and Next were outstanding, specialy Next because it had the best storyline and character development, plus it had some of the funniest episodes of the entire slayers title :P

But the reason I pick Try is because of Valgarvv, I realy liked the character and what he goes through in the series realy made me like it more, plus we finaly get to see where Gouri's sword of light comes from and all sorts of other things (not giving away any spoilers)

Anyway, if you haven't watched it yet, DO SO, NOW!It is a great anime :)"

"No, no, NO!

I always, ALWAYS! hated pokemon..., I see it as the black sheep of anime.., and to think even people consider it to be anime is beyond me :P
Also, its success brought with it all kinds of similar series, like the digimon, etc etc.

I used to play Magic the Gathering right when 4th edition was released, it was ALONG time ago.., even sooner then pokemon, so naturaly I wasn't caught up when it first aired on my country.

Plus, we where already having a huge Dragon Ball / Dragon Ball Z breakout, everyone, I realy do say everyone, even teachers wanted to go home early so they wouldn't miss today's episode.

I liked DB, I liked it alot, but I've always seen anime from very little, I remember seeing Evangelion even before they started showing DB, also old animes like Sailor Moon and such, and even Slayers witch was released in 1995.

I know this might hurt a few people, but pokemon.., In my eyes it should have never been made.., there has always been alot better things, its just a shame that some networks choose to play it because of the marketing behind it.."

"I don't think it came before Yu-Gi, altough I have seen the first season of beyblade for sometime ago now...

Ya, good thing about season 3 is that alot of the previously seen characters of season 1 mostely all come back and are now very well developed, I'll take the example of Lee for instants, you'll see many aspects of his character and his struggles with several problems through these series.

Thank heavens they forgot all about season's 2 characters, they realy wheren't whort it, season 2 it seems only served to show us that they had a good time and progressed as beeing a team, nothing more.

I'll have to agree on the marketing issue.., its realy bad its ment for such, that is why I only place season 3 as a real anime and not the other two.

I enjoyed seeing this last season, and trying to discuss this with a anime prespective I can say its rather enjoyable and fun to watch, specialy because there are a couple of nice twists in it witch I had no idea.
And as mencioned before, the animation did get ALOT better.

Though, between us here, I realy love the character Kai, I think this is mostely just whort watching because of how that character is made :)"

Your Saddest Anime Moment [Spoilers]

"There are many, but saying this is the sadest moment doesn't mean I wasn't amazed at the entire storyline, a sad ending sometimes is necessary to demonstrate true feelings, and we should never the less, enjoy that.
But anyway.., for me, from the series I have seen to the end, at the moment I'll realy have to go with the death of 3 characters in the same anime episode.

On Kiddy Grade, episode 24 (last) we get to see Chevalier d'Autriche, Alv and Dvergv die; first I was compleatly left with my mouth open when Chevalier on episode 20 revealed his past and that Eclair was his adoptive mother, and that through life he had went through so much to always try to protect her, it realy made me cry when he in the last episode died by her side calling her mother and asking her to smile to him.

The other was when Dvergv flew to the remains of the Deucalion ship to die along side her daugther Alv.
Alv after having tryed to destroy everyone while in posetion of the Deucalion ship, even her mother, and as she said it herself "any prove that I was ever human", in the end when she noticed dvergv was there a little light from the ignition key flashed and she started crying and calling for her mother.
Dvergv cries and says that she is there for her and they both die in the sun.

All and all, episode 24 of Kiddy grade was amazing, those 3 endings realy have to be so far to me the sadest moments I have seen in a anime, still they where all so perfectly orquesterd that until today I am left with my mouth open over them."

"I've seen all 3 seasons of this because it airs on a cable network where I live (1 episode per day), though.., I don't think we can call the first 2 seasons "anime".
I realy don't like categorize such names as "pokemon", "digimon", etc etc into the same placed I would put things like Evangelion, Kiddy Grade, etc.

And to my eyes, as I just mencioned, the season 1 and season 2 of Beyblade / Beyblade VForce realy don't seem like anime to me.., the stories are very weak (specialy in season 2) and apart from the last episodes on season 1 we don't see a great deal of character development.
Altough, the characters do have potential in my eyes, they always have, despite beeing a bit anime-stereotypical, I always find it pleasing to watch characters like Kai evolve.

Season 3 had a more detailed background, the animation was improved ALOT, and it starts off with a much better story then the previous two; plus, in this one we do see many aspects of character development right from the begining of the series.

I found it very fun to watch season 3 (G revolution), and realy loved some episodes, like the kai vs tyson fight witch seemed like a vegeta vs goku battle :), so season 3 to me is realy the beyblade anime serie.

As for originality.., I don't think I see eye to eye with you.., its based on the exact same aspects as series like Yu-Gi-Oh, etc, just with spinning tops instead of trading cards :P

My advice, skip season 1, 2 and watch season 3, its realy diferent then the rest, has alot of blood and cities beeing destroyed too, all this with spinning tops :D"

"I was trying to costumize my Userpage, and I tryed to add a ID image, but due to the white background it doesn't look good.., so I was wondering if there was any possibility for me to delete it, since I cannot find a way, and thus I rather have an empty ID picture until I find one witch will fit nicely.
Same goes for the desktop screenshot, I also cannot find anyway to leave it at blank (none selected).
If it was possible I'd realy appreciate if maybe someone who is a moderator could do for me on these issues, or if there is a way through the forums, to point me too it.

"Night person, definitivly, and this actualy gets me alot of problems, because I tend to stay up all night going out, etc etc, and eventualy sleeping all day after :P
This is certanly not good when you have important papers to deliver just a few days away in the same week, so usualy its hell for me to organize and then re-organize my proper sleeping schedules.
All & all, I still like night alot more so, I guess I'll never change on that aspect :)"

"Greetings everyone, I've recently started watching this anime and mostely what I've heard from everyone is that its very, VERY good; so.., I went to check some reviews and such, and it turns out, at least from most I've heard that some consider it to be a Neon Genesis Eva clone.

I am currently on episode 4, but of course right from episode 1 I could see distinct similarities between the two, I think the characters may not have the same personality as the ones in EVA, but certanly most of the key elements in Eva are reflected in rahxephon.

So far I am enjoying it either way, even if people call it an eva clone or not, I even mencioned it to several of my friends who had not heard about it, and they where amazed to say the least when I said that in many cases it had better reviews then Eva had; witch also stunned me a bit at first, but after reading comments here and there (trying to avoid most spoilers) it seems it has a great love story and by the middle one will see alot of changes.

I am looking very much forward to it, but I'd like to know what you all think of this anime, so far for me, its been realy good, better then EVA ? Too early to say.

One thing is certain though, it has one of the most beautifull soundtracks that I have ever seen on anime.
The opening theme is outstanding and the song "Hemisphere" just blows you away, literaly :) , if you had not heard this song I STRONGLY advice you to download it, it will sure be whort it.

So, tell me what you think :)

Smoking

"I myself do not smoke but..
I think we are missing a point in here.., it is important if the person smokes.., what she is smoking.
Smoking tobaco has been arround for many many decades, and only after the 1920's or so has it been a increase of the death numbers on people who consumed it (this is just my impression, I do not know any exact numbers of actual dates, so this may be a bit rong).

But this happens because.. more and more are pesticides beeing used in the tobaco, and many other things are then mixed with it, mostely to make the addiction stronger.., what mostely all the top brands of tobaco use on a cigarrate to me is not original tobaco anymore.

Also, as I mencioned just previously, during the past century people have started smoking more compulsively, witch thus leads to larger health problems further in one's life.

If you smoke, but not much, like I have friend that smoke about 2 cigarretes per week or so, I recon even with all the crap the cigars have these days, it will not hurt as much.
But if you continue to smoke packs and packs on just one day, then your buying yourself a 1 way ticked to the hospital for sure.

I honestly it would be better if most smokers did cut down alot, or even quit. But I don't censure anyone who doesn't, I just wished that what they'd smoke was real, good tobaco.

I do censure though people who do not respect the other persons who do not smoke, smokers should have the courtesy to know when they should and should not smoke in public places, I cannot just forgive a person who chooses to smoke right near a baby, that is beyond reason.

Also, on drugs, in that I also have no pitty on the ones who die because of them.
Consuming light drugs, though, ONLY ocasionaly I can let it pass, but never in public places aswell. For the others, people know what they are getting themselves into, and if they choose to go down that road, its they're own fault.
It sounds a bit harsh I know..., but even if things are in the bottom of the well.., there is no escuse to turn to drugs...
At least in my point of view.

"Its been alot of time since I've first watched NGE, and its still one of my favorite anime, as I am sure so it is to many, many, Many people.
Asuka and Rei are very diferent in character, but I find that Asuka is very fun to watch, she realy deserves the nickname of "red devil" :)
About Pen2, I have the deepest respect for him, no human nor animal should be placed to the punishment to try some of Misato's food, poor penguin, what he goes through by living with her :D"

Grade has got to be one of the best anime I have so far seen; not because of the fanservice, but because on the story turns after episode 8-9.
It was one of those rare cases where I just couldn't wait to see the next episode after that.
And again, maybe because its still recent, many do not know of it.., or they kind of give up watching it after the first episodes because they aren't aware of the HUGE twist the anime takes.
The episodes 9, 10 and 11 to me are some of the best work ever done on a anime series, beautifull, simply beautifull.

"Cowboy Bebop and Trigun are very popular Animes, what I mean by this is.., they are more known to a larger number of people then anime like Outlaw Star.
I am not saying Outlaw Star isn't a good anime, but it kind of gets shuffled over the side on networks because they rather air the series they know will bring a larger number of viewers.
Some great anime are this way a bit unknown to alot of people..., I'll take the example of Gasaraki, this to me was a awsome anime, and mostely no one I know has even ever heard of it.. :("

"When I first saw Outlaw Star it seemed like a realy good Anime.., but as further the series went, it kind of got boring, realy fast..., and the ending was at least to me rather strange... (to say the least)
Outlaw Star to me is more of a copy of Lost Universe.., in witch if I had to choose one of the two, Lost Universe would be my choice in an eyeblink, for its far superior :)
Its still a good anime.., but there are many better arround :P"

"I am currently watching Chrno Crusade, it seems to be a very good anime so far; as characters go, each is alot diferent then each other and my taste kind of varies a bit between Joshua and Aion..
Joshua because he has "that" problem and suffers alot with it to a point of insanity, and Aion because he so far just seems like a vilan with his own mind set on something he belives in, pure cynical, decieving and self-centered, - I love characters like that :)
I also hear the manga is better then the series, still, its a series whort watching."

"Hello everyone!I was browsing the web and came across this site, witch obviously left me with my mouth open, after doing the registration (witch was quite easy), I toke a look arround some wallpapers and scans and I was realy amazed at the tremendous quality of all; after downloading a few and submiting a few comments I have to say, you all do amazing work.

I look forward in the future to comment on many and aswell to download some witch I consider realy awsome, this is a great site, very simplifed and easy to access, I will also have my hands full with making a biography, and getting some nice background pictures.

Plus, it seems to have a very good community so, as of now I am realy happy to be part of it.
