Who's the best Main Charecter?

"Go ahead, tell me your thoughts... I want to know who you thought was the coolest main charecter in a game! Even if I haven't played the game lol, I still want to know. My top 3 are as follows:

3.) Leon- Resident Evil 4; why you ask. This guy was rightious lol, I loved the gameplay and I found it to be one of the most time consuming and fun first person shooters available (next to Halo :P). The whole camara veiw being revamped was a major bounus. And I just LOVE shooting zombies!

2.) Ryu- Street Fighter; now when I say 2-D fighter the first game that should pop in your head would be Street Fighter (or Mortal Kombat lol). In any case though, if I had to decide between either I'm a S.F. kinda guy. I belive this game put most fighting games to the point that they're at in their current state. And Ryu stands to be one of the coolest fighters in this franchise.

1.) Solid Snake- Metal Gear Solid; this should be another no brainer. I can't help but love the gameplay from the older N.E.S. versions to the P.S.2s'. This game should be marked as a turning point in all espionage, stealth, type gaming. And Snake is just a bad mother *shut yo' mouth!* (lol)

So go ahead let me know who rank as the some of the top main charecters in video games today.

Who's Waiting for the New Castlevania on DS??

"Ya know what though, even though "S.O.T.N." was a great game and original in its time especially for Konami... these newer ones that have come to the handheld DS systems are awsome! And they're extremly difficult in some mesures as well. Take for instance "Circle of the moon," the game was produced for the G.B.A. and was great, and the gameplay even more so. But your right I suppose I would much rather stick to playing "S.O.T.N." after you have beaten all the newest ones, that one still can push out some serious entertainment. My fav. wepon in the S.O.T.N. were the "Osafune Katanas!" Those puppys were really hard to get to, and awsome once you had them in your inventory. I also collected them in the Version of the game that came out for the D.S. and after the second time I beat it I used them to beat Dracula lol. So how well did you guys do on the PS2s' rendition of the game? I made it to dracula and quit playing... but I made to him with 100% game play ^_^ (just like evrey other Castlevania!) Well Im gonna go I got things that need to be done... or else I could sit and talk about Castlevania all day for the most part lol.

"WOW! LOL Im surprised this thread hasn't been Locked it's been awhile from the last time I posted ^_^ But... I still live on... (Weee!). I have been way to busy to play the game actually the thought has crossed my mind to just trade it in and see what I can get in return for it, lol. But then again it is way to much fun to just get rid of it. So I am glad to hear that evreyone has acomplished so much! Like I said as for me I have been to distracted to sit down and play, with muh new job and all... so between school and work I have no free time. I actually had today off hence the re-post. Lynx dude thats the same thing that happend to me too lol on the to that same esper, I had to turn around and flee lol. That freaking cavern is very hard, all the skeletons on the way become somewhat overwhelming... so I just suggest to hold off and go try your luck on the optional esper in the Dalmasca Westersands, he isn't to bad just his minions become a task. ^_^ I am excited though that this topic has recived almost 6 pages worth of posts! Just lets me know that all of us has nothing better to with our time lol (Hahaha!) Well I'm off again maybe I will go pop in the game here in abit. Please keep me informed and up to date on all the info you have... and rember if there are any questioins please ask I'm sure someone here will have a answer for you if I can't find one lol. "Hahahaha, thats to funny I went and saw a movie as well "Happy Feet!" that movie was alright, not what I thought though. I still havent played any XII though, so as far as any big updates I have none. I relaxed from the gameplay and setteled down lol. I was starting to lose muh mind O_o But I'm sure I will continue to pick up where I left off shortly. Only thing I was doing anyway were the hunts. I was working on collecting items, and grinding out my levels. But thank you Lynx for continuing this post... lol, 5 PAGES! WOOT! ^.^ And I'm sure once I resume play, there will be plenty more to talk about. For right now just a big thank you for the posts and a reminder to all players,... keep 'em coming!

"At 6:00 a.m. this morning,...ZODIAC SPEAR! Oh yeah baby! I got it! HAHAHAHA I don't know and I doubt I'm the first to get it; but I am the first in this thread! ^____^ I'm so flipping happy! ATK +150! WOOT! This thing is a beast! >.< Freaking Awsome! LOL... I am so exicted... Well thats my big update and I'm also a rank Vi in the clan hall ^_^ And have obtained the "Bubble Belt/s"... I have pushed 60 hours of gameplay and have Vann almost lvl 50! evreyone else almost lvl 40 *cheezy grin*... Well Lynx thanks for posting the info, (I knew that stuff already, but other people may not have), So yes, yes lets keep going. I want to hear evreything about you guys, where are you at? How many hours? What lvls. etc. Also Tkhnoman,... I would just suggest do what I do, hold on to 1 of evrey piece of loot you find. I have 1 of each that way I don't sell evreything lol. Man... I'm almost done with the story line, I say I got about another 25 hours left of that and another 50 of side questing lol. The "Nechrol of Nabudis", this place is insane! So many high lvl monsters... also the home of the Zodiac Spear... I would suggest to fight inside be a minimum of lvl 60, I just held down R2 and fleed like a school girl to obtain the spear lol ^_^ "

"It seems as if a re-start is inorder for anyone who wants to get the game correct lol... Lynx your my homie and go ahead bask in your cookies muh friend lol...I'll get my mine. As far as the game goes I think a much reqiured break is in order, I have logged almost 60 hours! I'm drained lol, it's becoming a routine for me to play at night so I have gained a sleeping disorder lol, THANKS ALOT SQUARE-EINX! >.< lol, I can't blame them they only bring the entertainment, I abuse it. And you sound like your doing good Lynx, keep it up I on the other hand waisted ALOT! of LP, but I don't have to anymore seeing as how I got all 3 quickinings for each charecter. Lynx you also gain the "Demonsbane" sword for defeating the "optional" first Demon Wall. Thats a great sword that should last which ever charecter you equip it to up untill you reach "Archadies" I think it was atk. +65 or 69!
And yeah Tkhnoman... you may want to concider starting over and this time around focus on the charecters builds early so you don't have to later on... you need a strong party in-order to complete the game anyway. Just get the most License Points you can build up between lvl 1-15 and then get as many quickinings as possible for each charecter, that way your MP bars are full enough to dish out some good damage to the earlier bosses. Make a wepon class for each charecter and focus only on that group of wepons for each individual charecter, (make sure that you have atleast 2 ranged so you can use them for support). And try to save up your gil and then go on a spending spree when you have a full party... that way you can manage to get the best possible equipment for each charecter. It takes some time, to get a good grasp of the game play but once you understand what needs to be done and when it needs to, you shouldn't have to many problems. Besides if your in need of serious help just ask us! Were the FF experts lol. (p.s. Dont! sell ALL of your loot!)

"Omg! Bright2 PLEASE! just go pick up a copy... and join the hype lol, before I am motivated to kick you! lol ^.^
Lynx my man, no worries... I'm sure a true gamer as yourself can make up for lost time lol. And if you guys say so, but I have yet to find syphon on any airship! so I will continue looking... and yeah I'm already using "Self>MP 10%>Charge" it's good but I thought it gave a full re-charge not just like 10% lol ^.^ Oh well... Moving on, where is evreyone else located as far as gameplay? I am about 55 hours in and currently on my way to the Feywoods. Right now though I am destroying the Steppe outside of the Phon Coast and racking up loot and gil. Also so evreyone knows... Maxetal is correct if your not stealing people, START! Because it is the only way to gain some of the more usefull items. If anyone has questions please ask, it will find an answer. Again thank ya people for the posts, keep 'em coming.

"Hmmm, it seems you and me have alot in common, that actually makes me feel better knowing I'm taking my charecters in the right Direction. I have Vann=Sword/Shield> Basch=Axe/Shield> Ashe=Pole/2handed weps.>
Penelo=Crossbow> Balthier=Guns> Fran=Bows,... I love the quickinings lol, I wait untill my melees can't give anymore and my frontline casters are down. Then BAM! I unleash a 9-10 hit quickining, usually right around half or 1/4 the health of a boss. Then swap to reserves, and heal and focus in on the clean up. Usually can take a boss down easier than the marks lol. Some of these marks are intensce, and also for some reason I can't do the "Lost in the pudding" hunt,... The door to the "waterways" in "Lowtown" will not open. So for some reason I can't gain the "Sulctice gate key". But thats the off topic. I have Vann at lvl 43 and evreyone else at lvl 35, I currently have just finished Dr. Cid for the first time (and I found a very intresting fact about Dr. Cid and Balthier) hehehe, but I wont spoil that one. So I'm taking a short break to gain some much needed Gil for upgrades and also some lvling. I hope I come to lvl 50 with Vann and 40 with evreyone else before advancing in the story line. So yeah I also picked up "Bubble"! From the Clan Bazzar I love combining Bubble, with Regan, and Haste! LOL makes for an intresting time against some of the lesser foes. And combine those with Charge... oh yeah your set lol. I am looking for Syphon as well so if someone can relay to me the location of it, I'd appricate that one. "LOL, what did ya quit your job Lynx? ^_^ I'm kidding... anyways, I have moved up I now have a VI rank in the Clan, and am working out some very intresting things lol, I have Vann at almost lvl 40, and have the rest except Penelo (who's almost useless to me) at lvl 35. I am, trying to get the hidden Espers but geesh they couldn't make 'em any harder I swear lol, so much needs to be in-order to start the pathways to find them, I now have access to two of them, and they way out of my leauge, lol. So I will continue my training (so to speak) and push Vann up to lvl 50 along with the rest of 'em. I have all 6 charecters lvl3 Quickenings, and have made some good advances, I did gain that 50 battle chain btw. And have found some tough rare game along the way as well, afew have almost wiped me out! especially the one located at Mt. Bur-Omsaice... that guy I couldn't take =( If there is any help as to what the best spread for a charecter should be please advise me people, I would like to know what the best "layout" for a charecters build is that you have found works. Not to mention it's a good topic to start conversation, lol. Also I would like to point out, has anyone else noticed that in almost evrey FF you can make evrey charecter exactly the same? Just though I'd throw that one out there. And if someone could please tell me where to find "Self>30%" is I would love ya! That way I can use charge more effective. ^_^ And I forget now, but whoever posted that "Syphon" is located on the airships is sadly mistaking... I still haven't found that one, and I'd like it. "Geesh, what would I do,... well I suppose thatwould depend on the circumstances... if it was a nuke, well not much you can do lol, if it was a metor... or some event to which I had time till I was gone,... I would do a bunch of things... things I have always wanted but couldn't do, I would walk around and fight someone for no reason, Drugs, (lot's of 'em), figure I'm gonna die anyways why not lol, I would rob a bank!, lol, eat odd foods that I suppose I wouldn't I would steal a really nice car ^_^ I would ofcourse go and visit all of my loved ones before any of these events. I would just start shooting stuff at random, not people! but other things lol. I don't know how I would act... I would be the crazy guy laughing lol, right before the end. But like I said that would all depend on how fast it came to be. "

"Yes muh boy I sure do, and thus far I am on my way to the spear, I know where it's located and it takes some time to reach it but man o' man is it worth it ^_^ So you say a "pole" is a smart choice ay? Hmm I may have to check into that one. All I have been doing is using the small breaks before bosses to lvl up... and thats what I'm doing now, just grinding out some much need exp. and gaining some even more needed gil, I have completed the side quest for "Dantro" and am waiting on the "Gate key" to open a passage to an Esper, then I will defeat it, gain it, and move on to claim my 3rd one. ^_^ Also I am looking for rare game, and marks to take down,... I want to hopefully soon gain a 50 battle chain and get a new "Sky pirate" award! But for now just fighting. >.< Well thanks for the postos, lets keep 'em coming, and also if theres something you people need help with please feel free to ask! Thats what this is all about ^_^

"WOOT! Congratz to myself this has become another 3 page thread lol, my, my I'm impressed ^_^ my longest is still a 4 page though lol, so lets continue shall we. Thanks for all the updates and a BIG! thanks Maxetal for reminding me of where I saw "Syhon" last lol. To the airships I journy! lol, I am currently at Mt. Bur-Omsacie (I think thats how it's spelled...) anyways, and yes after I increased my lvls' and my MP the "Ryng Wyrm" was easy, so, so easy to defeat. ^_^ I am a rank 3 now in the Clan and working on grinding out new lvls' and gaining Gil for new gear. My next Esper is on the way along with a not so easy boss. I currently have Vann at lvl 32, and evreyone but Penelo at roughly lvl 27,... btw, the katanas are such a waste of time! They may look worth the money, but the lack of defence in return for a "possibility" of a combo, is no good. So I am sticking with what works best lol. Uh and thanks go out for the locations of that wonderful "bubble belt" which btw I suggest at least have one charecter (preferably a caster), equiped with, seeing as how it double the charecters health, not a bad choice. Also I have a set of "thief cuffs" and there nice but not what I thought they would live up to be. I also have a "shell shield" in my inventory ^_^ a handy little thing indeed, lacks the evade but makes up for it. And so your telling me in-order to get ahold of the "regan ring" just complete the "Seven sister quest"? I can do that lol ^_^ Oh! and a congrats go to the person who said they are fighting "Yaizmat"... Good Luck! lol. Also my dear Lynx... why the restart? you sounded like you were off to a good start?!? I wouldnt adivise begining again. It's such a long boring process watching the same cut-scences over and over again lol. But if you think you have to well it's "each to their own" I suppose. Well thanks so much for the comments guys and or gals,... please keep posting!

This may as well be your thread Lynx ^_^ thanks for the post and glad your ahead of the game, I just have had to much on my hands to be able to do that >.< So I appricate it muh friend. Btw, has anyone come to the "Ryng Worm" yet? LOL I may sound sort of weak, but I can't beat 'em ^_^ He's easy aside from that "Spore" move of his... my question pertains to "Sap" does anyone know what cures it aside from the "Hankercheif"? If so please tell me, also, aside from "Charge" is there any other way to regain your charecters MP? I know there is "Self>10%>Charge" and that other one, but I don't have the "Self 10% yet lol. "Alright my thread still has a pulse... lol I stopped posting because none of you wonderful people were. Anyways Lynx your right I owe you one don't I... ok today will be te day lol. I been out of the loop for a little while forgive me ^_^ but I'm back and were rolling. And as far as a "Self:30%" I have no idea if one of those even exist, hope so cause your right about that... it's a great move for "Charge" to the support charecters. And Shadekh that "Reverse-Decoy" sounds great! I can't wait to unleash that beast on some of the tougher foes. And yes I have seen Yiazmat, he is incredibly tough especially if you come that far without "Dispell" and really can't do high, high! damage. But thanks Lynx for keeping this going while I was away. ^_^ your list is on the way ok, thats my word. Well wonderful people I'm on a huge coffee buzz... and gotta go so I will return with a list of all Espers shortly ok! Thanks guys for the posts lets keep 'em coming!

What game that you wished you had never bought and why?

""Guild Wars", I had been on the search for a good MMO but only found another disapointment. Not that the graphics were'nt great! but because,... well it's a personal choice I suppose. I just don't like lol ( ^_^ ) maybe because I'm for the more up beat MMO's and this one is so repetitive with the quests. Also "WoW" I can't stand it! SUCH A WASTE OF MONEY! and to think I have 3 months pre-paid for... if anyone wants to buy a WoW acct. just message me, and we can work out like a money order or pay-pal in anycase I just can't seem to find a good MMO so I have resorted back to my roots with RPG's instead and picked up FFXII (AWSOME! GAME!). I suppose I will just have to wait for Diablo i to hit the shelfs. :P

"Well up to this point I disagree as well Lynx, the voice hasn't been a problem for me either, go back to when Vain addresses the people of Rabinaster for example... when the camera pans far back his voice does along with it, same for when the camera focuses back on him... his voice is as loud as it should be ^_^ ( I can't belive I'm debaiting on voices lol). But yeah I'm with AnimePaul on this one buddy ^_^ nothing to complain about here,... now come back to my thread and argue about this stuff! lol :P

"Nope none of the original summons that we all know and love exist anymore, they've all been replaced... expect for Ultima ^_^ she still lives on. Ok so currently I am up to 10 hours of gameplay (moving incredibly slow mind you), and have 5 Quickinings! I'm sorta happy about that one. Has anyone by chance faced a "Rare Game" Cockatrice? that little bugger is difficult! I hit him with Inferno and he stood like a champ lol, (thats all besides the point). I wonder though if anyone can reveal to me the location of the "Broken Sands" in the Dalmascian Eastersands... if so I would be thankfull... I need to know in-order to complete the side-quest I'm on. Ummm Ironlynx, just so you know there are a total of 13 Espers to be had in this game, 7 of wich are hidden through "Rare Game" hunts and side-quests. Like I said when I get around to doing so I will be posting a list of locations shortly for you all ok. The only things I want locations of... are as previously posted:
1.)Bubble Belt
2.)Theif Cuffs
3.)Diamond Armlet
4.)Foe:Flying (gambit)
5.)Dispell (Magick)
6.)The Entire Genji Armor set! ^__^ I want the gloves from it

"Alright, so I figured I knew what I was doing as far as the Quickining went ^_^ I now just need to make a bigger chain,... Umm and as far as the "verdict" on the Espers being a one time thing... I'm pretty sure you can return to find them (if you have missed them that is), reason being I think so... their apart of the L.B. you can't really miss anything on the L.B. Besides alot of the side-quests you have to complete to find them are long strung together quests, such as the "Hunt" for the "Flowering Cactoid" turns into a side-quest that you didn't have a time limit on or anything, so I know you can come back to that one. Maybe just some of the harder Espers to gather like "Chaos" and those kinds are un-repeatable because of there locations. I will post a list of the Espers shortly if noone else does first lol.
