"Well first of all I'm not gonna be strict with you so don't worry

First of all you should look at the quality of the scan.....either you find a scan with a better quality or vector it
In this case you can just duplicate the layer of the scan median>>>5 then overlay (if using photoshop)...i think that'll do the trick

second is your extraction. For beginners the lasso tool is the best(if using photoshop) easier to control

third is you need to plan out the background.which goes with the scan.

Fourth . The double image doesn't look good.

And last but not the least the font. The font should go with the wall.

Try downloading diffirent brushes or use tutorials to create awesome effects "
