triPod wallpaper, please help with ideas

"Ok, I guess you guys do like it, but I think I'll try to tone it down justa tad so Vash's sillouette shows a little more, and I actually like the stars idea, maybe I'll try to overlay a starfield, and see if that doesn't make it too busy...
And as for the tripod thing, yea, I thought about that, but it wouldn't hold any relevance to trigun or ipod, it'd just be a random pun off of the name, so sorry but think I'll leave that one out. But thanks again for the feedback, I think I know what I wanna do now to finish it. Hopefully I'll be able to wrap it up tonight after I get off work. I appreciate the support guys."

"Ok, I know that anime iPod wallpapers have been done too many times, but I really wanted to give it a try just for the heck of it, so I could use some ideas for what to do with the background to make it more interesting.

I have a few ideas of my own, but I'd like to hear suggestions from other people too, so please voice your opinion.
Also, I was wondering if anyone thinks I should do more with the ipod itself. I thought it would be kinda cool to have the headset coming out of Vash's coat, but I also realize that that covers up the actual ipod, which would somewhat contradict the whole wallpaper, so I was wondering if anyone thinks I should put the rest of the ipod in as well.

"Ok, I took a stab in the dark and tried to answer my own questions. I read you're post silence, but in the process of looking for a decent regular font I came across this one and thought it looked rather cool and fitting, so I gave it a try. I also did my best to take the green out of the flames, but theres one or two spots that just don't want to change color unless I erase them, and then it wouldn't look good enough, so I'll just leave those be. I think I blended the lava into the background better, unless antabakai was talking about the rocks sticking out of the lava...

I realize you think there's no need for text, but I'd like to have it, so what would your suggestion be on some text that would fit the wallpaper better? By fade the rocks, do you mean make the ground darker in the back area (I'm sure you do, but I'm asking just the same). I thought I got the green out of the picture...do you by chance mean some of the bright flame spots? I continue to appreciate the feedback."

"Not at all, this is quite helpful. I'll work on the Naruto one later (its actually quite old, and I may end up forgetting about it, but I'll proabably try working with it later)
I'm diggin your idea of rocks and mountains in the background. I'll try that out, its a splendid idea. I think I will keep the text, but I'll see if I can't make it fit the theme a little more. I'll ditch the border though. Thanks for the input.

:EDIT: I added mountains in the background, and a few rocks in the forground. I also changed the text and got rid of the border. I'm thinking that perhaps I should add a few more rocks so the three added don't look quite so out of place, but I'll let you guys decide whether you think thats necessary.

"Yeah, it kind of varies with me, sometimes I come up with an idea first and then find a scan, and other times its the scan that comes first...as for backgrounds, try looking over tutorials on the web. That ought to help you out."

As for the wallpaper, there's a couple of minor things I'd fix. First, the tip of Ed's shoe is cut off. Now, I realize that this was most likely intentional, but when its only that much cut off it tends to look like a mistake, so if you could move the guys over a little so Ed's foot is all the way in the picture, it'd make it look a little bit better. Also, it kindof looks like there's a small white spot or two on the top border of Envy's hair..."

"Well, the color looks fine, but if you wanted to make the color's stand out more, a simple overlay would of course fix that, as would many other things. I think it doesn't need to be any sharper, but thats my opinion. Also, it might seem more like a wallpaper if it had a title, but thats just a suggestion too."

"Xcf33 is right, the background is cool but it doesn't quite fit with Lucy, there should be some sort of dark and murky background, like it fits into the show or something, and make it bloody, cuz thats a very big element to Elfen Lied."

"I'd have to go agree with Zephranthes on this one. The gundam is nicely extracted and placed, but its rather small and it seems as though its setting on top of all the background stuff. If you could at least make it look like that vibrant vortex of light and color were more around the gundam rather than behind it that would probably help, and you might try enlarging the gundam a little as well. Not too much, but big enough to emphasize it."
