Honestly, the media options and everything come second to just have a notebook that can run well for the things I need it to do. Not like any of that would require a lot in the first place, though. I'm not really hardcore into anything, I just like options.

"This summer I'll come across enough cash to purchase a new laptop.. Mostly for school, but I'm also into entertainment and dig media options.

So, I was just wondering if anyone here could recommend some decent notebooks for under $1,000. I realize that's not a lot to work with, but I really don't have a lot of cash to be throwing around in the first place."

And Japanese aren't readily exposed to African-Americans anyway. Just think about it.

I don't think it's any negativity towards that specific race.

Of course, it isn't like they're aren't any African-Americans in Manga. Look at Tousen from Bleach. Sure, he's supposed to be a bad guy, but he has good intentions (even if he's going about it the wrong way) and does have a fan following."

"I know it's been out here since, when, 2005? November of, at least. I just recently purchased the first two volumes, and am overjoyed at what I found.

The art is amazing. Nihei's mastery of architecture is darn apparent. The world BLAME! is set in is just so out there, but it's crafted excellently.

And the action, oh my.. Killy's Gravitational Beam Emitter is killer. His opponents are sinister as well; and extremely creatively designed. They're totally freaky.

Well, anyway, I just wanted to know what others thought about it. I heard complaints about the lack of dialog in some places, but I don't think Blame! was crafted to have a lot of talking in the first place."

"I prefer the Zone of the Enders games. I'm a Gundam anime fan, but the games are usually medicore.

Zone of the Enders was pretty mediocre. It had some cool moments but it wasn't exactly an amazing game. But then The Second Runner came out, and blew my mind. Fast action, screen-filling battles, and awesome boss fights made me fall in love with the short, but oh-so-sweet, Second Runner. The climax was amazing.

Also, Yoji Shinkawa's mech designs are stunning. They have this out-of-this-world flair that just amazes. Jehuty and Anubis are definitely two of my favorite mecha of all time, up there with Hi-Nu Gundam.

I have high hopes for the Xbox 360 Gundam game, though. Here's to hoping it'll be sweet!"

"It certainly is a fun game. Looks absolutely stunning, and the boss design is bad@$$.

The story, though the press has been dogging it, is actually pretty cool. Especially for us anime fans.

The online multiplayer over Xbox Live is super-fun. Quick bursts or for hours, it never gets old! And the maps are excellent, minus Pirate Fortress. Lost Cost is a personal favorite, for the ocean on that level is a visual splendor!"

Who hates Naruto?

"It's like DBZ with Ninjas. And kids.

It's slow and boring. The plot advances far too slow. Naruto is another anime archetype that I hate, and my stomach cringes every time I hear someone talk about it being 'good'.

Personally, I prefer Bleach. Especially the manga. It's more my style. Faster, more mature, and Ichigo isn't an idiot main character. The art-style of Bleach is also very cool; though it looses a lot in translation to the anime. "

Well Im a fan of all metal types, be they power metal, nu-metal, or death metal, though nu-metal is my favourite. But alas, the thread started stated he didnt want to hear about that side of metal, so Ill focus on the others.

Therion, Inflames, Trivium (their older albums, the new one stinks imo), Killswitch Engage ftw, Raunchy, Warmen, Pyramaze, Norther, Lamb of God, Bullet for my Valentine, and so on...

But Ill say again that nu-metal is my fav :P

Indeed, Trivium's newest album, The Crusade, isn't that great. When I first listened to it, my first though was: "This is Trivium?"

It does have some good tracks like "To the Rats" and "Entrance of the Conflagration," but a majority of them come off as lackluster. And considering that I listen to most metal for their awesome choruses, I was very disappointed with it.

Their first album, Ember to Inferno, wasn't all that great either. I couldn't really find any songs that I really liked from it. But Ascendency... Holy crap. Talk about rocking. "Pull Harder on the Strings of Your Martyr" is such an amazing song I could vomit."
