After months of work, chanelqueen17 has created a gorgeous scene of Alice and Oz from Pandora Hearts, using scans that didn't even feature both characters together. Even after spending so much time on matching the details of the characters to their new looks, chanelqueen17 didn't stop there and went all out on the background too! This wallpaper definitely needs to be seen!

New Arc....

2 months 1 week ago

"I'm about one or two episodes behind the latest but the last episode that I watched was pretty decent. The mind control bit of Ichigo kind of caught me off guard. And the ending when Muramasa eyes were bleeding out showed that he probably doesn't have long or probably has some way to increase his lifespan or whatever he's doing to stay in that form. Maybe when he said he had no shinigami, was a huge hint to why he's reacting like that. Or perhaps there is a nefarious character keeping Muramasa alive behind the scenes, like a contractor or something. I never thought that there would be any new attacks for major characters no matter what gets hinted at as it is a filler arc, and no matter how much of an improvement it is over filler arcs in the past (for all series) there is no way that anything new will happen that doesn't disappear again before the arc ends.

The ending of Renji's fight seem rushed. But the animation made up for it and I was completely satisfied with the ending between Ichigo and Zangetsu. They couldn't make a better ending than that. "

Valkyria Chronicles Anime

2 months 1 week ago

"Seems like we'll get a rushy ending for this anime. It started going downhill as it gets close to the end. The latest episode I've watched felt incredibly rushed as if the creators suddenly realized that they may have wasted a couple of earlier episodes and now have to cram loads of things in the last couple of episodes, thereby ending up with something that kind of feels like one of those "X movie in thirty seconds" (except the Selvaria/Alicia fight which was a bit too long and kind of boring). Worst of all? Selvaria's death, it was pathetic, almost painful to watch. The entire episode would probably have been better if they had spent more quality time on the plot.

I'm not really looking forward to the next episode, but I'll probably watch it just to to finish off the series... but seeing how they completely ruined Selvaria's end (and I was so looking forward to it) I'm almost scared to see what they will do with everything else. But I have to say, Maximilian shooting Karl, didn't see that one coming, and while it felt unlike Maximilian to do something like that I actually enjoyed the scene (nothing against Karl)."

Phantom

2 months 1 week ago

"I finally decided to watch Phantom, and surprisingly I was intrigued by it, though some of the plot twist were quite predictable, but then again, this seems to be the common trend with most anime series lately. But none the less I rather enjoy it. It's a little different from other stuff airing this season. However, I'm guessing that if I had watched more shows like Phantom, I might not have liked it as much. I'm currently at episode twenty one but episode twenty, left quite a distasteful impression on me regrading Cal's sudden growth spurt in just two years. She's suppose to be sixteen now right? I really wish they would've made the time skip more believable.

They put so much effort into making everything else in this series somewhat realistic, I don't see why they had to make the time skip so short. Maybe it's just a Japanese thing and they like seeing children do unbelievable things, but I really wish they made her older age wise. Actually, I really wish they made Elen and Reiji older too, and I really wish they made his training more realistic (ie last a couple of years instead of what, a month?) Besides that though this series has really been enjoyable so far! It just bothers me that everything else seems realistic and the creators put a lot of effort into making a solid story, but these little things hurt the story in the end I think. But I'm still looking forward to how it all plays out. "

Valkyria Chronicles Anime

"I haven't played the game so I don't know what the graphic looks like to do a comparison but, from what I've been watching the anime, the art is pretty alright. It's an alright anime to watch but I just wish the animators hadn't spoiled the second opening in terms of Alicia being all powered up. Oh well, it can't be helped, because otherwise whatever exciting stuff they showed it would have been monotonous. Well, as the central heroine that was to be expected though. I don't know how the original game story went, but the last episode I've seen was impressive. Though the story was basically about the main character starting to show a latent power, it wasn't a hey-it's-an-ass-whooping-from-our-side kind of bright, exciting thing, but instead an even more depressing turn of events for some reason. The background music saw to that, I think.

I do wish this anime were more realistic in terms of tactics and other military stuff. (In fact I wish the anime wasn't a fantasy in the first place.) But since that can't be helped, I'm fine with how they at least tried to show wars as something depressing. Especially in episodes ten, fourteen, and seventeen. (Man... I'm actually mourning a fictional character's death..) My interest in this series is hyped up because it looks like it's time for a dark, depressing anime super-girl to begin. Hopefully, anyway."

Cultural views on the subject of nudity

5 months 4 weeks ago

"I think that nudity has always been perpetuated as something sacred because the organs deal with, first, pleasure and also with things like child birth and family. Over the years they've just become things that represent these things and usually they speak to our instinctual side. Usually, if you notice, most things that are instinctual in our makeup have been generally cast as "wrong" by society.

And since we've developed the concept of morals and ethics, a lot of our values have been redefined. Much of these morals are defined by religions - many major religions forbid the disclosure of parts that they find 'sexually appealing', like a woman's breasts or a man's penis. In some cultures, nudity isn't considered a bad thing at all. In many tribal cultures of Africa and Asia for example, women go topless about their daily activities and no one (within their community) is alarmed. "Developed" societies tend to view nudity as a shameful thing precisely because they are influenced by religious doctrines. Within a developed society however, there are people that denounce religion or have a non-conventional definition of ethics, thus they find nudity an acceptable idea. Depends on what you choose to influence your values, I guess."

Newlywed Wife Sells Husband’s PS3 for Fun

"p(ToT)q emoticon I can't help but to think of that old saying 'An eye for an eye' in this case. If something like that happened to me and my 'husband' ( have to do the inverse because I'm a girl) sold my console/computer at a bargain basement price just for kicks. I’d go along with his joke and sell all his car at bargain prices to replace my setup. But honestly If their marriage is starting out like this with the both of them, even if he forgives her and stays married to her, it won’t stop at just selling his console and games. Unless he’s the type of guy who feels comfortable being pu$$ywhipped into submission, they’re headed for divorce in just a short time period, anyway. Should be a huge knock-up for him (that’s a big wake-up-call for you dude). "

Atheist?

5 months 4 weeks ago

"
Mimilu
I would like to ask how many of you out there is truly an atheist?. The reason for this question is I believe that Atheism is every bit as unreasonable as any other belief system. None of us can truly be certain of anything. The absolute belief that there is no God is as delusional as the absolute belief that God exists. It simply cannot be proven one way or the other at present so the only reasonable stance is agnosticism.

How is atheism delusional? There has not been a shred of evidence ever presented for the existence of god. So I'm fully justified in saying that a god doesn't exist. If I proposed the existence of something ridiculous without any evidence, then everyone else would be quite within their rights to tell me I'm wrong.

Also, most atheists are not certain. We will even change our minds if sufficient evidence is put forward. Plus, agnosticism is a cop out. You can't answer a question of belief/opinion, with an answer about knowledge. You either have belief in a god, or you do not. Whether you are certain of that belief is a different question entirely.

@ Leonil

1) Nature is very much credible, just complicated. Which is why people study it, rather than just looking at it and saying 'wow, isn't that something'.
2) There are no historical events that could not have happened naturally.
3) There are no miracles in the Bible. We understand very well how paper works and how it can be used to tell stories. That isn't even remotely miraculous. And I have no reason to believe that you or anyone else have ever actually witnessed something supernatural.
4) The authors of the New Testament lived well after Jesus died and knew very little of his life. So basically they took the prophecies and used them as the basis for their works. For example, historically we know Jesus was definitely not born in Bethlehem. But there was a prophecy that he would be, so the authors assumed he was. That's not proof of anything.
5) Humans don't have an innate desire to worship something. Human children have an innate desire to believe whatever they're told. If you tell them to worship something then you'll create a desire in them to do so, but it isn't innate. And it wouldn't be proof or even evidence for your religion even if such an innate desire existed.
6) Again you assume the behavior of adults is somehow natural. In any case, every mammal species that lives in social groups has some sense of right and wrong. It's necessary to survive in a society.
7) You ignore the possibility that Jesus was mistaken. You also ignore the fact that we cannot 'look at Jesus' life', we can only look at stories about him written long after he died. Which adds a new range of possibilities that involve no deceit or insanity on Jesus' part.
8) I have no need to point out Biblical contradictions, because their absence would be meaningless. 40 men over 1600 years? You have no factual basis for claiming those numbers, and in any case it only takes one decent writer (or one decent editor) to create a structurally consistent story."

K-ON!

6 months 4 days ago

"Why do we have to go through this whenever there’s a new Kyoani show, seriously, I wonder what everyone expects of this show? 12 episodes of crazy live concerts? Guitars that transform into mecha? Acidic breast milk? This show has the lucky star vibe written all over it, did that show let you down too? if it did, you should have known what was coming with k-ON!.

Kyoani does several things very well, and they nailed them all in the first episode. cute character designs, good animation, solid voice acting, not to mention a great ability to manage pace and scene flow, evidenced by that little montage of yui running to school. THIS is the Kyoani that we’ve come to love and expect. I’ll say the same thing I did for lucky star - screw expectations. If you don’t like it because you’re not into girls with guitars or whatever, fine, but you should have known this show was going to be exactly that, but the reason many others are criticizing this completely innocuous show is because they expected one thing and got something entirely different. Expecting BECK? This isn’t it. Expecting Haruhi? Definitely no aliens, time travelers, espers in this show. Expecting Clannad? lol.

Instead, one should approach these kinds of shows similar to how one would look at a show like Kannagi. I don’t think anyone gave a damn about that show when it first came out, but then it turned into a huge sensation just because it carved out its own niche when people weren’t expecting it to be anything. If Lucky Star or even Clannad After Story were any indication, Kyoani likes to take it slow the first few episodes - no doubt to temper your rapid expectations - and gradually ramp it up until the final episodes where the entire anime fanbase is collectively sipping the Kyoani koolaid. If lofty and misplaced expectations do anything, they cause you to miss what’s actually great about the show. So throw your expectations out, and just sit back and enjoy the ride, because it never fails to be great fun."

A world without religion?

6 months 6 days ago

"
BitCloud
What would the world be like without religion? Isn't it that evolution suppose to plucked out genes that are weak so it ensure the survival of the fittest? Take a look at the world around you, deadly Illnesses and epidemics only happen long term in the human race. Doesn't that tell us something? look at the overall well being of the plant life, Look at the over all well being of the animal and insect life, the ocean life, all very healthy. Why is it that? humans keep having "defective" genes. while the other life on the planet seems to be okay. Humans practice religion, the purpose of our spirit is to unite us with nature, nature does evolve, and in it's evolution wipes out illnesses as par for the course, when humans began worshiping "god or gods" through their religions they have put humans above nature and in so doing removed themselves from nature's healing cycles. So now today you ask "If Evolution is true why do we still have defective genes?" the answer is because to many people fall for the religious dogma.

I have to disagree with your post. Evolution isn't influenced by religion! Genes aren't altered by beliefs! Yes, the world tells us something - it tells us that we are out of sync with nature, that what we are doing is unlike what simpler animals and plants do; but hey! Guess what? We're uniquely intelligent! This sets us apart form plants and animals. If we behaved as they, we would be denying our inherent traits - like being an eagle that chooses not to fly!

Your call is for humans to step backwards because the path of scientific advancement can have a heavy price, even wipe us out. Okay - fine, you have your belief. You go back to the swamp, the cosmic soup, if you want to. Only you'd have to give back your clothing, your house, your car, your TV, your computer, your hair straighteners, your cosmetics, your FOOD, your alcohol; you go and sit in the sun on a rock and hum to yourself as the rest of humanity does what it does. It won't die. It won't stop for your great call to see 'sense'.

You say that the purpose of our spirit is to unite us with nature - how do you come to THAT conclusion? You can't even prove that there IS a spirit let alone that it has any purpose! And of what 'healing cycles of nature' do you speak? Volcanoes? Earthquakes? Tornadoes? Hurricanes? Tsunamis? Lightning? Forest fires? Drought? Famine? Pestilence? Diseases? Viruses? The laws of the jungle, 'survival of the fittest'?

Your idea of nature exists only in Disney films. Nature is a harsh and cruel mistress; she cares nothing for happiness, for human suffering. Man (and every other life form) has had to fight tooth and claw for what it is and many become extinct in the fight. For humanity, religion is just something that is happening in the meantime, like origami, and coffee mornings. The world, *from mankind's point of view*, would be better off without *organized* religion. It causes more trouble than it benefits by FAR. Personal beliefs, kept to oneself, can harm no one and if they give you succor, comfort you in times of doubt and confusion, then fine. But pressing beliefs on others, and believing so fervently in one's own religion that it makes any others seem offensive such that you want to tear out the eyes of its believers, is what organized religion does."

A world without religion?

6 months 2 weeks ago

"Undoubtedly. Religions - not to be confused with spirituality or a relationship to "God" - or rather religious differences, are at the root most of the great evils in the world. While some may think that religion provides (or has provided) for many good things: morals, community, personal comfort, these things existed long before organized religion.

Our core morality (don't kill, don't steal, etc.) did not evolve for any Abrahamic or Buddhist or Hindu or Wiccan traditions. They evolved from necessity of being a social animal. Religion may have helped codify them, but necessity would have eventually done the same. Sense of community can come from any common meeting of the minds. It could a sports club, the elks, or whatever. Religion is just another incarnation. Personal comfort (in a spiritual sense) is a individual matter. In an optimal situation, individuals would seek advice from each other and the take the best of the input - not seek to follow a central authority.

I suppose organized religion does serve the purpose of comforting those who are unable to either live with the unknowable or be comfortable in their own thinking about it without the influence of an authority figure."

What do you think of the ending?

6 months 4 weeks ago

"If Simon had stayed on, others will forever be in the shadow of his greatness, and people will start to become complacent and take things for granted again like in the Rossiu story arc, because the all mighty Simon will always be there to solve their problems. Simon probably realized this and thought it best to step out of the limelight and let humanity stand on its own two feet and seize its own destiny. He has already showed them the way, all they have to do is just follow his path of "piercing the heavens with your drill", in the meantime, he will choose the life of a wanderer guiding mankind from the sidelines, but making sure he is not at the forefront so as not to steal people’s thunder. It is a sacrifice that he as a true hero is willing to bear. But Simon is content with this, he is not one for regrets and will always look towards tomorrow and as long as humanity’s future is bright, he can live happily knowing he did a good job. That I feel is the real theme of Gurren Lagann, to not regret the past but to look forward to a shining future and trying to seize it."

The purpose of life?

6 months 4 weeks ago

"Here's my two cents! God is our Father in Heaven. We are his children in spirit. This makes us all brothers and sisters. He has given us a plan of salvation to follow to return to live with him again. This life is our test to see where our choices will lead us. He gave us directions a perfect example to follow the scriptures are the directions and the perfect example is Jesus Christ whom is God's only begotten son in the flesh. Jesus died for us all by proxy and took upon himself all the sins of the world. He invites all to follow after him and his example and teachings so that we can have eternal life and be happy and become like our Father in Heaven. We can obtain all that our Father has in store for us. Since we are his children that makes each of us royalty. We can become like him and do just as he has done if we follow his plan of happiness. Satan was also a part of the plan. Satan wanted us all to return to live with Heavenly Father again but his plan was to force us back and he would receive all the glory. We chose to follow Jesus' plan which was that he would come down to earth and take upon himself all the sins of the world by suffering persecutions, pain and all that the world would inflict upon him.

He had to be perfect, flawless and be innocent to be proxy for all of us and suffer. All we have to do is to follow him and his teachings and to repent and to promise to improve each day and he would take on our pains and mistakes. We follow him by being born again of the water which is symbolic and also a washing of all our sins. We do this through baptism then we are to be given the gift of his spirit which is the gift of the holy ghost the 3rd personage of the godhead who is a comfort and guide throughout the rest of our lives, then we must partake of the sacrament to renew our covenants taken at baptism which is to take upon us the name of Jesus Christ and to follow him and be like him. Then we are to take on other ordinances and promises as we are brought into the fold of Jesus Christ to be sealed to our eternal family forever which explains the use of temples upon the earth. The fullness of the everlasting gospel of Jesus Christ is found in both the Bible and the Book of Mormon which is another Testament of Jesus Christ. We are given prophets who are the mouthpiece of God and he speaks through them. We have a modern day prophet here upon the earth who speaks to God and he gives us his words for our day. Just as in ancient times. God is the same today, and yesterday and forever. He set up his church in ancient times and has given us the same pattern to follow to return to live with him again. Our Prophet, Seer and Revelator today is President Thomas S. Monson. Just as in days of old there are 12 apostles as special witnesses of Jesus Christ. "

Elements of nature

"I like all the elements of nature. Nothing is more soothing to my soul than watching the trees sway in the breeze as I lay on a blanket outside in the sun reading a book and listening to India Arie play acoustic guitar in the background. My dog licks my feet out of affection and I slowly drift into a light sleep as the clouds play in the sky."

Religion and Science

7 months 1 day ago

"It would be interesting if religion were to be taught in schools, just like science is mandatory taught in most schools. I would actually support the idea a great deal, let me clarify what I mean. When I say I support the idea of religion being taught in schools, I don’t in anyway mean to say that I want children to be taught to worship a particular deity, or to be taught that certain religious propositions like the virgin birth, the Immaculate Conception, or the preeminence of Muhammad in the pantheon of prophets is true. I just want our children to be informed about them in the same manner that a well-rounded education should inform children about certain details of Greek mythology. Just because we teach Greek mythology, does not mean that we intend our children to revere Zeus or offer propitiation's to Aphrodite. It is important to learn about myth because it illuminates what is or was important to people, and myth has, for better or worse, driven much of our history. So though I don’t want to instruct our children to worship Yahweh, Jesus, Brahma, etc, I want them to know about them, what people believe about them, what consequences those beliefs had on our history, and what ramifications are being felt globally by the maintenance of such beliefs.

One of the greatest threats against religion spreading, is to teach comparative religion. Once kids eyes are open to how religions form, how they are all derivative, and how many religious precepts are purely concocted to substantiate government and clerical corruption, the mystique of religious belief will be gone, and these kids will be more inclined to view religion with a critical eye. If I were to pinpoint a pivotal moment in my evolution away from Catholicism to unbelief, it was a segment in my World History class on world religions that I was exposed to. The lectures that my teacher gave us, became the catalyst for me to investigate my faith further from both philosophical and historical grounds, throughout my life thus far and beyond.

On the flip side of the coin, I don’t believe we have a right to compel religious institutions to teach science. Even if that were possible, I am sure religious instructors, especially of the fundamentalist variety, would find a way to either discredit controversial scientific notions, like evolution, or put a metaphorical spin on it to make it compatible with their belief system, thus in some way distorting the science. In other words, allowing science to be taught by institutions that have a biased against one of the axioms of modern science (i.e. evolution), actually does more to harm scientific understanding than it does to engender it in the masses.

Furthermore, forcing scientific instruction into a religion class completely dismantles the Establishment Clause in the Constitution, which provides for a wall of separation between Church and State. Once this barrier has been torn down, religious groups will be free to lobby for every idiotic proposition that they want incorporated into our public sphere. The desire for the government to force Sunday school classes to teach science, and specifically evolution, is a double-edged sword."

Men`s Society

7 months 1 week ago

"Women would hold all important positions in politics, economy, culture and public life, perhaps with some few male exceptions, especially in caring institutions. And such female takeover would even make sense, because women are already much better educated than the average men today. This would mean that our society would get the opportunity to unfold a female creative power we have not seen so far. Men would be expected to take over more supportive roles. Many of them will stay at home, doing the house chores and raising the kids. Their wives will be the breadwinners.

Women will wear the pants, and maybe men will start to wear skirts and dresses, paint their nails and put on make-up, being vulnerable and hopefully protected by their strong and confident wives and girlfriends. A cute and well-behaved man will rely on his wife's guidance. If this will be an oppression, depends on whether men will feel subjugated. Maybe, many of them would adapt to women's rule, above all when living in a loving relationship. Possibly it would just be the other way round, like in the past many women voluntarily submitted to men's rule in the patriarchy. But maybe there will also be some resistance (men's liberation movement).

I am not sure that the world will be more peaceful than our present one, because women would learn to act like men in the past. Can we hope that giving birth would lead them to a more peaceful regiment? Or would perhaps medical research also find ways to enable men to carry the child?<- That's a possibility that I pray for!"

Believe in ghosts?

7 months 1 week ago

"I certainly do not dismiss the evidence (not proof) of "Ghosts" existence provided by reports from witnesses over centuries and scientific studies for over a century. Thus, ghosts are certainly a real human experience regardless of what the explanation (and I suspect they are different in different types of sightings) might prove to be. However I also believe that mental illness exists in varying forms and in more ways than how it is medically and popularly defined. I'm quite sure the majority of such illnesses will always go undiagnosed and many of these cases marked down to "supernatural phenomena." There is no way I can continue this opinion without going into an almost existentialist rant. Remember also that humans naturally have different ways of dealing with grief which may evoke experiences like hallucinations and dreams.

If ghosts do exist (ignoring the mental illness possibility) then I am actually a religious person and am unable to explain it. (on that note, the afterlife I believe in is commonly called "Christianity" and is a non-material state for the soul which can't be determined by man-made mathematical logic) In the spirit of Halloween I am not scared of ghosts anywhere near as much as I am about my niece jumping out at me with a toy spider. Personally I have never seen a ghost, cannot possibly imagine one and therefore when it really comes down to it, they do not exist for me."

How important is money to you?

7 months 1 week ago

"If you were able to acquire all the necessities of life without cash, wouldn't that be OK? What do you think man did before there was any such thing as money. They hunted, gathered and bartered (traded). Money is a relatively new concept. It sets a standard for exchange. If you raised chickens you could exchange them directly for bread. The problem is you must find someone with bread who also wants chickens. With money in the picture, you can sell the chickens for dollars because you can exchange the dollars for bread without having to find someone who wants dollars. It is an accepted means of quantifying goods and labor. To a great extent, it is a convenience.

So while money isn't important, what it buys can be very important. It can literally mean the difference between life and death. And for me personally "money" plays an important role in life especially now, but Its just a part of life."

Hey fellas ...and ladies! hows your luck with the opposite sex?

8 months 2 weeks ago

".(-c-). emoticon I've never had much luck with boyfriends and I find it very difficult to allow myself to get close to someone and yet at the same time, I tend to get very clingy and possessive which pushes them away even further (which makes me wonder why my brother left as abruptly as he did) He was my best friend and I loved him dearly but then he went and got himself a girlfriend and moved out of the house. I was totally fine with it in the beginning but now certain things that I have pondered about have led me to notice my extremely possessive behavior which is very unhealthy... back to what I was saying before, my first love, I suppose was when I was ten and he was eleven (my older lover XD) we use to hold hands and stuff and sometimes we'd kiss on the cheek usually at school and at some of the Christmas parties, things like that. But it ended when his family moved to a different neighborhood, and only like ten blocks away so I guess the whole long distance thing just didn't work for us how sad!

I did have a huge crush on someone when I was like thirteen (but now that I look back, he was such a dope and I was ten times the loser for liking him that much!) anyway it turned into an obsession and that's when I started to lose myself a bit, he didn't notice me and I simply didn't have the nerve to talk to him, and thus the obsession just grew and grew. And then I found myself getting really jealous whenever I saw him with other girls. I really don't know what happened to make me fall out of crush for him, I guess I just grew up as people do and wake up to myself.

Right now I'm just happy being alone and I really don't have a person in mind that I am the least bit attracted to. Maybe I'm just going through a phase who knows. I still have time for all that stuff later on so there really isn't any need for me to worry about my lack of "love life" so to speak!"

Housemaids: To be trusted or not?

8 months 2 weeks ago

"That's an unfortunate story on both sides. I will never have the luxury of hiring a housemaid and frankly it's one luxury that I would rather do without. People are just people and you have to treat them with respect in order to have a good relationship with them, but sadly this does not work all the time as some people are just born for the specific purpose of destruction, believe I know a few of them all too well. I believe that everyone has trust issues secretly within them while others choose to be naive and thus ruin themselves. Personally I would not trust anyone to help out with my family (that has yet to come, lol.) When I step in to the life of a full grown adult, I plan to take full responsibility for my family. There are far too many corrupted people in the world and I will be better off without them. But good luck to all those who decides to hire extra help (housemaids) you will surely need it! "

[Anime Discussion] Higurashi no Naku Koro ni

8 months 2 weeks ago

"It was a very strange series and I can appreciate shows where not much appears to happen on surface of each episode. Often for such series, when it’s viewed in its entirety, you get to see the added story development of those episodes. Given that, whose complaint was that the first season was exactly the opposite? If it’s more the manga purist, then (I never thought I’d be saying this, because I was once a manga purist) they need to realize that telling a story via a show is much different than a book. A reader can control his/her own pace to his/her liking simply by reading faster or slower; however, for a show, you watch it at the pace it’s presented. It’s hard to find a good balance on what pace will appeal to most users, so I guess this is entirely up for debate. Personally, I loved the pace of the first season. "

Clannad The After Story

"Wow no shocker there, I mean to be honest Ushio would have died either way. The reason being Ushio seemed aware of it her self she wouldn’t make it. Thus the reason she said “It has to be now” about going on a trip. I’m not so convinced she died completely either, maybe just lost consciousness. She always went to that hospital (where Akio brought Nagisa) so I’m guessing that has something to do with the ending.

I’m guessing it’ll be something where there will be some flash backs, the whole robot and girl in the other world bit, some weird dream world where Tomoya talks to Nagisa and how she says everything is going to be better or something (or maybe like change is good), then he wakes up in a hospital dazed a bit then asks where Ushio is, finds out shes fine and when she walks in she walks in with one of the other girls (Tomoyo maybe? Did anyone want to be a nurse?) or walks in with someone that looks a lot like Nagisa but to Tomoya she’ll probably look like Nagisa for a bit then after Nagisa smiles and a bunch of light orbs release showing its someone else, probably end with Tomoya and the other girl talking/walking with her and Ushio (Ushio in the middle) holding hands and as they walk Ushio will see a light orb in between them or something. That’s my guess anyway."

Do you believe in next life ?

"I'm always surprised at people's reply to these sort of topics with a "yes" and an indefinite one as if they know for sure. Truth of the matter is no one knows for sure. The way I look at it is this, if some form of god exists, and I was created by this being, then this creator also gave me the brain with which I try to better understand the world around me. So when I die and have my chat with this creator, you would think he/she/it would understand my point of view better than I do and take this into consideration. On the other hand: if by questioning the world around me in the only way I know how, with the brain I was born with, I am damned... my only conclusion is that I simply should not have existed in the first place.

Now, to strictly adhere to the topic at hand, of all I have learned of history, world religions, culture, society, of science, of the behavior of the universe, of all of my own personal experiences. I would conclude at this point in time that in all probability there is no life after death, we are but mortal creatures who share the planet with a multitude of others like us. I would go further and suggest that consciousness is, in a way, a self-contained universe. The only way to make a measurement is through comparison, to compare death to life would require a similar consciousness and awareness that exists in both. But if consciousness is only a result of the curious arrangement of molecules in which we exist, then this awareness ceases to exist when life ends. Therefore, to know what it is like to be dead would be comparable to remembering a time before you were born.
