"Wait, Misuzu has a bf??! How the heck are you getting these volumes??I just finished reading all of volume 17 and it's starting to wrap up like I thought it would. At first, I was an Aya fan then I started to root for Satsuki. But she started to get more and more whorish so that really turned me off. Afterwards, there was a lot of character development between Nishino and Junpei so that definitely made me go for Nishino to the end. While Aya is awesome and all that, Nishino just seems to overpower her. Nishino just seems to be an overall better companion than Aya could hope to be. Aya definitely has the feelings and the raw emotion but her exterior just kinda shells it all up, not to mention it will stay that way for a good while. Nishino on the other hand is extremely honest with her feelings (more or less) and knows how to push a guy's buttons.
In volume 17, I was just staring at the screen when Nishino started to get all cute and lovey dovey. All the while I'm thinking, why the heck can't I get a girl like that? Yes, I'm a sad, sad man. :)"

"I agree. I used to think war was the only way to make it happen but it seems that every number of years there's a pandemic that spreads around and does the job. I think it's that time?
I'm not exactly sure of the number of years, but by then, the half life of protons and neutrons will have been past and all matter will fail to exist. The only way for beings to live in that time will be to find a way to house their non-physical selves. Sounds kinda freaky."

"It's the thought that counts, ultimately. If you run after seeing a jar full of them, that's kinda mean. =/dhias, they keep their shape cause every knot I make, I tighten the ribbons HARD. That way, it becomes very stiff and when I bend them into hearts, they retain that shape. Btw, my sewing skills kinda suck."

I forgot that you can make stars out of straw. I'll have to remember that next time I go to a fast food restaurant. Or actually, I could use this straw in my cup! It'll be a bit sticky though. =/

"If you think your situation is bad (which it is, don't get me wrong) then you should take a look at my friend. He lives here in America while his girlfriend is all the way in Japan. The only way they can communicate is through the Internet. I think the next time he's able to see her is Christmas. And I think she's saving up money just to go to America. All in all, it's a very bad situation. =/I told him that they will inevitably end up together. What's a few years? This should give him the motivation to finish school quickly so he can go back to Japan.

"Those stars take a hella long time to make so giving a person a jar full of them has to mean something. At the very least, you mean something special to that perosn. Special enough to make an entire jar full of them stars.Personally, I spend the time to make braided ribbon hearts. Those take about 4 hours to make one. I usually make two to link them together. If you don't know what I'm talking about, I'll be glad to provide pictures. It's braided like those... "lanyards." Kinda like the ones you make for arts & crafts."

"Word to the wise. Do NOT make anime your learning source, unless you're well aware that there are tons of speech idiosyncracies (dattebayo, nya, nyo, etc), even more nuances than you can shake a stick at, and rather weird tone of voice used. I, nor anybody else I know, can even begin to imagine how to start explaining sentences taken from any given anime. Sure the sentence might be simple, but the chance of a sentence loaded with hidden messages appearing is still there. As for the tone of voice, well, most of the time anime is a work of fiction and takes place you wouldn't normally find in life. For example, saying "ryoukai shimashita" (Roger; Understood) would get you some weird looks. No really. It will.What's more, if you ever do indeed come across a Japanese person (that's why you're learning Japanese, right?) you need to know how to speak correctly to them. Have a good time trying to find anime that teaches you that.
That's why anime is not such a good idea if you're teaching yourself."

"Heck, I'm jealous of all of you. I wish I could be great at cooking. I'm only average to above average when it comes to cooking. I actually took a Culinary Arts class back in high school. It only helped me learn how to follow recipes [/sarcasm]Still, people think my cooking is good and that's fine and all. I still would like to be an extraordinary cook though. After all, my dad is a chef. I learned cooking techniques from him without him teaching me. It just came from years and years of watching him. But I suppose this doesn't really count as true talent. Again, something I do and I wish I was extraordinary at, but only average. =/
When it comes to sports, I'm horrible. I have very low stamina and my body can't seem to get cuts even though I go to the gym on a regular basis.
Video games, I would call myself mediocre. I mostly concentrate on fighting games and I always seem to plateau and can never seem to get better no matter how much I practice. Makes me sad really. Especially since I place a big emphasis on fighting games. It's one of the few things I put a great amount of time into.
So I suppose I really only have ONE true talent. Linguistics. It's a good thing I like it. Laziness really likes to get in the way though."

"You don't know cocky until you've talked to me. JKI think the only area where I truly shine is language studies. I think with enough motivation, I can probably master a language in a relatively short amount of time. Something about langauges that just makes sense to me.
I also do well in dance. I received very little training in dancing (swing and shag) but somehow I have natural rhythem.
When it comes to academics, I'm above average at best. Most of it comes from book smarts and my ability to learn things rather quickly. However, that also depends on my ability for making things click. I mean, I'm alright when it comes to mathematics, science, and computer science, but I don't excel at them. I'm just GOOD at them. =/
Everybody has their own aptitude. Too bad there aren't too many tests that tell you what it is you're good at. Not like you really need one to tell you what you're good at. Another thing is that, what if you're good at something but you don't necessarily enjoy it?"

"I was speaking in a general sense. Not directed torwards anyone in particular. ^_^ Most people often call others racist with the idea that they are indeed racist when they aren't.
More than anything, one should educate the self before going off and spreading the hate. Of course, not saying you can't hate. Just don't spread it like a cold.
What jebelbryan said is brilliant. It's true that stereotypes are the cookie cutters but what's truly inside these shapes can be a variety of ingredients.
I've heard another theory where stereotypes are necessary in order for us to paint some sort of a picture of the world. If this really is the case, then it's unfortunate that it has to snare racial stereotypes as well."

"What never ceases to amaze me is the sheer amount of ignorance in posts that got lots of hate for whatever the topic at hand is. Listen, if you're going to make jabs at anything, be sure to do some research. That's why I never talk crap about other music genres. I just don't know anything about them. Be sure to do some homework~The reason why I like Ludacris is because he's extremely versatile IMO. If you think he's bad, I agree to a certain degree. His later stuff has been following cookie cutter patterns and it's just not fresh anymore. Back when he first debuted "What's Your Fantasy" it was fresh. Then I got his first 2 albums and they were great. Lots of different styles on each and every track. That's why he got my respect. But like I said, lately he's been falling off a great deal.
I got the Full Circle album and it really wasn't my thing. =/ Just wasn't feeling most of the songs.
ilan, you're an idiot. Please do some homework before even attempting to bash. Though you do make one interesting point which I actually do agree with. Hip hop fashion is getting out of hand. I'm not sure what it is. Are they trying hard to set themselves apart from other people? A lot of the fashion doesn't make sense. Why wear overly baggy pants that are sagging? I've heard stories that the style originated from jail where there are no belts, so the pants are worn like that. However, these people aren't in jail. They can afford to get a belt. I tried it once (I forgot my belt one day) and it was very uncomfortable. I had to constantly pull up my pants and it was a horrible day. I was more concerned with pulling my pants up than concentrating on other things. Also, I noticed a lot of kids not putting in their laces. This style might be a bit dated, but I do remember a day when it was huge. Again, this probably comes from inmates who had no laces. And once again, all shoes come with laces. It's not comfortable to walk around with your shoes ready to fall off anytime. Or is it??
