"I don't think that would make for an interesting relationship as others have said. Plus if my boyfriend were exactly like me in every way, I'd start to wonder why he was with me in the first place, j/k XP.

But anyway, a relationship needs something to work on and if they were exactly like me, where would the fun of learning about them be? Sure it's great to have someone who knows the things you like, but isn't it much better to have someone who's a bit different, that way you both can appreciate each other's qualities that much more and maybe even change to better yourself? ^_^"

Why were you attracted to AP?

"I was looking into creating wallpapers, but tend to be more focused on the forums and the Cardcaptor Sakura now. I also like looking at the wallpapers as there are so many talented wallpaperists (is that even a word? hehe) on here. The forums are filled with many good questions and have a hard time choosing which ones to pick, hehe.

I think the seriousness of people's posts tends to be based on what subject they are talking about though. I mean if you're discussing about life, you're going to find more serious posts as it adds more to the discussion than making a joke about it. Not sure about people preparing their posts for months though, hehe. But yeah, it could be that people here tend to ask more serious questions about life rather than less serious things so you're going to find it difficult to see people crack jokes and take a less serious tone with the subjects."

Do girls like anime as much as guys do?

"Absolutely, yes. While different genres tend to have gender gaps, such as mecha anime tend to be watched more by boys, anime is evenly liked by both genders. I think boys are more vocal about their fandom though, but that doesn't mean girls don't enjoy it as much.

I agree with Ellysia and Sydney that it's much more about taste than anything, although society's view of anime doesn't exactly paint it in a positive light so I can see why some girls might stray away from watching it. I mean what with western society deeming anime to be "highly perverted Japanese cartoons."

As for the parts I like? I like the detailed stories and character development. It's fun to find out the history of the characters you watch, as it helps you enjoy it more ^_^. I also like the deeper stories that have romance in them which you don't find very often in western animation."

Do fansubs help or hurt anime?

"I'd have to say it's somewhere in the middle. Some people watch fansubs to get an anime for free, but there are a lot of people who, like Longbow said, use it as a demo to see if they would enjoy the show and if they enjoy they will go out and buy it. Now while they can help a lot due to giving a person a taste of the series before buying it, sometimes it can hurt anime in that some people will enjoy a series enough to watch it but not enough to watch it again and thus will watch it for free without buying the DVDs.

I think the problem is that there are a lot of series now that are being licensed and not broadcast on television so when the moment comes where you can buy such a series, your only option is to either risk it and buy the DVD hoping it is good or watching it for free and testing it out and most opt for the latter. Lately though some companies are catching on and releasing their episodes on a video service such as YouTube like FUNimation is doing so you get used to their version while also allowing people to see if they like it before choosing to buy it.

I think given the right tools, fansubs can help the anime industry. While there will always be some people who are just trying to get something for nothing, that doesn't mean that fansubs are bad. I guess I just think of fansubs as the free samples they give at stores, sure you could take a bunch and not it, but that doesn't mean there aren't plenty of people who will buy it after trying it."

Do you believe in next life ?

We were designed to work.

But if that is the case, what is the purpose of those who are unable to work? I more so believe we exist to live and continue life as we do that every second of our lives whether it be eating food, drinking liquids, avoiding death, creating rules to prevent death and procreating; all these things we do on a daily basis. If we were truly designed to work then there would be no need for holidays/vacations.

With that said, I believe it is unknowable right now whether or not there is an afterlife. Just look at many people's responses as to what the afterlife consists of to see just how different we each hold it to be. Some feel that contains reincarnation, some feel it's big fluffy clouds with angels and harps, some feel it's a giant place where they get to meet their family members and friends again, some also feel that we don't take physical form in an afterlife.

Do I believe there could be a next life? I would like to as it's a nice concept, but until the time comes, I don't believe we can be 100% sure."

Can God Exist Outside of Religion?

"Absolutely. Religion is merely a group of people who have certain rules for belief of a certain higher power. Spirituality is the belief that there is more to humanity than meets the eye and that there is indeed something that is bigger than ourselves, but it doesn't have a set of rules as religion does. So I believe that a god can exist outside of religion through spirituality, but to add rules to that higher power creates a religion.

This is why some people say they are spiritual but not religious. They believe there is a bigger force out there, but do not worship it as they haven't yet defined what it is."

"I guess that the thing that creates the most hatred is the misunderstanding of others. You fear what you don't know and that fear sometimes leads to choices that aren't always good as is the case with Pain's parents being killed by the Leaf village's ninja because they feared his parents were enemy ninja while his parents attacked because they feared the leaf ninja were there to kill them when all they were there for was food.

If they take the time to listen to each other and settle their differences through talking instead of fighting, maybe the ninja world will change ^_^."

Do you think the base nature of humans is evil/bad?

"I believe it's a bit more complex then yes or no. As others have said, the concept of evil/bad is not a natural concept, but more a human concept. We don't necessarily consider cats who kill mice for the fun of it as evil, but do for humans who do the same. Secondly we have to ask ourselves what truly is "bad" or "evil". I've always thought of that question through a quote by Thief Bakura from Yu-Gi-Oh, who said "What is evil?" "If I am loyal to what you say is right, is that all that it takes to make me good?".

What exactly is bad/evil? If we take into thought that humans have an instinct called fight or flight which tells us when we should run and when we should attack. If someone attacks me unknowing that I don't pose a threat to them, can I consider them as bad as a person who would deliberately attack me? If I attack someone deliberately in order to defend myself or another, am I to be considered evil/bad? What makes something bad/evil?

I guess those are the kind of questions you have to ask before finding out whether or not people are inherently evil/bad. I guess I'd have to go with saying that humans are neither, but rather too complex to be fit into any 1 category."

"Well I wouldn't exactly say I felt they were going to make a 2nd series, but rather I wish they would ^_^. I wish they would make a new version of Cardcaptor Sakura based on another character's view, like Tomoyo so that you can get a more personal look into each character ^_^. But other than that, no, I've not done that before."

CLAMP Works

"My favourite CLAMP work would have to be Cardcaptor Sakura ^_^. It's just the cutest series I have ever seen, I mean the characters are so fun to watch and the story is amazing ^_^. It really turned around what a Mahou Shoujo series could be and made it fun ^_^.

My favourite CLAMP character? I'd have to say Rika Sasaki from Cardcaptor Sakura since I can relate to her more than the other characters, although I also like Sakura, Tomoyo and Chii as well and not to mention Shaoran ^_^.

I don't think there is anything I really dislike about CLAMP stories ^_^. It's not that they might not have something you can critique but that I just really can't find anything I dislike personally ^_^. They always seem to make a magical world of every series they make and I can't find any flaws.

I know they have Tsubasa and all, but I wish they could come up with a new slant on the CCS world, something like Tomoyo's side of the story, that would be interesting to see even if it was only an OVA ^_^."

"I have to say I absolutely agree. It seems like they aren't even trying anymore and are just rushing out the "next best thing" without even checking to see if it's something the people will enjoy. If only they knew that patience works in the long-run and actually made sure their shows were quality. Although with some there is sort of a lack of imagination and just a repeat of the same old thing over and over, I mean how many shows can you possibly have where they try to fix someone's house, never mind all the music competition shows like Canadian/American/etc. Idol. Also the fact that good shows like The 4400 get canceled to make way for these horrible shows. It's almost as if they don't even care what the people want.

If the cartoons on TV were as good as anime I'd probably be more interested in them but it seems to be more or less like they are just trying to sell us a faulty product hoping that we don't see it's broken and buy more of their products. I know you can say that anime has it's fair share of merchandise as well, but at least anime has worthwhile stories and characters that make the product enjoyable rather than just an empty excuse for selling a bunch of items.

But overall it just feels like it will never get better, they are too far past the point of ever being able to convince themselves that the customer is what matters. It's sad that it's more about ratings and how quick a buck they can make than actually making the watcher happy."

What is good or what do you like about Lucky Star?

"I like how we do so many of the things that are mentioned in the series, like the whole talking into the fan thing, hehehe. Also the fact that Konata doesn't have a stereotypical role, it's as if she is an animated version of yourself which is a nice change.

I think that is what is best about the series, that we can all relate ourselves easily to the characters as they go through what we have been through and done, rather than a character that has situations that no one could ever go through."
