The amount of patience, hard work and an eye for quality is what defines this wallpaper. Character is painstakingly vectored off a real life toy image with references to screenshots. Despite the difficulty level,
~pvc24 still manages to nicely depict the image in anime fashion and yet able to find the mental strength to come up with a background composition that is both aptly fun and pleasant in atmosphere.
Who's a pianist here in AP?
5 days 20 hours ago
"I agree, a short, interesting classical piece would be best. Yet it also depends on the audience; some people are absolutely thrilled when you play the Moonlight Sonata or Für Elise for them, on the other hand, people who play the piano themselves will tend to prefer less common pieces. And, of course, make sure you're able to play the piece perfectly - if possible by heart - since the atmosphere of a recital usually adds some excitment and thus allows mistakes to slip in easily (at least that's what I've observed over the years).
If you don't feel like buying a book: there's quite a lot of free classical music out there. In any case, listening to a couple of CDs/Mp3s/Samples might give you an idea what a piece sounds like without having to play it first.
Anyway, good luck! ;)"

how do you fight stress?
9 months 1 week ago
"Luckily, I'm pretty good with stress; otherwise I would've never survived university^^'But for me it really helps to just sit down at my piano and play some nice, soothing melodies, probably sing to it as well (actually, any instrument is fine with me^^').
If I'm not in the mood for playing myself (happens rarely, though), I just plug in my headphones, turn on my mp3 player, lay down on the floor and close my eyes. I guess it's really the music that does the trick for me..."

Why Americans shouldn't cosplay
9 months 1 week ago
"Well, I suppose you do live in the wrong country then *lol*. I think it's somewhat of a prejudice. Sure, I do know people who really just ... live it out too much, which already makes them geeky... But the average anime-crazed girl/woman, like me, over here in Germany, certainly doesn't have anything (well, too) geeky about her^^' You can't just always judge from the looks of people.
All right, back to the cosplaying.. I agree with most of the others saying that it really depends on the looks, not the nationality. Most anime characters, in my humble opinion, often don't have features that are uniquely Japanese/Asian and could thus only be cosplayed by Asians. Jeez, just chose yourself a character you at least somewhat look like, put some effort in the costume and that should produce an at least presentable result.
Cosplaying in Japan is a much larger deal than it is over the US or Europe. It is practically a part of everyday youth culture, when, over here, cosplaying, you're definitely more like the odd one out..
That's about as much ranting as I'm gonna do today before I return to studying. Kind of feel like I should mention I've always thought about cosplaying Tifa ^_~"

How are we supposed to affored anime?
1 year 3 weeks ago
"One of the main reasons for the high prices for Anime DVDs is that the genre has a relatively small audience - don't get me wrong: what I am saying is that it is comparatively smaller than those action blockbusters which sell millions.Over the past few years I have already noticed prices going down; when I first started watching and consequently buying anime about 10 years ago, it was anything but affordable.
I believe that, the more popular anime becomes, the cheaper the media (DVDs, Blueray etc) will be - and I seriously hope so.
Anyway: I am not too fond of series on DVD-V, since you get a maximum of 2 hours of video, compared to an average of 26 episodes per data DVD.
Another side note: Hobbies are - unfortunately - always expensive. Imagine purchasing the James Bond collector's box or something like complete sets of Star Trek, X-Files or any other random, long running series. "

"Okay, here's the wallpaper I "finished" a little bit ago, it's from Sen to Chihiro no Kamikakushi. But before even trying to submit it, I thought I'd better try it here first and ask for a few comments. Constructive Criticism only, of course.View
