"I suppose you could say that anime to us is like drugs to others. What i mean is that for a moment you are untroubled by the world around you and live in an imaginary world so to speak. Although i suppose a better comparison would be a book. It's a temporary form of relief. Yet another method to pass the time. In some cases it becomes an obsession for me it's just another hobby. It is rather expensive though.
I also like it because it sets me apart from most other people in the school. Not so different to the extent that i'm an outcast but rather different to an extent where it makes me an interesting person to talk to. Or i say interesting i just mean different."

Where do you See Yourself in 5 Years?

"That is a very good question, one to which i have no answer for. I'll answer this question in 2 separate parts. One post where i wish to be in 5-10 years and another with where i actually think i'm going to be when i reach 27 years old. I'm not stupid i realize that there is a difference with what one wishes to do and what one will actually become. I doubt many people here will even try to become a mangaka when they reach the appropriate age. Life is full of unexpected surprises, you'll never know where you'll end up next.

This is the first part of answer to the question. Right here is where i wish to be in about 10 years time. This is where the dreams and hopes influence your decisions and where your young age influences your reasoning more then you would like it to. In 10 years time i wish to be living abroad (currently living in Holland) I've always had this fascination for Asia so hopefully i'll be moving in that direction. I'll have stable job preferably something computer related and i'll have a comfortable place to live. Nothing to big and fancy but not poor either. At that time i hope to be seeing a girl of which i am very much in love with and keeping thinking to myself, is she the one.

Now for the more truthful part of my post. Where i end up in 10 years depends largely on how i do for the exams i have in 2 weeks time and how dedicated i am to my studies in IB. I've never been particularly fond of school so i wont pretend to be motivated and the smartest of my class. I constantly tell myself i will work though in reality it isnt that easy. What happens in the next 10 years will be greatly influenced by what i do in the coming 2 years. If i look at my strengths and weakness it will seem that i will be heading in the direction of Computers and History. Unfortunetly my school does not offer any computer courses in the IB so my prospects for a job in that direction are looking rather grim. After i do IB i will be going to a university of some kind. As for now i have no idea what kind of direction i will be heading in. I will find out in the coming 2 years i guess. After a few years of university it will be time to get a job. Again all of this is influenced by my choices now so predicting what will happen is very hard. If i could guess i will be staying closer to Europe then i would have liked and if i do indeed go to Asia it will be places like Singapore or Australia. In 10 years time i will be living very modestly having a small apartment and saving up on as much as possibly. A girlfriend is a possibility but i dont see myself with a permenant Girlfriend at the age of 26.

I think that is just about it. I doubt anyone will be bothered to read my life story though :p
there are some interesting views about where most of us will be in 5-10 years though most of them seem to be coming from people who have a semi established life. Others seem a bit to nice to be true. I could be wrong when i say that however and i hope everyone does indeed grow up living the dream life."

exams, exams....haaaaaa......

"Bah i got exams soon as well.
IGCSE exams. Doubt any of you know what they are though so i wont bother you with the details.
In any case the exams are spread out over the entire month of may and it covers subject matter from this year and last year.
Like the rest of my class i started studying late. I left all the studying to the last 2 weeks before the exams. Yea thats right i've been studying 4-6 hours a day for a week long already i got a week left to go and i'm pressured for time. I'm such an idiot for not studying one or 2 months in advance. To top it off i got bloody hayfever. WHAT's With that?!! Itchy eye's, runny nose, sneezing every 5 seconds. It isnt exactly good for my concentration.

Bah it's so depressing to know that if i do bad at this i wont make it to IB and be stuck with an extremely bad class next year. All because i didnt follow my teachers advice and started late. Of course if i do pass (i'm not stupid in the sense that i get back grades i'm just lazy) then i dont want to pass with bad grades because that will influence my later choices in life. If i do IB then that diploma is much more important than that of IGCSE but the universities will still look at what i have done in IGCSE.

Public Smoking

"KuroKaze i haven't actually tried to speak with the people. Though most of the people smoking at the buss stop seem to be about 2 years older then me and only being 16 doesn't exactly give a convincing impression i guess you could say. Basically i don't have the guts to tell someone to stop smoking, especially not someone of the same age as me.

Smoking is a really big thing over here. Everyone seems to start off wanting to be cool and starts smoking at a really young age. 12 most of the time. Of course there are exeptions like some girl who wanted to piss of her boyfriend. Anyway now most of our glass is about 15-16 years old and i think about 2/3 of us smoke. Either that or there parents do which is really the same thing.

How about with you guy's? Not sure how many of you go to school though, but i'm sure some of you do :p"

Public Smoking

"So i'm waiting at a bus stop that is packed with people, you know how that goes, you get odd smelling people and people with really odd music. You got rap on one side and trance on the other. It's just something you have to deal with. I mean really it's only 10 more minutes till the bus comes right? Besides if you leave and come back in 10 min you risk standing up or having to wait for the next bus and do the same process all over again. All of a sudden someone right next to you takes out a cigarette and starts smoking. Withing seconds the wind brings the smoke right under your nose and pretty quickly the whole bus stop gets to enjoy you smoking.
This really Really annoys me. Before you get the misconception it's not the smokers i hate. It's the fact that they have to smoke in a public area that is full of people waiting for the bus. For those of you unaware of where i am talking from this is Europe, well the Netherlands to be more specific. Smokers heaven i guess you could say. Meaning that you will get this pretty damn often.
Another example, when i walk to school, 15 min walk from the metro station you will pass at least 2 or 3 groups of people smoking. That isnt half bad though at least you can hold your breath for a few seconds as you get the time to walk around them.
Or if you go to a restaurant, especially small fast food business's that dont have a smoker or non smoking section. You will get some people in the restaurant that feel the need to smoke.
The problem i have is the constant confrontation of having people smoke in public in places that i cannot avoid them. I shouldn't even have to avoid them in the first place.
Ok well i'm done with my rampaging. Please though before you flamming me for being unreasonable or what not do realize that smoking is highly unpleasant for those not used to it or haven't smoked before. I'm not against smokers or even smoking but is it really that hard to keep it to your house?

So what does everyone else think about such things? Doesn't have to be smoking in particular but things like loud music or anything that you should have to deal with.
Also please provide arguments for whichever side you plan to choose. Dont just say yea i agree and let it me done with."

"Well Photoshop is the software program that most people are using to create wallpapers. You will find loads of excellent tutorials teaching you about photoshop however the legal version is very expensive. Another alternative is the free program called GIMP which wont have so many tutorials teaching you how to use the program but it is free. "

If the world would be made of Chocolate

"So yes you have noticed it is a very random topic. But think about it. What if the world was truely made of Chocolate. If anything materialistic was Chocolate. Think about it. Having Deer grazing on chocolate grass or desserts full of milk chocolate. Think of the oceans as a big bowl of hot (Gulf of Mexico) or cold (Arctic Sea) liquid chocolate. Personally i like Chocolate but i'd get sick of that pretty quickly. Infact i had just a big chunk of chocolate and well having everything made out of it just doesn't appeal to me right now.

So the task at hand? Just think of a planet that would be composed of the most delicious things you can thing of. Sleeping on a bed of marsh mellows and swimming in a lake of, well anything depending on where you go. A Lake of Vodka in Russia, Sake in Japan and well yea you get the picture ;). Much like that room from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Naturally it doesnt all have to be sweet and a field of corn could indeed contain corn. Or a field of corn could actually look and feel like corn but tastes like something different. Perhaps a random taste will appear with every bite. Chocolate the first Spaghetti the next. I dunno just think about it.

"Ha ha yea the opening song to Love Hina is pretty funny :p. I get sick of it after a while but it amazingly catchy. Not something i would listen to on a regular basis though.
Guri Guri from Green Green is the same kind of song so if you like the one from Love Hina you'll like Green Green's one. I'd also advise you to watch the OP from Green Green.
As for my real favorites. Well they tend to come and go
As for right now

Fields of Hope (Gundam seed .. or destiny cant remember)
Is one of my favorites. It is a rather slow song but is really peaceful and well i dunno i just like it. Dont tend to get sick of it quickly
Various songs from Gunslinger Girl. Not sure you can call them songs though.. anyway it's classical music.. the kind that i like lol not such a fan of Mozart or all of those but the ones from Gunslinger girl arent bad.
I find that Gundam Seed and Destiny tends to have very good OP and ending songs.
Let's see. Naruto's OP songs arent bad (depending on my mood) but they tend to get tiring very quickly.

The Chobits OP and Ending songs are also pretty good. Not fantastic but they are pretty good.

What is the best final fight scene you have ever seen?

"Let me see. The Naruto VS Sasuke fight was deffinantly the one of the better fights i have seen. Then there was a fight from Gundam seed i think it was one of them on the desert that i really liked. then there are all the short well fights from Gunslinger Girl.

I would say my favorite Anime fight would be the Naruto VS Sasuke one. Especially the water part. It look very good and you can feel that power bubbling up inside them. I have to say i didnt like it when Sasuke transformed into that ugly 2 winged monster but apart from that i really liked it. Naruto's anger was expressed very clearly and i really liked when he changed into the fox thing :p. I much prefer it when Naruto doesn't have control of himself and acts more like the fox. IE runs on 4 feet and seems to slash out more then punch. It's just hard to express but i liked it allot. It was very fast paced but you could follow what they were doing. On top of that the art for that fight seemed to be very good as well.

In second place comes the Fights from Gunslinger Girl. They may be very short but visual wise they are by far the best of the 3. You certainly get the feel that these girls have above human cababilites but on the other hand they arent unrealistically powerfull (throwing fireballs or punching a villain 50 feet just wouldn't fit)

Then comes the Gundam Seed fights. It has been a very long time since i have seen Gundam Seed (the year before lasts summer vacation) So i am having a hard time remembering exactly what happened. Dont get me wrong some of the battles were pretty good (especially in the begging of Seed). The only one that i seem to remeber to this day however is the fight's were Kira fights in the desert. Another one i like is when Athrun (or Aslan?) and Cagali(?) were in the city and got stuck in the middel of some gun fight.

If i were to give rankings it would be as followed

Naruto VS Sasuke 9.4/10
-I didnt like the Sasuke transforming bit

Gunslinger Girl (all fights, individual ones are to short)
8.9/10
-They are very short.

It's hard to Judge Gundam Seed because it's been such a while but if those scenes in the desert would receive a grade it woudl be 8.5

"I'd agree that the weapons do seem to be in very good shape for being very old but that doesnt mean that historical weapons didnt look flashy. That of high ranking men anyway. Perhaps not to be owned but i am sure that someone probably owned weapons that looked simalarly to that. Then again i dont know much about the history of the sword. Just assuming.

"Uhm well depends. on weekdays it tends to be 3 hours i geuss, sometimes more, depending on how much homework i have. During weekends however it tends to be allot more, not exactly sure how much but probably 6+"

"Well i find that if you want to play that rough to get the real feel of the game then go ahead. You however must know that it comes with consequences and have to prepare yourself against them. Dont go blaming nintendo if you brake your TV when you were playing to rough because accidents do happen and swinging like a madman only makes them occur more often.
