"Buy a laptop (at least 17"). One with a really long battery life (you can get some that lasts up to 4 hrs i think). And a big HD space (and at least 1gb RAM). Get intel pentium 4 at least (duo core is recommended).Change the OS system to windows XP (1. Vista is crap. 2. XP takes less power TRUST ME!!).
Then, fully charge it. Put all the H264 format animes that you want
and then...TA-DA~~
QUALITY anime with DECENT resolution; its portable as well!! How can this idea possibly lose?!"

"Yeah, im getting pretty disappointed myself too in the animes being released recently. If the problem isnt its low quality/not really my thing animation, its the plot (HAREM). I mean seriously, fine...go harem...but at least make it decent (Kanon 2006, Clannad etc = WIN HAREM). But now? Oh i would not like to name animes (because i might get flamed for it) but some of the harem ones are really $#!^And im jealous of you guys. I've never been to an anime club before. Partially because there might be none where i live (at least i think. Or maybe because i really dont go out much...lol).
Ah well, imo, i prefer watching anime by myself anyway."

"I got an I-pod Video but NO...never will i ever settle for anime in monitors below 15".Maybe if im rewatching it, its not so bad. But see, anime for me is not just "something" its "that thing". So i would rather watch it with quality. And another thing as well is the environment. If im to watch anime, i want total silence and id rather be alone. "I suppose that by my title, im implying that the ones who reply are those who have watched anime at least 3 yearsbut by all means, any opinion is welcomed (well, except lamers flamers)
Anyway, on to the topic:
Re-watching anime after 3-5 years. Do YOU find the anime better or possibly...worse
So why ask such a...i dunno wierd question?
Well, the topic just entered my mind after i was rewatching some anime that was dated somewhere at 2000-2004. 3-5 years ago (id say i was about 15 or something) was when i got addicted to anime and went more hardcore than usual (but i have been watching since i was like 9 or something). Anyways, found some DVD's, which were some of the very first anime's i watched in the computer (all the anime i watched when i was below 14 was on T.V. and was pretty much the "west" anime titles...if you know what i mean) and decided to watch them again, cuz i was bored.
Back then (3-5 years ago), if someone asked me what i thought about "that" anime, i wouldve said "It was pretty good" or something along those lines. But if someone asks me what i think about "them" now, i would say straight away..."Its a masterpiece".
I dunno why, maybe because when i was 15, i was such an immature punk that basically just watched anime for the action . But after 3-5 years, i guess my view about things in life changed (well i "did" go through the "teens" stage) and i started thinking...more mature?? and actually gave a damn about the plot (meh im being too emo now am i?).
I still like action but somehow...i got bored of it?

What's would you want to happen to your anime collection after you die?

"Well the DVD's are already kinda becoming obselete.I have about 500GB worth of anime in DVD's (yes, i download anime. Yes, its illegal. Yes i should be shot) and ever since i got me myself and external Hard Drive, ive been basically burning and putting the files in my external HD before i erase it in my normal HD.
So pretty much soon, i might get lazy to burn and just transfer them to my other HD's. And here is when the phrase "becoming obselete" comes in i guess.
Anyways, my collection. I like the saying "...To the grave" thing so yeah? When i die, all my anime stuff...comes with me...to the grave :P (Of course well sealed and stuff)"

"A good ending is kinda necessary because a bad meal + a good dessert is better than a good meal + bad dessert. Its all because of the "aftertaste"But, i guess some anime have a really really good start and even if the ending was a bit of a downfall, its not too bad. And i remember some anime that i actually gave a thumbs up when the show was pretty crap the whole time, only it had a good ending.
As for second season stuffs, well, they piss me off a bit...only sometimes though. I guess it also depends on my mood"

"I agree with 2-4 but no to 1I dunno why though, but i really find it an insult every-goddamn-time some british guy (im from the UK) calls what i watch cartoon.
Its kinda like them = "west" know what i mean? If some random anime fan told me cartoon and anime are the same (example: Azusa) i DONT find it "as" insulting (in fact, between anime fan friends, we'd probably just laugh off the topic). Its just the whole thing about THEM (idiots who prejudge that anime and cartoon are the same IN EVERY ASPECT when they havent even watched anime) and anime...sigh i guess im not making much sense.
Well, i dunno why i myself find anime being called cartoon is insulting.
But that whole thing about Japan being a nation and them not "truly" accepting anyone from the outside, i already knew that. Thats why i never became the "harcore Japanese wanna be anime fan from the west" kinda guy cuz i DO keep some sense of reality to myself.
And one last thing...back to the anime = cartoon disagreement again.
Why do i watch anime? Lets see...entertainment? My Genre of Choice? DRAMA
Now, if anyone can kindly point a WEST CARTOON with GOOD DRAMA...then fine ill stand corrected. I mean sure...there are some "supposedly good cartoons" that "everyone likes here (UK)" like Simpsons, Futurama or w/e. Do they have drama? NO...which is why i HATE THEM

"LOL i always do.but then i start rewatching it again (which i can manage in a day or two). I mean seriously...i stopped watching Bleach for like 6 months. And i caught up in two days (it was summer break at that time).
Its the usual routine for me anyway. And after ive caught up, ill probably keep watching for about a month and then stop again. Same with Naruto."
