"Running MacOSX and Windows XP Pro. I used to run ubuntu too, but I didn't really use it that often anymore so I formatted it.

It really depends what you use your computer for, if you game a lot than you are best of with a Windows comp. For my work I program a fair lot in Visual Studio's so I am pretty much bound to windows.

MacOSX is great for every day use and if you don't game that much, it is easy to use and less of a hassle than windows.

Unix and Linux are more for the powerusers imo, those that want to get more out of their OS. The learning curve is a bit steeper than the Windows and MacOSX but you can get way more out of a unix based system than the other two."

Although if you are looking for something for a low-end computer use go for AMD they are better at the price/performance ration in low-end.

Also quad cores do not significantly increase performance for games, because basically games do not support quad cores and make optimal use of it. (parallel Processing isn't being used optimal by games, it will just make use of 1-2 cores at most).

My advice: Find out what you want to use the computer for. Check reviews, benchmarks and even check forums to see what the user experience has been with the certain system/cpu/whatever. I do it like that myself, because some people prefer a Brand without looking at tests and such. This is a limiting yourself and giving a none objective analysis of what to chose.

Well it is to be expected that a new CPU of AMD is better than an older CPU, it would not be to good if it wasn't . I myself am currently running a AMD Athlon 3000+, and doing some research for my next computer. So far all the reviews and benchmarks point to an Intel processor.

And yes it still depends on what you are going to use your computer for. If you are only going to surf the web and use it for typing documents, it doesn't matter what kind of CPU you use. If you do require a lot of your system eg. 3d Graphics, Illustrations (PS), Games and such, the facts are currently in favor of Intel.

"It looks that the wallpaper has a lot going on right now, lots of brushes and effects in there. Uchiha seems a bit hidden behind a lot of these effects.

I think I am seeing something that looks like a chidori and the clouds are a mist around him? I like the idea but it looks a bit messy right now.(e.g. the splash right in his face that connects a bit weird with his sweater).

"It looks really plain and simple, and i think that is immedialty the problem. I do not know if animepaper will accept this because, it really takes not that much effort to make. Get a scan paste it on top of a black layer and add some text. So it is also hard to say what you could improve on this wallpaper, because the idea is simple. Perhaps redrawing the window to make it seem to fit in the black background better, i dunno.

"Uhm don't start a second threat about the same wallpaper, because people can not see the adjustments you have have made. I see you have changed the font, it looks a lot more in place now in the whole wallpaper :) That is a good adjustment, hopefully you can agree on that too. There are still jaggy edges on your extraction work on that. I also would place some feathers to the left so, that it looks like the feather have been blown away from the left to the right. :)

The effect on the background doesn't really add somethign to me, hardly noticeable either imo. I think i liked the previous background better, because it looked more realistic. That is just a personal taste, so you may opt to keep the current one.

I would also pick another font, because the edges of that font are very sharp. You might also want to clean up the scan a bit :) The feathers are a nice touch though. Good luck working on it!"

"Not to offend you in anyways, but you really need to start working on your skills with photoshop. Currently you got an background image and pasted all kinds of characters on it and added text to it.
You adjusted the transperency of some characters, but that does not mean it blends in the image well, just makes them transperent. I suggest starting again and using higher quality images, then get an idea what you exactly want to do with your wallpaper. Read up on tutorials for cleaning and blending. Also be critical at yourself, check what has been submiited in the past and learn from that.

So best is to in the beginning again :) Hopefully my comment helped a bit."

"Well the scan looks okay, could be of higher quality though a bit blurred. I am guessing this is work and progress, because currently the background and scan do not match at all. Due to the style and colour. So definitly have to work on how to blend this together to one smooth wallpaper.

"Good use of colours :) it matches well. It certainly has potential to become an good wallpaper.

Work on the grass and you might want to sue different grass brushes for that, to make it a bit more dynamic and if you want to create more depth in your grass field remeber that the front should be bigger and then slighlty decrease in size in the end.

Have to agree that the fence doesn't in the image well because it looks to realist compared to the rest of the image, perhaps redraw it or try blend in it better.
