"The entire thing is from a scan, the entire image was selected except the characters and then some effects were added. That is my guess. I have to agree with chow, way to much filtered and saturated.
The light does make sense, when you see the original see here. still this wallpaper needs a lot of work, you can't just simply take a scan, throw a few effects on it and stick your name to it. Good luck with making a wallpaper though :) "

"Hmmm well it seems like you used a brush to create that sand effect around Gaara, hmm i think the sand effect needs to look more cloud like.
The extraction of Gaara might need a bit more work and don't put a glow effect like that around him. It makes the extraction stand out, and you want to make it more blend in with the background.

Also the texture brush dont use the same texture brush in the background to often, it shows vary different brushes to make the background look better. Your background looks a bit empty to the left so you need something to fill it up, because i think in this wallpaper using only Gaara is a bit too empty.
