After months of work, chanelqueen17 has created a gorgeous scene of Alice and Oz from Pandora Hearts, using scans that didn't even feature both characters together. Even after spending so much time on matching the details of the characters to their new looks, chanelqueen17 didn't stop there and went all out on the background too! This wallpaper definitely needs to be seen!

Blade & Soul

"Although there no news as to when the official release date will be (and obviously it's coming out in Korea first) or how the gameplay is, but I've seen the official trailer and screenshots. So far, it looks really impressive and character designed by the awesome Hyung Tae Kim as well. =D It's done by the same people that did Lineage II and uses Unreal Engine 3.If they do bring it internationally here to the Americas, and even if it might be p2p (just hope it won't be so pricey), I think I might be willing to play. I'm such a Hyung Tae Kim fan, so I'm willing to support it."

Chrono Trigger DS

"Yeah, I can't wait for it either. Chrono Trigger is one of my top fave RPGs of all time. I've never played it on SNES originally ('cuz I never had one when I was a kid), so I've played it on "other ways" (if you know what I mean), but I still loved it.Even if it is a port, and they are adding just a few extras (such as a new dungeon and such), I'm still willing to get it. ^_^"

Console or PC?
1 year 3 months ago
"I prefer either, it just depends on the game. Most of the PC games that I play are mostly MMORPGs (such as Ragnarok Online) and sometimes I get bored of them easily (especially when I get to those grinding levels).
There are a LOT of console games that are (and have) coming out (I'm anticipating 3 more RPGS for the Xbox360), so I've been sticking to consoles lately.
PC gaming also depends on how good your computer is and if it can handle the game. "

Mario Kart Wii!!

"Finally got the game today...And yeah, it is a really good; it's got everything you pretty much expect from a Mario Kart game. The wheel definitely makes things easier; I really like it a lot. I also like the bike racing, with the use of tricks and wheelies; it's fun.
And omg, Baby Peach is soo cute!

"When I'm just starting to play a new game for the first time, yeah, I can get addicted to it for like days. Then it starts to dwindle a bit until I don't feel like playing it anymore. The only online game nowadays that I still continue to play (but for like a few days a week) is Ragnarok Online, and that's 'cuz I have friends (and my hubby) who plays; not to mention that I have a lot of expensive items and characters as well."

So I keep getting called a pervert
1 year 6 months ago
"Lol, I call that to my hubby and some of my male friends most of the time, but only as a joke. I don't really mind what they watch or what merchandise they got, since I've watched several ecchi and hentai myself (not only that, but a majority of the posters in me and my hubby's room are mostly female characters, some are unknown CGs possibly from hentai games). I'm guessing those who have called you a perv are truly misinformed about anime and just go on assuming things. And the funny thing is that a majority of anime consists of female characters. But yeah, you're a guy, and I guess it's natural that these things happen. They'll get over it somehow. Just continue to not minding their reactions.

Anime fans 18+, do you hang out with other Otaku?
1 year 6 months ago
"My college has an anime club, and our president is like 30, I believe. Some of the faculty in school (who are also part of the club) watch anime as well, since some of them teach video and animation. But yeah, I've met a lot of people since high school, some about the same age or younger than me, who are into anime. Most have started getting into it though, and only a few know the classics like I do.
Most of the people that I've met who are into anime usually enjoy playing video games, since a majority of the video games are from Japan. Others I met because they were artists. One of my friends (who I hadn't talked to in a LONG time), I met in high school 'cuz I saw one of her fan comic of Sailor Moon, and she was really good. She inspired me to start drawing. Another friend, I met on a bus stop going to college (and we were going to the same school coincidently as well), 'cuz she saw me reading the Trinity Blood manga.
I think a lot of the younger group age for anime are more huge than the older group is 'cuz anime has become really big, compared to back then. Not saying that anime was unheard of back then; it was there, but it was a small collection. I remember when anime in video stores and manga in book stores were just a shelf, now it's like a whole wall of them. O_O"

How does you family feel about Anime?
1 year 6 months ago
"Quite a bit of my family watch anime (though not to the extreme as me, my hubby, and a few of my friends). My brother has watched several, my mom watched some with me (like the Studio Ghibli ones), and my dad thinks they're for kids. "View

"Ah, better. ^^I guess both versions are good. The one with the lines though, doesn't look too good in front of her. I suggest moving the image up front. The lines again distract my eyes away from the image, so another suggestion would probably be lowering the opacity of the lines.
But other than that, again, definitely better than before. ^_^"

Electronica, Dance, and Trance
1 year 6 months ago
"I listen to a lot of dance & trance, more so than the mainstream music nowadays. The artists are very various, from well known (such as Cascada) to little known, depending on where I've heard it from. Here in Chicago, we have our own dance station (called Dance Factory), and that's mostly where I get my collection from. Other places are from anime music videos that uses trance/dance music (such as this year's video of the year, Magic Pad, which uses the trance song Arise (Hammer & Funabashi Remix))."View

"Nice extraction, but...The background does seem to takeover more than the character, since the image itself is small; the darks colors and the tech lines catches my eyes more than the image. I don't think the tech effects fit well for her either.
Don't get me wrong though, the background does look really nice, but either use another character or change the background fitting for her. *nods*"

What Makes You Buy and Play a Video Game?
1 year 6 months ago
"What makes me buy and play videogames are mostly from trailers I've seen. If I see the graphics and the premise is really drool-worthy, then it's mostly possible I'll buy. It depends on the type of genre of the game as well, since I mostly play RPGs, action-adventures, and fighting games. I'm also a sucker for limited & collector's editions (especially if it includes artbooks and accessories), 'cuz I feel that it's a must-have.If it's also a continuation of a certain series, then I'll also buy/play them as well. Renji wallpaper
1 year 7 months ago
"An okay start...but...The image quality of Renji really isn't that great; the colors are kind of dull and the overall quality itself is somewhat grainy and blurry.
Composition-wise, the light red rectangular border that surrounds him isn't good since it cuts off his arm and the top of his head. Unless the original image was like that, it's still a no-no. The white glow/border that surround the image isn't too good either. It probably might be better if you make the white border thinner (like to a pixel or 2) and softer, or remove it completely. And some of the extractions isn't clean either.
The background does look pretty cool so far; perhaps you can try to work on it more, but I think it's good the way it is. The symbols though, looked like they're just placed/smacked onto the background. Find a way to fix it a bit, so it doesn't distract away from the main image (which is Renji), like maybe put in the middle or something.
Overall, yeah, your wall does need work. If you're unsure whether your work is accepted onto the gallery or not, post it here in Session Zero first.
Hope that helps. ^_^"

OKami for the Wii:
1 year 7 months ago
"I got it for the Wii...And it really isn't all that bad. The controls can be a little weird to use at first (since Wii is totally different than a PS2), but if you have & played Twilight Princess, then you should be fine. And yeah, the motion sensing controls can be pretty bad; I have a the hardest time pulling off the "Slash" and the combos for the reflector shield (I don't know about the whip or the swords, since I hadn't gotten that far yet). But I think I might have gotten used to it; it requires a lot of precision and timing (so you can't just randomly shake the Wii-mote for combos).
I do prefer the PS2 version over the Wii, in terms of controls, but the Wii version still looks nice. Graphics are still beautiful as ever (it probably would look better if I had a better quality TV) and the loading/saving is definitely faster.
But that's mostly up to you.
...And as for the IGN watermark, I hadn't noticed it until my hubby mentioned it to me, that he had heard about it. I went to take a look at it, & yup, it's there. XD
Fortunately, I still kept my PS2 version. ^_^"

Sakura Vector (Needing Critique)

"So... pink......But this is Sakura after all. Anyway, the vector is looking really good thus far. I have to agree on some of the previous commenter; the lineart is a bit think. As for the shading, maybe add more to the clothing folds. I think what would also make it look really nice, is add vector patterns within the kimono , but that's just my suggestion.
Still, nice job! =D"

Moving Out
1 year 7 months ago
"Well, don't think this applies to me anymore......since I'm already out of my parents house. BUT... me and my hubby are currently living with my mother-in-law at the moment, that is until we both graduate from college, and I get a good job (and in my hubby's case, a great investment in stock options). After that, she'll be moving out to Florida. Funny is though, we live like 6 blocks away from my parents, lol. Seriously though, I do love my parents very much; it was scary and weird when I first moved in with my hubby and in-law.
If I ever had a chance to move somewhere though, definitely towards Japan. I mean, with what I want to do in life (and that is to be a game/character designer), there's more opportunities there (that is hoping I'm willingly accepted into the industry). That, and well, if my parents decide to move back the Philippines, I'm close to them. =D"

Looks or personality?
1 year 7 months ago
"I kinda agree to Triste to some extent...I mean, usually our first instinct to go with is how good looking a person is. I mean, doesn't crushes usually start that way?
I think the pretty looks = bad personality & ugly looks = good personality is too much of a stereotype; so I don't think it's necessarily true anymore. I had crushes on a lot of good looking guys back then; I got to know them better and most of them were pretty cool to know. I never dated them, but I became good buddies with them for awhile.
But yeah, just like the majority, I'm more towards the personality of a person. What's the point if we have absolutely nothing in common to talk about? BUT, good looks is on a plus side as well.
My hubby can be such a dork and nerdy at times, to the point that I'd totally be embarrassed being with him. He may not have a body shaped like Jin Kazama from Tekken or Dante from Devil May Cry 3, but he's still pretty good looking. We have quite a bit of stuff in common, and we play online and console games together. All in all, I love the guy no matter what. XD"

My first wallpaper ever - Negima

"Hmm, I kinda like the overall idea of it so far, but definitely get rid of the grid on the picture; it really distracts the picture.Maybe try to find a higher resolution of the picture, so it won't be so cut off on the left side. Or cut off the swirly white part on the picture as well, so it won't also blend in or distract it as well.
You're off on an alright start, but hey, you got to start somewhere. ^^
Hope that helped a bit."

Which Career Path would you Follow?
1 year 7 months ago
"Hmm, not necessarily true...I mean, I'm not making much money in my current job. It's a little higher than the usual starting pay here in Chicago, but I only work every other weekend (or whenever I'm needed); I'm working as a part-timer, and some of my money is taken away from taxes and health insurance, and even more taken away for half of the rental payments (which includes utilities & phone bill) and credit card bills. But I'm still going to an expensive school. Thank goodness for financial aid.
When I was still staying with my parents (I'm currently living with my hubby and my mother-in-law), they weren't making much either, compared to others who have actual careers, but they did their best to push me and my brother to go to school and finish it. And they supported whole-heartedly in making our dreams come true, just as long we finish school and get our career going, so we don't end up like them. "

Devil May Cry 4
1 year 7 months ago
"I've heard of the very first DMC when I was back in high school (I remember a classmate of mine showing me a picture of Dante and asking me to draw a design similar to him), though I've never played it. Then one day, one of my best buddies bought DMC3...and I got hooked (okay I originally loved it for the sole reason that I became a Dante fangirl, but I also loved it for the fast-paced action). When I heard that the voice/motion cap actor was returning for DMC4 and also the fact that Johnny Yong Bosch was doing the voice/motion cap for a new character, I knew that I just had to get the game. I bought the collector's edition (I know, I know...but I'm always a sucker for special/collector's edition games).
I don't think it's bad. The graphics were awesome, especially the movies/motion captures; they ran really smoothly and the voice acting were done really well (yay for Mary McGlynn as the voice director.) The music was still awesome, since they're similar to the 3rd game, including the same singer (Shawn McPherson) that did Dante's theme. The gameplay overall, I thought was good. I had fun playing as Nero; I had an easier time pulling off air combos (but then again, Nero was created for newer players to the series, while Dante was for the veterans.) The new weapons were pretty cool (love Pandora, and Lucifer along with Dante's cutscene was just hilarious).
Sure, the downside was repetitive bosses, lots of backtracking, Dante's styles hadn't changed much from DMC3, and Lady not having any action time (which sucked 'cuz Lady's awesome), but I still found it fun to play. Sure we didn't get to know much about Nero, except for the possibility that he's connected to Dante, Vergil, & Sparda somehow, so I don't think he was just thrown into the story.
I think this change of pace was needed, since we all already know about Dante's basic story. We saw the prequel (DMC 3) on how he got his Devil Trigger and get to completely see Vergil before he became brainwashed, and the story continued onward to DMC 1. We can't count DMC 2, since we all know was crap (that, and it's being pushed to be set in the far future). I mean, what new story about Dante can be created, other than the fact he's a full on demon hunter? The series will end up just like the anime.
I will forever love Dante, but I also like Nero as well; since Vergil's gone (I'm not sure if he's dead or just his status is unkown), having Nero in the story keeps Vergil's presence to continue in the series. I can't wait for the next DMC game; hopefully they'll reveal more of Nero's backstory (if they do decide to keep him.) "

Which Career Path would you Follow?

"I'm definitely more on the side of going for my dream job.I'm currently going to school for Game Design; we don't do programming, but more of the art and concept aspect of it. I'd like to be a character designer (and maybe make my way to be an art director, lol). I mean, it may do well, it may not; it depends on how well a game sells. I might have to work, like, 13 hour shifts, trying to make it to deadlines...but I do know that this is what I want to do, and I feel like this is the only way I can contribute to the world.
Originally, when I was younger, I wanted to be a nurse (typical for any Filipina), then a teacher (which both my parents were a long time ago back in the Philippines), then into computer science (or anything that deals with computers.) In high school, I started to get into anime, and I met a good friend who inspired me to get into drawing. It was at first a hobby, but then I started to get seriously into it. That's when I thought I could get into animation (or anything that deals with it.)
I didn't get accepted into the art program on the first college I went to (I was put into the general/liberal arts/undecided category). I was pretty discouraged, so my parents suggested that since I'm kinda good in math, I could get into accounting/business. So I took that in another college...which didn't do so well (Gawd, my brain was frying from all those number crunching... >_<)
A bunch of things happened after that...then I saw a TV ad for a school here in Chicago. They were offering Game Design (and since I'm a video gaming junkie, and a rare female gaming junkie at that ^_~), I joined the school. Highly expensive, yes (even though I get so much financial aid, I still end up taking loans), but I think it's worth it. Awesome teachers (who actually do have experiences in the fields), awesome classmates, small classes...what more can I ask for? "

How did you and why do you stay?
1 year 7 months ago
"I think the first anime I've every watched (not realizing that they were anime back then) were Dragonball and Tekkaman Blade (dubbed Teknoman). And then Ronin Warriors (Yoroiden Samurai Troopers) and Sailor Moon came out, and then they showed several anime (like Project A-ko, Tenchi Muyo In Love, etc.) on the Sci-Fi channel back then, and I got hooked. As to why I stuck with anime and continued to liked it was well, I guess because they are highly more detailed and seemed more of an almost realistic design compared to American made cartoons (especially nowadays). And the stories they have are definitely more in depth and up to a certain intelligence, that makes viewers connect to it and make them think. Sure there are anime that are really really weird and makes absolutely no sense whatsoever, but the majority are story heavy.
I have to say though, it has been difficult for me to get into the modern anime nowadays (I guess you can say I'm more of an old schooler). So I'm very picky; I guess it just depends on the type of anime. I like fantasy, action & dark-themed anime; there's so much high school/realistic anime nowadays, though there are a few exceptions."
