The subbers are probably waiting for the DVD version to come out so they can release a fine quality video, other then subbing the screener. Still can't wait though.

"In itself, Moribito is a beautiful anime that tells a very good story. However, I wonder how much of a draw it will get on AS because it moves at a very slow pace. I hope those that started to watch it stick with through the end. It is worth it."

"I guess it depends on the series. I don't appreciate when a series just cuts off, like Inuyasha. For instance, I watch Tsubasa Chronicle this week, and fumed about the open ending. Then I watch the OVA, and felt a little better about the series, so much so that I will probably continue with the manga."

"I'm enjoying this one so far. And it's from the same studio that brought out Kamichu and Baccano. I loved each of those series, so I imagine this will also have that quirky sense of humor which I find amusing. Series' like this one are just refreshing."

"I'm tired of the drama and the sex in every other chapter. Originally this series had a plot, but over the last three or four books, it has completely disappeared. Now it's just filled with smut. Mind you, I enjoy the occasional tryst, but it doesn't need to be the complete focus of the characters' actions.

Richard's whining? Here let me get on my knees. Nathaniel's feeling left out? Here let me get on my back. And so on, and so forth.

Still I'm looking forward to the next book with the focus on Jason, however, if it's the same old stuff like The Harlequin and Danse Macabre, I may not be able to stick with the Anita books for much longer. "

I've actually been an on and off soap fan for years xD; I admit, some are incredibly cheesy and unrealistic, but some out there are actually pretty good. I don't think the actors are all that bad (yes, some of them should have never been hired), it's just the scripts are sometimes overtly dramatic, the actor is forced to act that way. But, it's mostly the romance and the awesomely cheesy stories that keeps me coming back every week.

I'm the same way. I'll stop watching one for two years, and within two weeks of watching, I'm pretty much up to speed on what I've missed. Thank goodness for recycled storylines.

They're just a nice mindless escape. I don't need all of my TV shows making me think. Kinda defeats the purpose of the TV."

"I think the story-telling on this one is deliberate, that they give just enough to make you watch the next episode. I'd say it will pick up towards the end. I do enjoy it though (makes me feel like I'm back in psych class), and I've watched far enough now that I'll stick with it until the end."

"I prefer the latter if there is a chance of more to come, i.e. Full Metal Panic & Black Lagoon. But if it's just the random 12 to 24-ep series that has no novel or manga backup, then I'll just be happy with satisfaction."

"Well, I know a lot of the youngsters may not believe it, but my mom is my best friend. Things were rough between us when I was a teen, and Lord knows I was the cause of the most of it. But when I was 18, her and I had a knock-down, drag-out that lasted about three hours, and we've been fine ever since. I wouldn't trade her for the world, and when I need someone's opinion, she's the first person I call."

"Honestly I would take either type of ending as long as the ending is good and complete. Nothing frustrates me more than to watch a 100+ episode series only to have it "cut-off" in the process of tracking down the bad guy with no hope of a continuation of the anime. (Not naming any names here...)"

Which do you like, watching old classic or new anime?

"I'm not too picky either way. Some stories are just classic, so as long as it has that going for it, I can tolerate ancient animation. Though some of the newer animes rely too heavily on CG animation for my taste, and sometimes that just gets in the way of story-telling."

Genres you generally stay away from

"Well, I don't watch yaoi, but I read it. I don't care for the "harem" animes, but I have to watch them because my husband enjoys them. (Though if you ask him about it, he just laughs.) I also don't care for the animes based on videogames. Like the example above, I watched Tsukihime and Fate/Stay Night, and I guess it's such a narrow genre that I just found myself not really caring about what was going on."
