"PS3 still got FFXi. And from what I know FFXi Versus is still exclusive.Then we got Disgaea 3, Valkyrie Chronicles and probably more comming games. Little Big Planet and such.
So where do you see it dying?
I can´t understand why as soon people heard that FFXi was going to be released for X0 they started talking about how much Sony has lost the console wars and that the PS3 is dying and I don´t know what."

What Makes You Buy and Play a Video Game?

"What makes me buy a game?Gameplay movies or a brand that I know. I´ve awaited Disgaea 3 almost for a year now. I´ve waited a lot longer for Ar Tonelico 2. And I´ve started waiting for Persona 4 to come.
Why? Simple, I know that they are good games and I want them.
If it isn´t a series that I know of, Chaos Wars being one such game I´ve preordered then I read as much as I can about it. Having 4 companies lend their characters to a strategy RPG sounds fun. And since you get to either fight against or as Grave from GunGrave, well I can´t complain."

"It all depends on the game itself. Battletoads to NES is fucking hard.But then again, if you take your time and play it over and over again it get´s a little easier.
Some games have hard characters, like Zappa(the possessed one) from Guilty Gear XX series, he always kick my butt and I have to be either on a roll or extreme lucky to beat him.
Most of the games that I´ve played lately has had one answer when it´s hard: Level Up.
Mario Kart DD was hard as hell untill I cleared every stage, then it was to easy.
So there are different games out there, hard as hell, hard in the beginning, hard if you don´t level up and many more.
They were there before and are here today."

"Aizen´s weapon, the ability to show illusions and make people see stuff that isn´t there is what is making him so strong.If you´re able to confine an enemy in your illusion then it´s simple to kick his/her butt with ease.

"Well, F/SN is a erogame/visual novel with multiple scenarios and characters. Making an anime out of this is really hard to begin with.F/Hollow is more like an everday version of F/SN.
And don´t forget they have ported F/SN to the PS2. With the undertitle Realta Nua.
For the best experience with F/SN learn japanese and buy the game and play it. Only way to get the "real" F/SN experience."

"Regarding ZoE2: The second runner and Gundam Seed Destiny: Rengoku VS Zaft 2 I don´t know which I would choose. They have the same kind of gameplay(atleast it seems so) but I think I would go for GSD only because there I would be able to kick ass with a Strike Freedom =)Jehuty is a kick-ass machine and very fun to play with, but since I saw S-Freedom I have been sold and love it."

"I´m not having any trouble with the camera in RG...But maybe that´s because I´m so used to having this kind of camera. I didn´t have any trouble in either KH or KH2 either so.
Otherwise I find it more irritating with the "WARNING" type Random Encounters... strolling in a forrest then all of a sudden an alarm goes of and I´m attacked? What the heck?
Or having to backtrack like hell isn´t fun either. First world took me 4hours since I had to backtrack all of the time and go to places I´ve already been at. That´s the one flaw I can find in RG sofar."

"When I understood what I had to do to get all the triforce pieces in TWW I shut the game off for about half a year, or maybe even more. Then I didn´t have anything better to do so I sat down with it again and played it trough. It was boring as hell, the ending was quite good though, but the sailing in TWW was a real killer, I´ve never spend so much time on doing absolutely nothing.Or when I understood I had to make a special kind of demon in SMT: Nocturne then I almost threw it away.
But otherwise, nope, I never forget a game I´ve spent time on so I rarely have to read the manual again."

Three consoles, all with a different view on what gaming is and thus having different titles for us to choose from.
Quite simple: Buy the consoles where you find the most games you want to play. It isn´t harder than that.
For people who try to make it big with "Wii sucks, PS3 rulez" I can only laugh at them. Why even bother? You´re having fun, everyone is having fun with their own machines. Leave it at that and have fun. That´s what consoles are for, having fun while playing the games you want to play."

"How can you compare two games that are so unlike?DQ8 is as harcore as you can get when it comes to RPGs and FFXII is more like a offline version of a MMORPG.

"Beat it, took me 55 hours. Story + characters are what made me continue to play. Otherwise the game was really really bad. realtime battles = good, the ones used in FFXII = bad, what´s real time when it takes four or five seconds to use a simple attack?Square-Enix misstook something for realtime there. To start with.
The story gets cut off, you´re doing one thing and then all of a sudden it´s over, you finished the game just like that. Boring ending as well.
So FFXII isn´t as good as everyone seems to think, it has it´s strong points, definitly, but good? NO!!
but that´s my opinion. Take it or leave it."

"Why not take both? Shining Tears is for me as much anime as it is a game. Beautiful graphics from Tony Taka and then it moves forward with dialoge like in an anime and plays with SD characters.Disgaea 2 is also like anime graphically wise and uses a basic story from anime.
the Street Fighter 2 anime wasn´t that bad. Mario 3 and Super Mario World wasn´t that bad either. But still, nothing beats a pure anime. Or wait now, a lot of visual novels, Air, Kanon, Utaware, Otoboku and many more which are in a way games and good ones have turned into pretty good animes as well.
So with the right studio doing it, everything is possible."

"Why bother with making one of the games better than the others? They all have qualities none of the others have so why bother?Aeris from FFVII, the love triangle with her, Tifa and Cloud or the growing love between Squall & Rinoa? They both are equally good. Can´t say this or that is better than the other.
I find it funny to think people must place a number in front of a game title, otherwise they can´t play it or like it. You play what is fun for you, end of story."

"Both. The manga usually is better but it's always fun to see how they animate the series.And with series like fullmoon wo sagashite it's always a plus since they do have sound so you get to know what they want to sing and such.
Think Macross 7 in manga form? Basara flying and having alot of space with only lyrics?

"Shouldn't we drop this subject?On the note that Kira tried to Kill Shinn but Shinn split. Take a look at Gundam Seed where Kira does the same thing with Duel which Yzak was piloting, same animation and basically the same would have happend: Kira cutting the legs of if Shinn hadn't split like he did, good thing Kira saw this and went trough with his strike.
Shinn did beat Kira that one time, when I watched it happen I hated Shinn, because of his "reasons". Hating Kira when he himself was the main reason Stellar was killed... such an easy manipulated person.
I don't think it had anything to do with skill actually. If you know where your opponent is going to strike then even I wouldn't have a hard time knowing how to evade.
But here we go again. So many "if''s" it's scary. It was a good battle, let's settle things with that."

The battle that was displayed in the series was certainly a draw, since their respective Gundams got blown up.

"Comparing two berserkers who want to kill eachother and saying that just because he got his claws around him he won is in my opinion quite a lame argument. You can grab anyone, if you don't have the power to crush or destroy then you're dead meat. Which is why in a sense, the second Athrun grabbed Kira and tried to fire he ran out of energy thus making Kira the winner since all he had to do is finish him of with a slash from the sword...
And "if" Kira wanted he could have killed Athrun alot of times already before this battle thus making this "fight" a non-existant one.
Why not just drop the subject? I can think of alot more "If" that would make Kira the winner and that isn't exactly what this thread is about so let's just drop this subject ok?"

"Kinda classical anime mixed in with fanservice, but funny as hell so it's worth watching.With "classical" I mean the characters, we have a "loser" that just happends to get his hands on some really powerful stuff that turns out to be a girl and even though they have their differences they like eachother very much after something happend between them.
But a feel-good anime mixed with fanservice and alot of laughter, the dogs, oh how I loved the second/third ep where the battle maniacs got possesed by dogs."

Final Fantasy VII: Dirge of Cerberus - for all the Vincent fans out there...
In Negima, I find it ok since it's nothing more than just fanservice, it's only 20min and actually quite fun. But with the FFVII franschise, how the hell could they destroy the good game like this? Advent Children sucked, Dirge of Cerberus got ruined because of the worthless controlls.
So this fanservice is NOT ok.
It all depends on how you do it. Release an "special episode" like Green Green 13 where they go further than every before and atleast I'll laugh as hell, this is also fanservice.

Having 4-5 girls fight over you = semi-good
Having fun with girls at the beach where they wear so much revealing clothes = good
If I lived in an anime world I think I would love it. Going to school, having after-school clubs, festivals and much more.

"Athrun VS Kira ended in a draw... or if you count the energy left then Kira won since athruns mobile suit died before he could do anything...
Which made him self-destruct and voila, a draw.
Shinns Mobile Suit, well in how you use it makes much of the strength of it. And if you know where your opponent is going to aim then defeating him isn't really that hard...
And if Kira wanted Shinn dead then he would have been dead a long long time ago.
Making your argument of Kira "losing" not so good... since one ended in a draw and the other well let's just say Kira could have "won" the battle quite easily if he wanted to kill Shinn instead of just immobilazing him.

"Great game. Ordered the US version, started playing it. The battle system is alittle bit irritating if you don't watch what you're doing. Graphics, voices, music is top notch, you'll notice the mouths aren't moving in sync with the voices but who cares about that?I've got 8-10 hours logged and I'm in chapter 3 having finished Kraken and the bug in the mines. The battles aren't hard, unless I do battle against some non-physical monster =( Then it's hard. It'll keep my attention a long time after this =) I want to know more about Silmeria.
It's boring to level yes, but with special attacks and the ability to whack away 6 times with the same character is fun =)"

"Playing mostly RPGs and I think I die one or two times nowadays...a newly invested beat em up and I lose like hell, untill I learn some combos and such.
shoot em up well I don't play these since I'll die all my lives and continues on the first stage...
It's all about what game I'm playing. From not one single time to alot all depending on the game itself."
