After months of work, chanelqueen17 has created a gorgeous scene of Alice and Oz from Pandora Hearts, using scans that didn't even feature both characters together. Even after spending so much time on matching the details of the characters to their new looks, chanelqueen17 didn't stop there and went all out on the background too! This wallpaper definitely needs to be seen!

"Here's their policy:Similar to most ISPs in the UK, there is no exact number for acceptable use. In my experience, they rarely enforce on these kinds of rules. It's just a photography site and I don't plan to host any video or audio high bandwidth media so it shouldn't be a problem.
Their 10Mbps connection doesn't sound very good to me. In this day and age people are getting 24Mbps connections. I figured as a server they'd have better. It also doesn't specify if that is dedicated upstream or what. If 10Mbps is shared between all their customers, that's absolutely shite.
They seem to have boosted the services, doubling the capacity which is nice.
I'm gonna take a look at Namesco. Compare the packages.

Anyhoo, my friend is looking for a UK based web hosting service for his photography portfolio site which I am designing.
If anyone has had any experience with such a company, or knows someone who has, please give me some comments, suggestions and recommendations.
After a brief look at some rankings, www.fasthosts.co.uk seems to be well thought of but who knows how impartial those rankings are.
Preferred hosting type:
Linux, Apache based with PHP
600MB to 1GB web space
Bundled email accounts with spam filtering
High bandwidth limit if present
MySQL would be nice but not necessary
.com, .net or .co.uk domain name registration
I'd really appreciate any help I can get. Thanks in advance."

"There are numerous advantages to credit cards. The most important of which is security. These days, they have numerous extra checks for credit cards. e.g. mastercard requires a personal securicode every time you buy online in addition to the usual details which are printed on the card itself. This prevents phishing since only the bank will now a special code phrase to use when asking for your securicode.And even if someone does steal your card and manage to use it on or offline, the money isn't actually taken from your bank account, rather the credit card company has paid for it. Hence it's much easier to fight for your credit back since the credit card company will fight for you. Whereas say with a debit card or direct transfer, the money has already been taken from you and you have to do most of the work to get it back.
So that's why credit cards are so widely accepted online.
If you're unhappy that you can't buy online because of that, then go get yourself a credit card :)
If you're too young to, then get your parents to use theirs ;)"

"Impressive first wall!I like the oldish brown style and background.
I think maybe get rid of the translucent text copies and just have the one opaque text.
Also, perhaps do something about the green bit of her skirt. It's a bit out of place with the brown of the rest of the wallpaper.
About the extraction, the imanimations tutorial I found to be excellent. Putting a very slight blur on the edges may help to smooth them out. Make sure you have the anti-aliasing options enabled when cutting. It's a little jagged along the hair."

"Hi.I got a wall rejected a while ago. Undettered, I thought, "I'll show em!" and remade the entire thing, vectored the scans, made lots of shiny improvements. New stars, new everything.
So here it is ^_^
Please comment on every bit of the wall, especially the wall and window reflections.
Note:
Everything made from scratch using photoshop CS. Characters are vectored.
Thanks in advance for everyone's help and also thanks to everyone who helped me out with the last version.
If anyone's curious this is the last version. I think it's a really really big improvement but whether or not that's true I'll ask you guys ^^
Made some changes:
White sheen on the windows and reflection of wall less apparent.
Subtle lighting effects on the windows.

"HelloI just finished a vector wallpaper of Honey & Clover and I wanted everyone to comment on it please so I can decide if I should submit it yet.
Everything apart from the clouds is completely made by me, based on a a few scans. The characters, bridge, steps and general setting is based on those scans. The sky is a stock photo of the sky which I edited to make it fit better.
I'd like to thank solwyvern for bringing to my attention this new (to me) method of vectoring and Unmei of FerriCorp for writing an excellent tutorial on this method.
Well, here it is.
If anyone's curious, this is the setting of scans I based it on.
Due to popular request, I've added birds on the top right and trees.

"That's a very good point fullmetal21 and ztkl. I have to agree that to really show it's a window, there needs to be some proper reflection of the inside of a ship. I really can't believe that didn't occur to me *slaps forehead*And yes, the lamp is a serious problem area. I may remove it altogether.

Should I make the window smaller perhaps?
Yes the wall is basically a few gradients :P But I wanted a clean space ship inside kind of look based on the ones in GS. So I don't want to add any rough textures and things like that. What else can I do to make it look like a wall?
to blu3angl, it's actually meant to be in space, in a spaceship. And the reflections are like that for the perspective.
You're probably right that the lamp does look a bit weird but it's the best I could do :(
And yes, it did get rejected ^^'"

The big window and wall is based on a scene where Kira and Lacus are talking in the Archangel when Lacus gets captured.
A bit of Lacus's hair was cut out of the scan so I spent some time drawing it out. I hope it looks alright.
I drew Haro from a screenshot of the anime and also drew the reflected version. He was put in there mainly to establish that they're in front of a window and not floating in space but also because he's so darn cute.
Star background and moon/planets were made completely from scratch."
