"If you want simplified then i suggest you get illustrator, paid or by ....o t h e are ways (shifts eyes) but yea at least you can vector in PS i can only do it in illustrator i shit bricks in PS. but if you plan on keeping yourself solid with PS then i suggest you use this tut as i ran into it by accident when i started vectoring.

"You kind have a ways to go to make it shine, cuz i thought you were using the pen tool on a very blurry setting. if you want post the actual image of haruka and show you what i mean. and you should REALLY use illustrator for vectors cuz its so much easier. the ones i gave you are for vectors not filtered or stock images.

"Take a look at my 7up wallpaper on my userpage notice the character has a white ouline and the shadows of the image are filled in with orange, i just wanted a clean desktop wallpaper so i did that. what i think maybe you should try is make only an "outline" only of the character (mine is filled - the white base) and then fill in the shadows (orange parts) like i did but with a different color say a mac complementary color, but make it real detailed to make people like it. my character design took me like maybe 2 days to get right so at least its original.

oh btw watch for my new wall it should be out today hopefully "

"Hmm you should use imageshack and not that cuz its too small and cant really fully comment, but from what i see the extraction is good but the bg doesnt really complement it. you should try a different approach something actually you would see in real life, dunno what but maybe like a stage or something. and try to use textures to give it some life and not a 2D feel. hope this helps."

"Hmm i see your going for that mac simplistic feel (i see what you did there XD), you know i actually like where this is going those blue orbs are decent nice and crisp. the bg could have a bit more bite to it say a highlight and shadow to make it feel like real metal. the character should be more defined not just a blurred outline, i would actually prefer if it was a vector outline and just fill in the shadows with the pen tool it would then kick ass.

"Hmm what anime is this supposd to be? i like the fact that YES! someone finally posted in high res to allow maximum feedback and not crappy 800x600. so yea i think the charcter needs to be more defined say actualfeatures like shadows and highlights and not just a deeply darkned scan the gaussian blurred. i would recommend you stay away from these types of walls since they just leave you thinking what to add. try a simple (note simple) vector of your scan and not some crazy grayserg vector lol. and the chromed digital text aint to shabby but it doesnt follow suit. for a bg try doing some easy sky bg or something along those lines."

LOL). maybe instead of text how about make like tose old factory bg's like the rusted wall but blackish red gray. and at the end i would add some brush highlights and shadows over it with the dodge and burn tool. overall im liking the direction its going."

"Hmm i would work on the lineart of the character some more because it just seems like a photocopy to me lol, have you trying retracing with the pen tool and not vectoring the whole image. cuz your re-design would look far better if you retraced it, but the second one would require a vector job since it is a colorful wall.
