AMD can keep up in price/performance with their X2 series and X4 series. Saying that only Budget computers should use AMD is false. I have no problem keeping up with Intels Mid range Dualcore chips and im running a 5200+ . Again im going to refer to the chips higher clock and bus.

PS this machine costs about $1,200.00"

"Yes the 9600gt is a bit slower than the 8800gts and i barely get 30-40fps in a firefight. Since the 9800gtx have dropped significantly in the last month i'm going to pick one up and stick the 8800gts in my other machine."

"I say that there are noticable differences in the way FLAC and mp3 sound. Just listening to the same track in mp3 and FLAC i can notice some higher pitched treble sounds coming from the FLAC that are generally really quiet in the mp3 file. This is just because higher and some lower pitches are generally tossed out of the mp3 in turn for the more mid ranged sounds.

At 320kbps though it is hard to pick up the differences but if you pay attention it is noticable."

"WaruiKoohii, have you ever tested that? I have people coming into the shop with ATI GPUs on NVidia Chipset Boards and it's always a bluescreen while running high graphic games. Not every board/gpu will do it but it's a major risk you have to think about."

"Just make sure you have a neutral Chipset, ie. Intel, VIA, ect. If you try and use an Nvidia Card on an ATI Chipset of vice-versa you will experience crashes and blue screens of death.

Oh, and the 4870's are the best for performance/price. It's a great card."

I already think of Dual CPU Quad-Core Systems as Octo-Core. Servers use them regularly but i don't see having anything larger than 1 Quad-Core for a large number of years to come. The reason? Not even every program yet uses the Dual-Core CPUs to their full potential let alone Quad-Cores. The only time a Multi-Core is used correctly would be changing strings of data in the program itself, rendering programs that are used in film production, or servers that handle an intense amount of load. "

"Im going to have to disagree with Intel being better for more intensive applications. It is well known that AMD Chips are designed to be Multi-tasking and Gaming based chips. AMD just announced that they are moving in a different direction, They will no longer build chips on the bases of who can open a program faster but who can give that program the most efficient processing and overall most bandwidth. The two companies both seem to change the leader every 2 years or so, i'm just waiting to AMD to gain the upper hand again.

Again it's price to performance and you get about the same for your money no matter who you go with anyways."

How does you family feel about Anime?

"It boggles my mind when people come onto websites that are devoted to Anime to give an opinion like that. I agree that there are a lot of bad Anime out there, but i do not agree that it is a waste of time. Anime is like any other form of Video media, you would then have to state that all Movies, Viral Videos, and TV Shows are a waste of time. It's sad to see people say things about a specific subject when it applies to the entire medium.

Now that i have my rant out of the way, I was just thinking that a lot of my uncles are the ones responsible for showing me Anime when i was young. They would bring movies over that they recorded for me (Ranma 1/2, Madox01, ect). So i totally blame them for getting me hooked."

Console or PC?

"I always hear the argument that It is too expensive to build a PC capable of gaming. This is not the case nowadays and building a PC can be as cheap as buying the higher end versions of consoles. $500 for the tower and another $200 for a monitor and you will be set for a good 2 years. Then when you do need an upgrade you have a base to do so already which in the end beats buying a new gaming console every 3-4 years. Also the graphics are way better on the computer, even if you have a low end computer (AA and Texture Filtering anyone?)"

"Personally if you play this game on the PC just for its single player campaign you are missing out. This game was meant to be a competitive game like Counter Strike Source, which is why i play both of those games.

The only problem i have with this game is that they haven't fix spawning right beside or inside a group of enemies, or spawning inside something like an airstrike area which is totally not cool and should not give points to the other team."

"Please keep that "Not dark enough" attitude out of this for now. Since when was Lut Gholein "Dark"? I think they had a good mix of Light and Dark scenes in the gameplay trailer and i would like to be able to see whats going on outside, and you know... outside + sun = bright.

"All in all i nice machine. I would have gone with a 9600gt since they are about the same price now, also that 8600gt only has GDDR2? Strange. For better performance i suggest getting even a cheap $20+ soundcard so you don't use up any system resources you don't need to.

Intel or AMD Processor

"I don't know if anyone mentioned this because i only looked through a few pages. But if you are going for a low to mid ranged PC i would suggest going AMD ove Intel for price and performance. Intels Low and Mid range chips aren't as fast as they should be and i have a lot of problems with them when i'm working at the shop where as the AMDs seem to perform well even if you have a $50 3500+.

And i can give you a technical def. answer for why this is.

AMD chips have a superior Front Side Bus, This means that the CPU can communicate faster with the RAM, in turn making your system run smoother. Now because the low end Intel Chips have slow FSB to start with this is a bad choice for a low end machine because it cripples its performance further. This doesn't matter with the Higher end Intel Chips because the FSB is fast enough to cope with Intels weird FSB Timing settings.

Currently I am running all AMD chips in my house (AM2 X2 4600+, AM2 X2 4600+, AM2 X2 6000+) and i am happily running games like crysis with full graphics with no lag. and for systems that cost me under $800 to build i would say thats pretty good."

"First off i have to say that i love trance and techno and that second i love Japan and Anime. Mix those two things together and get ready for awesomeness! I first started to listen to them about a year ago when i was searching for some OSTs online and came across one of their "Anime Best" CDs (I think 1 and 2) so i downloaded them and they are some of the greatest remix' i have ever heard!

So basically my question is, who else has heard of this "group"? And, are their any other groups that do J-Rock, J-Pop, or Anime remix'?"

"Hmmm... Ii use to be addicted to most games, Counter Strike Source, World of Warcraft, Oblivion, ect. But lately i haven't been too into games other than the random occasion that i pull out Call of Duty 4 or Team Fortress 2.

I think it's because of my age and gaming isn't as important to me anymore, i still like to game but i could never sit down for 8 hour days like i use to. "
