"@Pyro it all depends what your budget is and what you want to do with the images. If your just going to be viewing the pictures on your computer 5MP should be more than enough. What camera was it you used before?
I could recommend you a camera but it all depends on your budget. Personally i use a Nikon D80 DSLR which will probably cost you $1000 with the Kit lens. Depending on how avid a photographer you are thats probably more than you'll need.

"I deffinantly prefer the hands in black and white. As for the hotel, i'm not sure i think i prefered it in b/w however it was difficult to see what is was you were taking a picture of. Which is probably what i liked about it. Either way i much prefer the hands picture over the hotel and it's much better in grayscale than in color."

"As far as i'm concerned you dont need to be an amazing artist to have an account on deviantart. Even if your just there to observe the artwork It's good enough. I had my account for about 6 months before i uploaded anything on to it. Instead i just went around deviantart watching people i like.
There are indeed pro's and cons to deviantart. I really like the whole system where you can upload your work and people can watch you/ favorite your work, plus you see how many views you get. I really like that system.
The only downside with such a huge site of course is that allot of talent is missed because of the sheer amount of people on the site. On top of almost any drawings that has anything to do with Anime will become really popular. Most of the top viewed deviants on deviantart seems to be people who draw anime. Thats not really a bad thing and i'm not saying they dont deserve the attention since well i watch those guy's aswell, they are awesome. but i would like to see more attention gone to photography, and literature.

"There are quite a few good photographers out there and i was wondering if anybody here knows about Deviantart? It's a place where you can share your art with other users and have them comment/fav your work. If they like you as an artist they can "watch you" so whenever you submit a new picture/ work of art they see that and they can comment on it.

how long will you read/watch anime??

"I'm not sure how long i'll be watching anime. Though i'm not so sure i can say so surely that i'll be watching anime for the rest of my life like you guy's :p. Not that i wouldnt want to though. Eventually other things will take over my life, work, wife (perhaps) so i dont see myself watching anime for all my life. I'll probably be watching it for another few happy years though.

By the way what is the oldest person you know that watches anime? I've never heard of anyone above 30 watch anime before. "

"I suppose it's because not many people have both glasses and braces and they differentiate you from the rest of the crowd. Plus the people who do wear glasses often either read allot of spend allot of time behind the computer or TV, just like karatarae stated. As for braces i dont know how someone with braces ties in to be nerdy. i'll admit most people look better without them but that doesnt necessarily make you a nerd."

What is ANIME for you?

"I suppose you could say that anime to us is like drugs to others. What i mean is that for a moment you are untroubled by the world around you and live in an imaginary world so to speak. Although i suppose a better comparison would be a book. It's a temporary form of relief. Yet another method to pass the time. In some cases it becomes an obsession for me it's just another hobby. It is rather expensive though.
I also like it because it sets me apart from most other people in the school. Not so different to the extent that i'm an outcast but rather different to an extent where it makes me an interesting person to talk to. Or i say interesting i just mean different."

Where do you See Yourself in 5 Years?

"That is a very good question, one to which i have no answer for. I'll answer this question in 2 separate parts. One post where i wish to be in 5-10 years and another with where i actually think i'm going to be when i reach 27 years old. I'm not stupid i realize that there is a difference with what one wishes to do and what one will actually become. I doubt many people here will even try to become a mangaka when they reach the appropriate age. Life is full of unexpected surprises, you'll never know where you'll end up next.

This is the first part of answer to the question. Right here is where i wish to be in about 10 years time. This is where the dreams and hopes influence your decisions and where your young age influences your reasoning more then you would like it to. In 10 years time i wish to be living abroad (currently living in Holland) I've always had this fascination for Asia so hopefully i'll be moving in that direction. I'll have stable job preferably something computer related and i'll have a comfortable place to live. Nothing to big and fancy but not poor either. At that time i hope to be seeing a girl of which i am very much in love with and keeping thinking to myself, is she the one.

Now for the more truthful part of my post. Where i end up in 10 years depends largely on how i do for the exams i have in 2 weeks time and how dedicated i am to my studies in IB. I've never been particularly fond of school so i wont pretend to be motivated and the smartest of my class. I constantly tell myself i will work though in reality it isnt that easy. What happens in the next 10 years will be greatly influenced by what i do in the coming 2 years. If i look at my strengths and weakness it will seem that i will be heading in the direction of Computers and History. Unfortunetly my school does not offer any computer courses in the IB so my prospects for a job in that direction are looking rather grim. After i do IB i will be going to a university of some kind. As for now i have no idea what kind of direction i will be heading in. I will find out in the coming 2 years i guess. After a few years of university it will be time to get a job. Again all of this is influenced by my choices now so predicting what will happen is very hard. If i could guess i will be staying closer to Europe then i would have liked and if i do indeed go to Asia it will be places like Singapore or Australia. In 10 years time i will be living very modestly having a small apartment and saving up on as much as possibly. A girlfriend is a possibility but i dont see myself with a permenant Girlfriend at the age of 26.

I think that is just about it. I doubt anyone will be bothered to read my life story though :p
there are some interesting views about where most of us will be in 5-10 years though most of them seem to be coming from people who have a semi established life. Others seem a bit to nice to be true. I could be wrong when i say that however and i hope everyone does indeed grow up living the dream life."
