"I think this looks pretty promising myself.This is an excellent start, if you need to you can find a scan/pic of Haruhi at the right resolution. That would make it easier to make it as large as needed. As far as extraction there are some links in the resource pool forum/group you can review. Good luck and have fun. :)

Not sure what to suggest. You might try putting a few snowflakes, 2-3, Scattered about the rest of the wall instead of just along the edge of the white brush strokes. You might also cut down just a little on how much white space you have around her and the logo.

I think that you need to cut down on the "glare" in the first wall. I know it can be a style to have the characters/focus blur into the background. However, I think it would look better if the characters were distinct from the background. It's just a little bit too bright in my opinion.
As to the second, it has the potential to be a lot of fun. maybe shift how you have it arranged for a better over all balance. For example move the foreground/main image to the right third of the wall. Then move the 2nd layer/image to the left a bit and move the small snapshot over to the left side about the same height maybe a little bit lower. The text for the name should also shift over to the left. Okay, enough of my telling you how I'd do the wall, it's yours not mine. So. Have fun with your wall.

I think that position of characters needs to be tweaked a bit, either farther right or centered (as per angel voice's comment). That's the part that jumps out most. You do need to blend it in a bit though. Or do something to accent it being 3-d or something. Sorry bout being so vague. Having an off day here.

It's a cute lil wall that you have there. :) It's a little bare though. the flash/burst behind her tends to fade into the background. So it doesn't have much chance to add much in the way of balance to your piece. Otherwise if you can't see the lines/rays the wall is super-heavy weighted to the left. The first of three options I see are to change the color of the burst behind her to something that stands out a bit more without overwhelming the other colors in the wall. The second of the two is to play with the size/position of the text. The third is to put a texture on the background to give the wall a bit more feel/life to it.

I personally think that if you can clear up the text to the right, make it more legible that would be a plus. Yet that's just me.:) Anywho pretty good work there. :)

Just cut down on the number of feathers by oh 20-30%. There are some tutorials on extractions out there. No urls come to mind at the moment. (Gomen Nasaii! *Grovel grovel*) One thing I use, that I don't remember who I picked it up from, is to makea new layer and flood fill it with a garish neon-bright color, and move it behind the layer you're working with. The promoted background/layer that is. That way you can see what ya have and what ya don't. Hmmm sounds like a quote or a paraphrase there.

I love the series, and this is a pretty neat idea for a wall. I do tend to agree about the too many feathers. As to the font, it would be so cool if you had the same font as that in title (admittedly I have no idea where to get it) with a bit of slant to it. Also, Have you considered playing around with applying a soft blur to parts of the image? Possibly using different layers in setting it up?
My two bits, anywho have fun and keep up the good work.

Tone down the blue a little, maybe shift the logo up some and maybe a hair towards the center. Add something else to the background? Hmmm, I'd say yes. Not sure how much though. You could do something like lines or stars or something along those lines. You might browse through your filters to see if there's anything that might add to the wall or not. Hard to suggest what to add. Either it's minimal or it's on its way to being something else but hasn't gotten there yet.

"Hello there.
To start with I'd either resize the character or shift the position. The biggest thing is figuring out how you want to incorporate the character into your wallpaper.
For example, Contemplative scene, shift the character to the right, possibly resize and shift to the lower right. Shift the color of the background to a light color. (light blue for example) Decide what "filler" to use for your background. Clouds, semi-transparent images of scenes/characters that relate to the main character.
The thing to keep in mind is to not forget to keep your composition in balance. Think of the screen in thirds when placing things.
Gonna leave it at that. trying to convey too much info and the wall is yours not mine. :)

"Hmm,
I have a suggestion based on composition and balance. While it's a lil difficult for me to be certain due to the size of the pic of your wall, I think you have the figures pretty much spot on as far as placement, however the leftmost area feels very empty and unbalanced. You might try raising the moviestrip just a little bit higher.
It will still lead the eyes to the characters, yet it will reduce the impact of the empty area to something that doesn't distract from the characters. That's my biggest suggestion.
