"Man! Chrno Crusade had a very very sad ending but the anime as a whole stayed away from that. Air was just crippling, when she says "Goal!" and then falls down I pretty much had to pause the show to go wash my face >.<. Grave of the Fireflies is so very sad even more so cause it's loosely based on a true story, and then Honey & Clover the second season. The ending on the train was really sad but the life lesson there kind of made up for it. I'm trying to recall more but I htink I've seen so many that I just can't remember them all at this point. ... Ooo Xenosaga when you think Kos-Mos is gone that was sort of sad. "

Anyone here has stopped watching Bleach or Naruto?

"Ya I totally understand this train of thought. I quite watching bleach after the end of the first story arc (after they fought through Soul Society). I thought the anime could have ended there with the rescuing of Rukia but no they started a second and I think a third? Story arc. I love the standard 26 ep animes the most. I remember watching Uninhabited Planet Survive! which was around 52 eps and it was really good but after watching for so long it just gets really hard to wanna keep watching. I just hope that some of the animes getting ready to come out and that I am eager to watch won't follow this trend of long winded, money making shows. "

"The raws for the second season are going to be hard to come by for a few weeks give it some time and the sub teams will start getting there hands on them. Until then check out the movie. I watched it earlier today and was pretty happy with it over all."

"I'm not sure about the best action anime of the season but I will admit that it is good. To bad the sub teams aren't working on it in overtime though. The premise is sound but I'm just not sure where the Creaters are going with it. There's alot of possibilities that haven't even been touched on yet so I'm eager to see what happens next."

"I've seen it. It probably wasn't as terrible as I remember but I'm pretty sure I didn't enjoy it that much. Don't get me wrong her gun sequences were some of the most interesting looking ones in an anime that I've seen in awhile. But the blatant fan service and less than amazing story line and music just made this one an overall flop imho."

"That seems to be a concept that I could enjoy. The artwork looks really nice I just hope the music and story line can hold up. Lately beautiful looking anime have been introduced but with a lacking story line and terrible music I just can't get into them."

"As much as I enjoyed this anime I must admit that It really wasn't that great of an anime. It was alot of fan service with a moderate story line. The music wasn't anything special and the characters were fairly generic. If you haven't seen it you might want to pass this one by. If you have I think you'll agree that this one wasn't a top 10 anime"

"Well the conceptions of the anime are very very out there. It's hard to start relating to the thought that we couldn't distinguish our humanity easily. If the human race can advance itself that far then I can totally see the prospect of a normal human living with prostetic limbs, however i can't really think that we would see a full cyborg like the Major. Either way you look at it none of us will be around when that happens anyway so try not to dwell on it to much :)"

"I'm absolutely loving this anime. Is down to earth but at the same time in a realm I don't really understand. I think that all the J-Pop and himes out there in Japan can really relate. I can't wait to see more and I've seen all the eps out till now. I think it's going to turn into a great hit in late 2005 early 2006. Also I love the music. Intro is awesome and already being a big Franz Ferdinad fan the ending is just plain sweet."

"I have watched a few in my time. First I would like to say there are alot of narrow minded responses on this thread. Most likely these are coming from american members. You have to remember that the Japanese populace has been around for along time. Thus they have a much more open minded view about sex. Heck if you look into their culture in general sex is an everyday thing unlike here int he states where you can get in trouble by the dang FCC for just showing a woman in her underwear on primetime tv. Censorship is huge here in the states where in Japan you can put just abou anything on tv as long as certain parts (mainly genital areas) are blurred out.

Now with that being said I do admitt that most of the crude out there in the "hentai" section is crap that's poorly made and only apeals to the very low standard audiance. There are however quite a few true "hentai" releases that are worth watching for their art, story and over all presentaion. And as one member mentioned earlier alot of the anime you watch today is based off of "H-games" or Hentai Games. The only difference is that the sex is taken out.

Open your minds peeps. Realize between reality and non-reality and learn to accept other cultures before bashing on what they enjoy. Trust me a LARGE number of Japanese enjoy Hentai, Male and Female. Just don't judge untill you know stuff from all the perspectives."

I don't normally buy stuff off the web either so I think that unless I can find them in some back water anime store then I'm not really going to get into the card collecting."

"Well I was watching Groove Adventure Rave awhile ago when I could find the fan subs, but now I refuse to watch it on Cartoon Network. The Dubbing is absolutely Horrible and they changed the intro theme to some amerianized BS..... I managed to watch GAR up untill ep 50 or so before the fan subs dropped off. If you can find it subbed or you buy the dvds then I think anyone could get into it but if all you can do is watch it on CN I think you're better off pushing a pencil up your nose."

"I think the thing that draws me most often to an anime is the music. Next is the story line. Now I will admitt at this point that if an anime has great music and a sound story line then I really don't mind if the animation is poor or if the character development is laking. IF those two things are present then I will watch an anime to its completion no matter how bad some people say it really is."

"Well I thought that the ending was perfect. I won't say what happens as not to give spoilers but I thought the ending was one of the better parts of the entire series. Also, the reason that he made the two follow up movies many years later was because of the large amounts of complaints and death threats he recieved from outraged fans that didn't really like the way he ened the series. If you saw the movies you know what I mean when I say that he got back at all the assholes who told him to die in the first place :)"

"Ya I was sadly, sadly, sadly, sadly dissapointed in FFU. Though I guess I can't complain to much considering that I didn't pay a dime for this series but instead downloaded the fan subs. I thought that it had redeeming qualities in the begining but that theory was quickly shot down after the 3rd episode. The best part of the entire anime wasn't the story or the music, wasn't the art or characters instead my favorite part was the Chocobo and that was only untill he turned into that crazy super chocobo and that just ended all hope for that anime in my eyes. If you haven't seen this one yet....DON'T Save your time and go watch Final Fantasy Advent Children again."

I know that puzzles play a large role in the game and that the fighting against the collosi is quite amazing but would you say that it's strictly a puzzle game with a few adventuresque tendencies thrown in or a RPG with a whole lot of puzzles?"

"I don't think that Evangelion is bad for younger viewers however I alost think that most children (14 and under) might not totally understand the plots going on behind the main scenes. I saw NGE when I was 15 and I was still at a bit of a loss as to what the total picture was. But after watching it again(many times) I finally think I get it as a whole series and love it even more because of they way that they went about doing things. So I think it's fine to let kids watch NGE but I don't think that many of them would understand it very well at a younger age."
