After months of work, chanelqueen17 has created a gorgeous scene of Alice and Oz from Pandora Hearts, using scans that didn't even feature both characters together. Even after spending so much time on matching the details of the characters to their new looks, chanelqueen17 didn't stop there and went all out on the background too! Who's throwing out stats? And if they are, it's only to point out the inconsistencies in people's arguments. Like for example, the argument you brought up here. The PS3 isn't selling terribly, it's selling worse than the 360 and the Wii but it's not selling terribly. Wii's running off with the competition and then some and the 360 has been out longer and has easier to use processor than the PS3 thus companies are leaning more towards that one as it's more popular and is easier to use. So saying it's selling terribly is a "statistically" wrong comment as it's a popular console on its own merits.

Also not true. Whilst it may indeed be a cheap blu-ray player and whilst it may have also bumped its sales up at the same time, you seem to be forgetting it plays about 75% of the same catalogue the 360 has, free online and DLC access, has MGS4 and other potential hot exclusives coming out. So no, again, not true.

People who are upset resort to calling it "backstabbing" with the way that certain titles are jumping ship from the PS3, but when you consider that companies have to earn money to stay in business it would be foolish to assume they are going to stay with a console that can hardly sell itself.


You had a good point until you decided to unjustly rip into the console again. But I've already explained how the console sells itself so I'll just skip that. The people who do resort to calling it "backstabbing" are quite wrong and cannot see it from the business side of things at all. Whilst it may suck for the PS3 fan for Final Fantasy 13 to come out on the 360, it is nothing more than good business in the eyes of the company president.

If you don't believe me, look at the different games for sale for each system. It really speaks for itself.


Pretty much the same catalogue, the 360 just has more exclusives at the moment. The PS3 has a few great exclusives on the horizon so let's wait and see before we start hurling abuse at consoles.

Agreed. No console is rightfully better than the other. Each console has its drawbacks and its pluses. What you think is your own opinion but you can't just disregard stats when they show the flaws in your opinions. Not that I'm saying you're wrong and yadda-yadda-yadda but you have to be somewhat more accepting of facts before criticizing a console so harshly."

Many Playstation fanatics claim that games like Resistance 2 and Killzone 2 can save the PS3, but how could they if the Xbox has games of the same genre which are much better? *cough* Halo and Gears of War *cough* I mean, really... who wants to play Killzone 2 if nobody wanted to play Killzone 1?


Excuse me? One, both games haven't been released so you have absolutely no basis of judgement and two, that sounds like quite an Xbot opinion to be quite honest. Halo's reception was an even divide in regards to gamers, sure, a lot of people love it but a lot of people also dismissed it as highly over-rated. Gears of War as well, whilst some find it amazing, some of us don't find it to be that great. As for Killzone 2, well, you should really keep a closer eye on the gaming community. Hype for that game is quite big, it has been since that first trailer it showed way back when. Why would they want to play it? Because it's gone through drastic and needed rehauls? Because it looks great? It actually looks epic this time? Do you NEED to be a fan of the first one to be excited for the second?

Like Cy, I don't want to sound like a dick but your argument is fairly weak. Whilst I may agree with you on the fact that Sony needs to shake up their attitude involving exclusivies as the console *at the moment* lacks any big name powers but it's far from, as you seem to be implying, a useless machine.

Also one more thing, Rock Band 2 is hardly a major game which shook the gaming community's world now so why does it matter if it's a timed exclusive? PS3 owners will either wait or get Guitar Hero: World Tour. Big whoop."

- Jun Takeuchi has confirmed that the infamous Resident Evil contigent, the typewriter has officially been taken out of the game.

"Actually, I really like typewriters; they're really typical of the Resident Evil series. But this time, the save system will be a combination of checkpoints and chapters." - Jun Takeuchi

- Also we have one new official character announced and her relevance to the storyline outlined. Also one character we all knew was coming back. The new character is Excella Gione, who was seen briefly in the E3 trailer, a relative of the TriCell pharmaceutical founder and president of the Africa branch office. As for the not so new character, why it's of course the great Albert Wesker making his return. A screenshot of both characters can be found in the links below.

And Bwilhelm is mistaken, there are no trophies for MGS4 yet nor are there rumors of some coming soon and there will never be any trophies for Devil May Cry 4 which has been confirmed by Capcom themselves."

Tomb Raider : Underworld

"I can't say I'm the biggest Tomb Raider fan out there but this title has gained my interest somewhat. The new additions you've mentioned and the general atmosphere and ambience of the game is quite appealing to me.

My only big worries are things I've had gripes about in the past. Things like the combat, camera, mood, graphics and the physics. A lot of those were corrected in Legends and Anniversary but whilst I *wanted* to get into and love it for what it was, I still couldn't enjoy the combat because it seemed too old and simple to be enjoyable. Whilst her gymnastic abilities were mostly impossible and somewhat stupid for the most part, whilst I'm willing to forgive a game for bending reality for a few seconds but when you're doing a puzzle revolved around impossible gymnastic maneuvres then I can't hack it. It's kinda how I felt about the anti-gravity stuff in Advent Children but that's another matter.

Hopefully this game will keep on looking good, I think this new team has the ability to really turn this series into something big again."

To further elaborate on Cy's epic post of truth, to all those who are using Final Fantasy 13 as a foreboding element to your conspiracy theories I'd like to remind you of a couple things.

1. The 360 version hasn't even started development phases yet so the PS3 is getting it first
2. The graphics will be stronger on the Playstation 3 due to development being so far ahead on the PS3 version without any past consideration of 360's technical limits
3. To emphasis on Cy's point more, the deal was made because more Westerners have 360s than PS3s right now (Yes, analyze that as you wish, I know a lot of you will be wrong anyway) and what do Square-Enix care about ladies and gentlemen? Yes, that's right. Cold hard cash. Now if we put two and two together... Gasp! What do you know?! A 360 title sounds ideal!
4. It's ONE game. Are you seriously saying a whole console revolves around ONE game? Especially when RPGs are decreasing in popularity in the West? C'mon.

That being said, I shall retreat and watch again. Toodle-oo!"

"72 hours I believe. Stress, romantic issues and school drama stopped me from sleeping peacefully I believe. I was an absolute wreck by the third day, found it so hard not to just completely fall dead asleep on the school table whilst in class. Such a horrible couple of days."

MAG ps3 exclusive

"256 players is definetely amazing but for those saying it's impossible, let's remember Resistence 2 has 60 player multiplayer and has suffered no lag so far in play tests done by critics.

I'll keep my eye on this game but I can't say I'm terribly excited for its release as I'm not a huge MMO fan. The 256 player war definetely has me intrigued but I don't think the title will remain as MAG but be changed into SOCOM something as it's the same company."

Star Wars: The Force Unleashed.

"As a Star Wars fan, I say it's a worthy buy for any true Star Wars fan. The gameplay, whilst not being the most solid production ever seen by man, is fun for the most part, the graphics are nice but not amazing, the soundtrack is the usual epic Star Wars stuff and the story is very well done.

All in all, I would say this game easily tops Episode I, II and i. The reviews which have given it bad reviews have emphasized a lot on minor issues. There's a lot of combos within the game, you have depth within the Force yet most review sites claim repetitive combat which puzzles me as the game doesn't particularly suffer from that unless you fight the same way over and over again.

I would still say it's a worthy buy for Star Wars fan despite issues with enemies, boss fights and camera niggles. For non Star Wars fans, it's a good rent for the weekend."

"Okay, just to clarify here as everyone is jumping to conclusions. Star Ocean 4 is not a 360 exclusive. As of yet, it has only been confirmed for the 360 but the team has stated there is a PS3 version in the works too, most likely to come out afterwards due to development time.

The main reason the 360 has more RPGs as of yet is due to the PS3's cell and the difficulty in working with it at first. As soon as developers get more adjusted to the workings of the cell then they'll start releasing PS3 RPGs regularly."

Well, I think Capcom should take this opportunity to impress the pants off everyone. It's one of video game's most well-known series, so they should definitely try to step it up.


I wouldn't go quite that far. They haven't got the real need to impress anyone. The whole world was vastly impressed with Resident Evil 4 which is why there's a strong hype about Resident Evil 5. More of a case of that they need to keep in line with RE4's successes and strong points and correcting the weaknesses."

"I forgot to mention that in my first post I believe but yes, RE5 does indeed have online co-op and a cover system. My only worry is that it won't become another Gears of War copy. That game was fun and all but everything that includes guns seems to need to copy the cover system."

And PlayStation only games such as Final Fantasy Xi is going on Xbox360 so there isn't much to look forward to in the game category this year.


Final Fantasy 13 wasn't coming out this year anyway so that comment is debunked already. Playstation 3 has the same games coming out as the 360 sans a few 360 exclusives such as Gears of War 2, Banjo and Tales of Vesperia. Not only that you have a big-time exclusive with LittleBigPlanet, a rumoured Home release and Valkyria Chronicles so there is SOMETHING to look forward to regardless.

"I would probably advise a rent then first if you're still wary about actually purchasing. That's coming from a guy whose made a looooot of bad purchases on the impulse. =P I usually head down to my local Blockbuster and pick it up there, only a couple of bucks and you get a day or two to get to grips. If you don't want to complete it then you could always mess around on the first few levels, get to know the game, learn the controls etc. then if you get addicted then you should purchase it.

It's what I do anyway, saved me from looking into buying Turok which turned out to be a beast of a game and not in the nice sense."

True, there were copyright infringement issues, but if I were Kojima, I would've just bitten the bullet, and paid whatever I had to to make sure that song was thorough infused into the final game in this saga.


There weren't actually any copyright infringement issues. Kojima was just too proud to be accused of plagiarism so he cut it from the game, if he were to bite the bullet then nothing would have happened. There was absolutely no threat of a legal case, if there were then it would have come up well before MGS4's release."

"If I was to get it then I'd probably get it on the PS3 as it's the only next gen system I have and shall be the only one I'll probably stick to. As for the game itself, it was a good Star Wars game but as a game individually it was alright. The lightsaber action felt very restricted and I wasn't total fan of the whole battle system seeming to revolve around picking stuff up or pushing stuff with Force powers. I'll probably rent it or borrow it from a friend first to get a verdict on the final product before thinking about a purchase."

"There's new information regarding Resident Evil 5. Jun Takechi has said that the control system shown to the public at E3 will be given a drastic rehaul, such a drastic rehaul that it won't feel similar to RE4 at all. So for those who are fretting about RE5 feeling like RE4, well that should all be different by the time TGS rolls by hopefully.

Even though I am going off the subject at hand I was disappointed with the Umbrella Chronicles as well as they didn't have RE2 or RE4 in the game.

HUNK was impressive in RE4 with his kicking move and neck breaker, so I guess that if he does come back Capcom will use them moves again.


Well, there's a rumour going around that Capcom are working on a RE2 remake for the Wii which shall play like RE4. As for HUNK, I would expect so. I don't see them putting much effort into revising moves."

"Hey, thanks for the info! I didn't know anything about this until reading the topic, it's a shame the next in this great series is coming out to the handheld but I'm guessing they're trying to release something for cheaper whilst deciding how to handle a home console entry.

Apart from that, it looks intriguing and I'm kinda interested into how it's going work. I was kinda hoping for something more 2D along the lines of Suikoden 2 as I'm not much of a fan of the chibi format but hey, won't knock it until I've tried it."
