"1) I'm no genius, but math has always come to me as easy to understand, hard to solve if I'm not used to the formulae and the way to solve it and very interesting. Modern Maths, Pre-calculus,heck, every form of maths is very cool.

As to how I study,in class I just listen well and try to undestand. and by the end of the class, usually I'll understand every bit of it, albeit there are times when I can't understand here and there. And then, I'll try to understand how a particular formulae becomes that formulae. Then the usual do exercise and homeworks. Sometimes I try to figure out possible ways of using those formulae and equations and so on in the real world. It's pretty interesting, believe me.

But really, figuring out formulae and trying to form new ones are very nice. It's as interesting as an extreme work of art.


2) Heck, if I get a B or should I say less than 80% marks in maths or pre-calculus (or in any subject for that matter) my parents would get darn mad. In fact, it happened in my recent mid-year exam. I made too many careless mistake and got a C on my Pre-calculus Paper. I got a decrease in my monthly pocket money after that. :(

3) I love them all but maybe the one that I love the most is Trigonometry. Then again, most things in maths are actually interconnected. :D

4) Usually I get around 80% till 90%. I usually get the wrongs doing careless mistakes like forgetting to change the unknowns or Integrating the equation the wrong way. :P

"I'm probably quite cold and serious but the guys in my class are mostly total jokers. So, yeah, suddenly remembering them really does make me laugh. No, that's not the right word, I think explode is more like it. And yeah, it goes on and on. When that happens, people around me would probably just ignore after staring for a while in my direction.

Sometimes I try to suppress it but it'll usually just comeout with me smiling while shaking my head. And yeah, people around me stare weirdly, although not as bad if I just explode.

I guess when you remember something funny at random when you're alone walking on the streets or somewhere in a similar situaion, I guess it's harder to suppress it than when you know it's coming. Then again, that's pretty obvious isn't it? :P"

stereotypically, to the uninformed and uneducated, anime girls exhibit busty and curvy body parts. perhaps that is why some girls over-react and label a guy "pervert". they're embarrassed for the 'real' women (possibly including themselves) who dont exhibit such extreme and 'appealing' features. i doubt you'd receive the same reactions if they were photos of celebrities, taking into account that they're adequately/sufficiently clothed...

So someone who watches hentai is a pervert? I tend to disagree, because a lot of anime fans don't call some girls into yaoi perverts, but then someone like me who would love to see a +18 anime with an actual interesting storyline like say, Beat Angel Escalayer or Wordsworth is then labeled a hentai? Look the H-market is overflowed with hentai that are all about the scenes (you catch my drift), but there's actually ones that try to develop a storyline and heir characters. Watching hentai should not make you a pervert, I mean really when I watch it, I'm just looking for anime I normally watch like a Haruhi, except with the love story going the whole 9 yards, so in that state of mind I would hardly state that as being perverted. There does tend to be a double standard indeed though, because I've noticed at cons that all these people walk around with yaoi paddles and talk about it, but then the moment I mention hentai, I get that stare of disgust, like I stated something taboo. You can't flat out eject hentai and then expect to act like yaoi is ok, and I think a lot of anime fans need to realize this.


Uhh... sorry, that wasn't what I meant to say. I mean those who watches hentai only for the sake of watching the sex scenes. You get what I mean. I didn't mean to target those who watches hentai not just because of the h-scenes. I mean, Look at Bible Black. It's a great story with a great plot. It's just that there's a lot of inappropriate scenes for minors.

Funny thing is, the other anime I had archived was Higurashi no Naku Koro ni and I distinctively remember her saying "See? This one too, it's all girls." which put me laughing and rolling on the ground, although I think she might've changed her opinion after I showed her the first half of Episode 21 in the first season.

If anyone ever labels that anime(or its game) as a fanservice-only and all-girls anime then I must say, that person is out of their mind. Higurashi is a philosophical and gory anime centered around a rumour and told similar like unearthing an ancient history where there are many versions of the story and each tells something about the real history. Anyway, the thing is, Higurashi is not a perverted anime. Full-stop.

I guess your friend is... well maybe she has a wrong idea of what animes are really are. especially where there are a lot of girls in it. Not all a-lot-of-girl animes are perverted. Some are serious and have a lot of great messages and require the watcher to think a bit(sometimes a lot) to fully understand the anime. Maybe you should explain to her this. I guess she's not watching a-lot-of-girl animes because she... well, I guess she's straight. And she thinks those kinds of animes are not straight. You know what I mean. Don't you?

Well, then again, people always tell me something like this: " You should stop watching cartoons. You're too old to watch it." Even my mom says that sometimes. But really, half of animes aren't meant to be seen by -12s.

Anyway, I have no idea why they call you pervert. Although I guess pictures of animes girls with... soft ecchi isn't going to clear your image to other people. I guess some people just don't have enough insight to not try and yell out something like that without considering that persons feelings and investigating 1st, and not just judging by 1st impression. Most people nowadays are like that, no matter women or men.

Although if that person is on good terms and maybe even close to you, it maybe just some joke. One to just to be laughed about. It's not weird for that to happen, in fact, it happens everyday somewhere.

There is also the possibility that that person is just too straight and honest (and innocent as well). You know what I mean. I don't think a further explanation is neeede for this one.

Still, the image of that girl you said gives me the impression that she's just too straight, honest and too innocent. The funny thing is, I imagined her as Mana from the Sola anime. No idea why. It just, popped up like that. ~(@_@)~ emoticon

Addictions

"I'm a gamer, an otaku and a writer. And yes, games are addictive for me. As long as it has a good storyline I'll get addicted to it. The only games I don't get addicted is online games or should I say MMORPG and the like.

I guess it's because I started playing games since I was 3 but it is a real problematic addiction. Not because I drop my grades or something but because I get tired at the end of the day. Although the weird thing is my grades don't drop and I'll usually still get top 10 in the whole school, give or take. Well, I guess that's because I love to study so I don't forget to study but yeah, I get tired at the end of the day.

Another addiction is myt addiction with instrumental music. I can't stop listening and I get my parents wrath sometimes. This one doesn't give me too much of a problem since there's not much side-effect. And I listen at the lowest volume since I can't stand noisy noise.

There's other addictions but playing games is the worse. All it does is making me tired but that leads to other effect so I guess I'll need to have more restraint of myself.=( ) emoticon"

I don't mean anything,but I was rather certain that there are no other species capable of dominating the entire world like humans do(again,except if you believe in E.T)Even human don't fully dominated over the world,let alone any other creatures that can't use their brain to produce something like tools,etc.


My dear, if you believe in dinosaurs, then you will know they dominated this world before they became extinct. Yet, they didn't produce any tools or anything did they.

Being the dominant species doesn't mean that you dominate the earth that we live on. Being the dominant species mean that what that species do will affect other species around it, and this isn't just limited to one place only, it's on the whole planet. The dominant species are the alpha species on the planet.

But being the dominant species doesn't mean it dominates the world. No, in fact, the planet isn't dominatable.

Humans became the dominant species by using the resources around them and making them into various tools and equipments for survival and relaxation. Humans didn't dominate this earth.

If humans become extinct, them the only species left will be those that we deemed as unintelligent. Yet, they are the one who are still here, so they shall be the ones that will be the candidates for the dominant species title left by us.
Then again, there might be other species that will evolve to be as complex as us. And might even be from our own genus, or even from other phylums or kingdoms. Most humans tend to valuate intelligence with the ability to talk, make and so on, and we label those that can't as unintelligent or somewhere along that line. Humans can understand humans. and it's undeniable that animals can understand animals, expecially if they come from one genus or from one family. So does that mean they deem us as unintelligent? Who knows. But just because a species can't make use of their brains to produce something doesn't mean they aren't able to become a dominant species.
Imagine what will happen if some sort of animal evolve and continuously kill humans and we are not able to defeat them back. And what will happen if humans are left around a hundred-some? We will become the minority, and endangered species, and some other species will fill up the title of the dominant species on earth.

Who knows, the world plays games on those living in its path.

Enough, I have no intention of having a debate with you. But the thing is, just because a species can't use their brain to produce something like humans do, it doesn't mean they aren't able to become the dominant species on earth."

Anyway, everything that lives in this world is life. And where life exist, death exist. 2 sides of the same thing can't exist without each other. So it's not supposed to be a surprise that humans will die out one day, and probably everything in this world as well. There might even be a time when the atoms that makes this world will somehow 'die'. Who knows.

Anyway, I don't think apes will hold our future. Perhaps some other lifeform but not apes. It's possible that species will be from our genus as well, but to a different species. The world has it's own way to play with it's residents.

As for society, there still exist some considerate amount of people who care about this world and what we're discussing about but a lot doesn't care anymore. Those who doesn't care are those who are engulfed by the things that we humans create to fill our love of the so called worldly posessions. They don't realize the world itself is at danger.

Education. Education is a word to describe knowledge learnt/learning knowledge. At least, that's what it is used for. Yet, most of what we know now is what we summarised with our own understanding, with our own limitations. So what can really save us from our own destruction? I don't know, the only thing I know is if everyone is still blind to what our surrogate home needs, we will perish. And yes, by that time, other species will become the dominant species on earth.

How did you and why do you stay?

"Hmm... I first got to know manga. I couldn't read my language so my dad bought some translated manga for me. It was the beginning for my otakuness. I think the 1st anime I watched was... Gundam Wing and Sakura Wars. I already knew Sakura wars from the game. And I was a great mecha lover from watching Transformers during my childhood. After that, I got to know the various animes around and just started watching them.

Why do I still watch them? It's because they give some possible future to us. Before aeroplanes was created, people wrote in stories sbout flying machines and now they really exist. Things that seem impossible now may as well be the future. Although there will be some limitation. I guess that's why I don't watch really really impossible animes i.e. someone died and live again and died again and then live again. Although I keep a really wide open mind about possibilities. Myth and legend related animes are great, especially if they put some historical stuff inside so I don't really mind those, I love them in fact.

Another reason would be that they give me some ideas and inspiration for my novels and short stories as well as my poems. ( []-[])9 emoticon"

"Soaps... I think you're talking about soap operas. Well, soaps are fine but when the characters go crying over here and there and do stupid, irritating and annoying things, I don't like it anymore. Other than that, I don't really mind. Some anime are like soaps as well. That's true. But anime soaps aren't as irritating as real soaps.

I don't really know why but I guess why girls like soaps is... they're romantic? or maybe it's just that the story's more emotional than the stereotypical guy stories? I have no idea."

A twelve year old child with such problem is a indication of a bigger issue. Leaving our children being educated by internet and television means that we will soon have no control on their behavior, the future gets corrupted and uncertain.

Children should be learned to respect their parents and think about the environment. We should realize our children are the future and unfortunately mangás, internet and televiosion do not teach them how to preserve and make life possible, only good education.

This way, obsessive behavior means lack of education. You may think about animals but even they can be educated.

Another problem is what will be the person's personality? If it is a child, who does not really know who she is because she does not have life experience to base such decision, she is likely to have psychological problems during all her life, and maybe it will never be possible for her to get maturity. Imagine our society problems in the future...


A child is a child. Stricting them will only cause more severe problems, or in most cases, the inability to develop parts of the brain and skills.

Just because someone has obsession over something doesn't mean they have lack of education, Arthur. Trauma and other events can cause that as well, so please don't say something like that so casually. Some people might get offended.

Anyway, Do your ealize that children are children. They're still learning. You can't expect them to think like adults for god's sake. Then there's no meaning being human if you can't even go through the process of growing up. A kid is a kid. If the mother know how to keep that girl safe, she'll outgrow it and it'll only become a normal interest, like most of us here has about animes and manga and games.

"Well, thing is, they want the child, yet when the child is born, they just can't find enough money to take care of the child. Some think and are sure that if the child stays with them, the child might have a worse future than the present one sice the world is developing at an astounding rate. The parents love their child yet needs to part ways for the child's own happiness. It's a stereotypical case. And usually the other parents will tell them who the biological parent are when they are older. At least, that is what happens here.

However, if the parents sell the child just for money, that is the worse thing that they can do. May you idiots rot in the in the Symphonies of Souls. These kind of human being are amongst the worse to even be alive.

And really, birth controls and contraceptions are foolproof. Trust me. And for me, abortion is out of the question, my morals don't allow me to kill an innocent would be human even if they have no soul yet. A hope for the future should bot be killed even if they are not alive."

It is true that technology was meant to help us but while it does help us, we tend to do more than we would have if we didn't have technology.
