Done for a contest for Shana group in MT...
I plan to change the fonts ^^ (I'm just in a hurry to show it before going to sleeep ~)
I know the two vectors (of Wilhelmina & her mask) have problems, but I did my best XD
The blue light in Wilhelmina's hand is supposed to be sonzai no chikara ("power of existence"). It's not at all something to hide that the hand is awfully bad detailled... (aw why did I say it?)
I plan on letting the backgroung black, except someone has an idea for me... (in the original screenshot it is black, I thought about adding something like a castle or a graveyard but I couldn't find anything and now I feel like it would be "too full")

So er.. I don't think I'll change a lot of things but I wanted to have impressions ^^"

What was your first anime?

"Dragon Ball Z, on "Club Dorothee" (ooold french TV show, which also had Ranma 1/2 or Fly for example)
And I thought C17 & C18 where the good guys, and the others the badguys XD (I mean, er... Vegeta or Picolo don't look very friendly, do they? XD)

And I really started to go "bersek" watching dozen of animes and reading dozen of mangas after having discovered (and bought) Love Hina (But before that I had already read Kenshin, Yu-Gi-Oh or Fly... But I didn't have the "flame" for animes ^^)"

Depression= no fear XD

"For me it doesn't work that way... When I'm depressed, if something scares me, then if it angries me (especially if someone scared me on purpose...), or depresses me even more... But I don't think my fears go away when I'm depressed, it'd be the opposite ^^
When I'm angry, on the other side, I can forget my fears =) It's great to be angry and to be able to break everything around, until you remember that this or that was precious and tell you "WTF have I done?" (Er this may sound too much, I'm not schizophrenian, huh? XD)"

Sony WILL win XD I can't imagine another option (note that I'm not a Sony fanboy but a Nintendo fanboy)
The PS3 will go out, and everyone will go buy it, even if the games are bad. Like the PS2 (No good games for almost the first year...)
Even if the Xbox 360 is better (What I don't think), it hasn't got Final Fantasy Xi, Tekken 6, (*put here various series sequels names*) and the Sony name

A lot of people think that, a lot more than the people that think that Sony sucks. Same thing goes with Nintendo, (Nintendo is for 8-years old kids), so people go to Sony.

I'll (again) remember when everyone was saying Nintendo would rape Sony's and Sega's asses with his superior 64 bit machine and 0 loading times.

We already know what happened.


Something similar could happen this time, again. And somehow I see a pattern here. This situation is dangerously similar to the situation between The N64 and the PS1.

I think it's very different. The lap of time elapsed between the 2 going out was way bigger, the PS1 brought the 3D, and Nintendo didn't chose cartridges instead of CDs and lost the support of editors like Square... A lot of things had made the thing appropriate for Sony.

My opinion is that no matter what they do, Nintendo and Microsoft are doomed. I'll be extremely surprised if they're able to pass Sony for console sells.

Without Microsoft, who knows what would happen to the world...

No Windows. No bugs. No f***** bugged BIOS livred with laptops to go with Windows but not with the rest. (Personnal grudge XD) No Xbox. Paradise on Earth. (For me XD)"

Valentine day

I start working (for a formation) monday, and I've got the time I will work : 12:30 --> 19h30 which means that for the Valentine's day, I'm going to wake up at 11:30, eat, go, work, Come back from work, go on the net, eat, sleep.
It's sad to be alone, but I won't even get the time to be depressed XD

"Pretty simple wall, and I think the background (melon pans!) suits with the little Shana-tan (and the theme of the "anime" XD), but it feels a little bit empty (but well, I don't see to much what you could add...)
The Shana vector is good, but in this picture it seems to lack quality... Due to jpg? Be careful when you'll save the last version ^^"

Metroid wallpaper

"I think the second wallpaper background is a little bit to simple... But indeed, it looks like the game on GC...
For the first one it looks strange to me, bu I like the effects on Samus. I think even the first background is too simple, you should at least extend the "squares" more, because there is too much empty space (with just grey)

If you continue with the first one, you HAVE to change the font for the Metroid logo (take a look at the original).
I think the second one looks more like what would be in the game so you should continue with it, but I think you should make the background more sophisticated, not just with black. (And perhaps change the font for the description, it feels strange, but maybe just to me)"

Game glitches

"In a (bad) game of soccer, ISS64, I was playing with my brother... And made my player shot at the goal. The goalkeeper dived, saved the ball which returned on the legs of the same player, who I made shoot again, at the other side... And the goalkeeper literraly teleported himself and caught the ball at the other side of the goal!
ISS64 could do instant replays, so I immediatly put it on and watched the action... And we could REALLY see the goalkeeper who was on the floor after the first shoot disappear from his place to reappear in front of the ball he caught! I was *really* astonished O_O
(But I won the match XD)"

How much do you pay from your manga?

Here in the US, the normal price is usually 9.95 - 10.95 dollars, though Shonen Jump (licensed Shaman King, Death Note, One Piece) now sells all their manga for 7.95 dollars per book.

That's why when I came to the US I couldn't buy as many manga as I thought I would be able to XD
In France it cost from 5,5euros to 7euros (for a paperback sized manga).
I don't know what it is now for the euros/dollars ratio, but when I came it was about 1euro for 1 dollar... So to pay 10 or 11 dollars for one manga seemed enormous to me ^^"

"I have two animes I would recommend for who wants to laugh...
The first one, the best one, the must see for everyone, the greatest is Full Metal Panic? Fumoffu... I never laughed to tears, it made my stomach ache... But it is so great! Bonta-kun is the best anime stuffed creature ever! XD
The second one is School Rumble... Really great comedy =)

Oh and even if the anme isn't as good as the manga, Love Hina is a must see! But read the manga, it's... Just... The best sentimental comedy ever XD (For me, it even is the best manga ever XD)"

A little bit too much critics on it, isn't it... juss' relax and enjoy the show...

That's what I did and I really enjoyed it but...
This movie is awesome for the CG and it made me feel that we could see how powerful (terrifying!) our heroes become after having leveled them up for hours and hours, till the best level... Too bad that the film was too much centered on Cloud, because the other deserved to be showed more than that ^^
However, even if I enjoyed the show... You have to recognize that the story is not good... I mean, 3 guys looking like arrive, they fight against Cloud and...
Also the end of the fight VS Sephiroth was a little bit disappointing for me : Cloud seemed to decide : "Well, I'm tired of this, so let's end it.", he used his limit break and... Everything was over.

I still think that Advent Children is a must for everyone, because it is... So greatly made... Beautifully animated...
(On the other hand, Last Order is awful for the story, and is "just" an anime so... It's boring XD)"

What manga has the best art?

"I like a lot Yukiru Sugisaki's art... Really pretty, and she really has improved A LOT since she started (I have D.N.Angel 1 --> 10, the art of the one is pretty bad, but the art of the last ones... Well, knowing that it started in 1997 it's not astonishing that it has improved, but it *really* is something now!)
Detailed, pretty, touching... The art I like the most in the mangas I've read.
(I also like the way Ken Akamatsu draws but he has not this level of mastery yet, but his drawing are already awesome ^^)"

"I think that the Chii on the bottom right looks a little er... Grainy (hair especially), lack of quality of the original picture? The black one looks better for that.
Also I think the characters are a little bit too small...
Apart from that I like the mosaic effect, but I think that the background looks really empty (nothing in the center...) But well that may be how you want it, very simple ^^"

Version 2a > I suppressed the effect on the paper, so it looks more like paper... But I don't know if it goes well with the background, now.
Version 2b > Same thing, and I changed the colors a bit, suppressing a little bit bad-looking details *I think*...

I won't change the girl since I thought it was good... I've worked on the hair ages and don't think I can do anything to improve it a lot... If the overall (especially girl) looks bad I'll give up on this one (I can change the background but... I had this one with the sheet of paper in mind for a long time)"
