Though the texture can hide some of the screencap's poor quality, the detail is still blurred and lost when enlarged. And the current texture seems weird; it has lines going all over the place.

The tears (I assume?) really stand out, because it's not part of the orangey-red hue that the rest of the image has."

Volunteeing

"I volunteered about 110 hours this summer. It's necessary for the graduation system and for the IB diploma CAS hours at the school I'm at.

I volunteered at various elementary schools, working with kids in a variety of activities... from sports to art to science to whatever. I got to say that I actually really enjoyed it. Some of the kids are just too adorable not to like. Time passed faster than I expected, and I already completed my hours in no time. Seeing the kids just made you... I don't know how to describe it, but it felt really good and a sense of accomplsihment overcame me. How I missed having the carefree, innocent life that those kids have."

What keeps you invovled in a game?

"Hm... there's a couple of things that I look for in games.

The one and most important thing is how addictive it is... :P Whether there's a plot or not, doesn't matter... for examples, MMORPG's can keep me entertained for quite a while... the urge to get stronger/better items really appeals to me. Other factors such as games that show the completion level, and all the sidequests/minigames or optional things etc. etc. are what also keep me playing the game.

I don't often play games that involve 'long-term commitment :P', but if I do, I'll be sure to unlock every character/finish every quest/and end the game with 100% completion. (Or however close I can get to it.) Otherwise, I just play games that are mindless fighting/whatever so I won't end up devoting too much of my time to it. "

"The star scape is flashy, bright, and draws all the attention away from the characters. Although the new clouds look better than the original, they seem to be of poor quality... The crosses are always waht bugs me with Eva walls, but that's just a matter of personal preference. The typography isn't bad, I would remove the dashes at each side, as well as the motion blur behind it. Blending options that (from my experience, and maybe preferences) go well with white text would be... a black 'outer glow' set to 'soft light'; and maybe a 1-px 'outer stroke' with opacity at around 50%.

Where Kaoru(?) comes in contact with the Earth, I would add some glow... but make it look like its bursting out. I'm not sure how to describe this, but you can message me if you don't get it. "

"Ohh, pretty good indeed! The Earth, as already mentioned, isn't quite circular... and not only that, but seems too crisp and stands out from the rest of the painted-look background. I'd leave it out altogether, but if you keep it in, I suggest having it a little blurrier and blend in with the rest of the sky. For the logo/text, I'd just apply a black outer glow set to 'Overlay'... I think that'd look best, and you can fiddle with the opacity to your liking.

"After your colour changes, the contrast seems to have gone down. What'd I suggest is making the blue darker. The grunge seems a bit strange; maybe you should finetune the vectors before applying the grunge. And personally, I thought the original looked better... the black and white contrast was very effective.

Oh, and the text doesn't fit very well, for a wall like this, maybe text isn't needed at all. "

@Hisoka: Yes! Very much fun indeed! Very addictive too... I think I'm about 40% through already, I've been spending countless hours on it everyday.... and night... It's took away all my other time! I'm sucked in. >.> I don't know Japanese either, but I'm getting through fine. Besides, there are always those Walkthrough/FAQ's you can find... just recognize and remember some of the Japanese characters, and you'll be fine. XD"

Gundam: True Odyssey

"I just got it about a week ago, and am probably about 5% through it. So far, it looks pretty promising.

The story is kind of weak, but I think the uniqueness and originality of Gundam in a RPG world is pretty neat... xD That and the totally customizable MS's... is what I love about this game. That said, some of the MS in the game is pretty ridiculous, and the addition of effects such as 'acid', 'heat' and 'shot' are pretty annoying. The urge to collect more blueprints, get better MS, and buy new weapons and parts is amazing.

I'm usually not a big player of RPGs, but I'm really liking this one. Then again, that may just be because I'm Gundam-obsessed... >_>

"THe font still doesn't match. To me, the character and background give a sense of elegance, but the text is all Barbie-like. XD

What's that stuff right behind the character? Looks like stuff brushed on... doesn't fit. Looks like random circle-shaped things behind her... All looks so cramped and weird.

Honestly, I don't know what to say about this one. First of all, the scan itself seems to be pretty poor quality, and I don't like the overal feel to it. Dunno. o.o"

"I agree, it doesn't look that plain; I like it the way it is.

As for the snow, I understand completely how you feel. XD I was stuck on my other wall on the snow on the ground... it's especailly hard if it's at an angle like that, or from the top. Just how do you make it look more snow-ish?! What I'd recommend, is... probably darken the edges a bit, to show depth? Oh, and it seems like there are sharp cuts near the head of the girl, what's with that? >_<

And for the snow falling (?) on top of her, it looks a bit weird... the only place snow is falling is on top of her? >.> Or maybe I missed something? XD "

"I don't like the radial blur on the character. The starfield also needs work... The lens flare is really obvious. For me, if I use filters, I try to make it as unnoticable as possible... but in your case, it's really obvious.

When choosing characters/choosing backgrounds for characters, try to keep in mind the colours on the image. In your wall, your character consists of mostly red-yellow hues, whereas the background is purple-pink-ish. "

"I've never seen the original, but I've recently started watching Alternative. I'm currently up to episode 2, and as of yet, the only reason I'm watching is the interesting OP and the good-looking characters. I've been completely lost in the plot though, is there a plot? Most of the time I wonder what's happening, as they keep flashing back and forth in time... Really confusing stuff. And what happened to the first pair of twins in episode 1? They were in the first episode, but the latter half and the second episode never even mention them once.

I don't hate it, I don't like it. I don't know what to think of it... maybe that'll change when I watch some more... hopefully."

Initial D

"I've seen it.

It's an okay movie if you watch it as a movie. When you watch it with Initial D in mind, then you might be fairly disappointed; a lot of stuff is missing, the story is altered a lot and zOMFG they left out Keisuke and FD.

Besides that, the actors chosen didn't really fit the role, other than Jordan Chan from the Emperors. Edisen was a _real_ stupid choice; he's way more hotheaded and... 'inch' to act as Ryosuke, and his acting is poor. Jay's performance was average... not anything special, I really wish he'd speak his native language instead of poor Cantonese though. -.-

Overall, if you're a Initial D-fanatic, then you should give it a try. If not for the story, at least watch the racing scenes. XD"
