Trick or Treat by °chanelqueen17 1 month 2 weeks ago

^nat
After months of work, chanelqueen17 has created a gorgeous scene of Alice and Oz from Pandora Hearts, using scans that didn't even feature both characters together. Even after spending so much time on matching the details of the characters to their new looks, chanelqueen17 didn't stop there and went all out on the background too! This wallpaper definitely needs to be seen!

Who are you! Who am I?

"You can call me Manny, I was born and still live in Chicago, IL (U.S.A). I have the same problem, anytime I visit my parent’s home country (El Salvador). I consider myself El Salvadorian and American, but, to my family and others in El Salvador, I’m only American since I was born in the U.S.A. In the United States some people see me as only Hispanic and not American, so I have that sense of not belonging anywhere sometimes. It gets tough at times when people ask you where you’re from, I usually answer: “My parents are both from El Salvador, but I was born in Chicago/The United States.”

If Vista is release next year would u like to change u'r OS with this

3 years 1 month ago

"
darksonxd
To tell you the truth, i really think that switching right away into a new OS...especially being one made by M1cr0s0ft, it's a bad move. Even if you want to be in fully 64-bit processing mode, the OS is going to be the main target of crackerz, and could be very unstable, incompatible, etc.

It took me like half a year to adapt to windows Xp, and to make all the programs that i was using, compatible to Xp, some of them didn't even made it...so, despite the fact that i'll have several advantages, i'll see Vista develop for some time before thinking of buying it.

I have to agree with darksonxd on this one. I will also wait a few months after the OS is released to let the developers iron out any major problems that the OS may have after its release. I depend on my computer for school and work a lot and don’t really have the time to deal with any major problems (i.e. software issues, etc.). However, I will definitely upgrade when the time is right, because, I always enjoy playing with new things when I have the time."

"Awesome pictures, I really like the first one. I love going to Navy Pier in the summer and I’ve actually been on the ferris wheel on a windy and stormy day. The gondola felt like it was going to fall off. :-("

"That’s a beautiful photo Shikinoxx. I really like that scarecrow. : -)

berryshine, what can I say? I really love the photos you have posted. Keep up the great work.

awesome pictures =) photography is aweomse! XD so much fun, especially when developing your own pictures with film =)

That’s something I really wish to learn. Hopefully, I’ll have a chance to develop my own work someday.

berryshine
omgosh YES! I've taken black and white film photography and I got a chance to develop them myself and maaaan it was SO awesome!! its so great to see your works develop right in front of you <3 emoticon

berryshine, that’s awesome that you developed your own work. How difficult was it? Did you take any classes?

Anyways, here is another photo. I took this one with the cheap little camera I keep in the glove compartment of my car. It’s not a great photo (the quality is crap, etc.), but, I like the way it came out. This is how the photo actually came out. :-) I took this at around 1-2 a.m. by Millennium Park in Chicago.

@Ayato: I love your second picture!! it captures the sky and the beach very well~ do you still have the coloured one?? it's a wonderful picture ^^

Thanks, berryshine. Unfortunately, I don’t have a colored one. I really do regret not taking photos in color that day. It was around 6 or 7 a.m. and it was a beautiful morning. I’m really digging the fourth photo you posted; you have a lot of talent. :-)

...ayato, i love the first one of the beach-scape. im not that good at photography as you guys. heres my thread on here. http://www.animepaper.net/forums/Picture-Board/36211/

Thanks, Shikonxx. Those are all beautiful photos and I especially love the 16th photo in your Random forum post. The color, flowers, and clocks in the background really give it that aged vibe.

heres another i have from the beach, they suck though :P http://www.animepaper.net/forums/Picture-Board/37241/

No, they don’t suck, Shikonxx. Those are all wonderful photos; I really like the 6th photo (the 3 buckets). :-)"

How did you get your screen name

3 years 1 month ago

"When I was registering, nothing came to mind as to what screen name I could use. After spending a few minutes trying to come up with a few, I happened to look to the side of my desk and the first thing I saw was my RahXephon series. Well, RahXephon is one of my favorite anime series and decided to go with Ayato. Not original, but it works. "

500 for an ipod?

Yep, the amount I actually paid was $484.98 at BestBuy. This was for the IPod Photo 60GB, when it came out. :-(

ElectroPoint

There is another alternative to apple's firmware for the ipod, This firmware is called Rockbox.
Personally I have it installed on my ipod video, Ton of good features such as customizing the interface display with background, colors, different text, etc... You also have a bunch of plugins like the game Doom, canculator, and other useful things. Also it can support other audio file formats as well. Like if you have your songs ripped with FLAC it will support playing that format that unlike apple's firmware which doesn't.
Another thing I think is a big thumps up is the using Windows Explorer to drag and drop your files. No more need for a program to transfer your music, just drag and drop file and your done. Now you can also use your ipod as a backup harddrive or external harddrive to store things and transfer files too. There are many other things that are great about Rockbox but I'm not going to list them all since its a bunch.

1 downside to Rockbox is your battery life is going to be cut down since the people are still working on fixing the firmware so that it doesn't always use the CPU at 100% and change it so its variable percent so then it will have better/extended battery life.

http://www.rockbox.org/

Nice, this is the first time I’ve heard of rockbox. I’ll have to check this out. Thanks ElectroPoint."

Someone can explain how to make wallpapers??

3 years 1 month ago

"Hi, iloveRinTohsaka.

You can use some image editing software like Photoshop or Gimp.

Sorry, I can’t be much help in regards with your question. However, there are a few groups you can visit to get some help and answer any questions you may have. For instance, The Resource Pool group. I hope I was helpful in some way and that you find your answer.

iPod Linux

3 years 1 month ago

"I heard about this a while ago and never had the chance to look into it. However, today while I was reading one of my regular Blogs, I came across it again. This has got to be one of the coolest things. So far the site states that iPodLinux is supported on “1st, 2nd, and 3rd generation iPods.” It also states that there currently working to support the later generations of iPod. I haven’t had a chance to explore the whole site, but, hopefully I will this weekend. Anyways, has anyone had a chance to play with this and successfully have it work on your iPod? If you have, how was your experience with it? Did you run into any trouble? Would you consider trying this out? Have any thoughts on this?

I briefly read that you can still boot into the apple software and that the installation is a non-destructive process. However, I paid almost $500 for my iPod photo and I’m a bit worried, so I probably won’t be trying this out until I get a new iPod by the end of the year.

Anyways, the iPodLinux Site has links to videos and screenshots. There’s even a screenshot of doom running on an iPod Nano. Now that's awesome.

"AnimeGrl,

Yep, the look that you give in those two pictures, for some reason reminds me of Kuriyama. However, I believe you are much more attractive than she is. :-) Also, I happen to like the fact that she isn’t smiling in the pictures, but, that’s because I believe smiling in pictures is overrated. ;-)
