As an animation, Bakemonogatari has a simple, clean art style. But the guest illustrations for the series are anything but simple! So, it's great to see that °Tens took on a more complex illustration and made it his own with vector gradients so fine at points it more resembles painting that vectoring. "Alright. I just watched GSD 38. What have I got to say? Well, I just looove their logic: you can tell who's really dead or survived by one scene; when a pilot dies, it HAS to include a scene of the pilot being impaled on a giant beam sword. Otherwise, they're alive. Sting pops out of nowhere.Really, though, I'm so sick of the plot of GSD. Reusage of characters, and the ongoing evidence that proves that Kira and Athrun are indeed, invincible. What does everyone else think of that?"

"Not much to say about this one.I was going for a stormy kind of look; like when Rey when Shinn are sent out to shoot down Athrun and Meyrin. I blended tons of stock together to create the background, and layered texture on to make it look darker and the colours are faded.
Just a rough draft for now; I'll refine the fine details later, such as the glow, and the boosters on the back. Any comments will be appreciated!

What movies have you seen lately

"A couple of movies I last seen in theatres... Hide and Seek, Constantine, and just last night, Mr and Mrs. Smith. Believe me, the only one out of those three worth watching was Mr. and Mrs. Smith. Constantine was just pure stupidity, it sucked. Hide and Seek was also a letdown; the first half of the story was okay and frightening, but somewhere in the later half, it all went downhill as if it was rushing the ending. I'd urge you not to watch it if you're paying for it... lol. Mr. and Mrs.Smith was a really nice surprise, seeing as the last couple of movies I saw in theatres were pure crap. So if you're interested, you can give that a try."View

"After changing the hue on the grass, it looks better.My only complaint now is how the moon is so crisp, as opposed to the clouds. It would also look better if the moon's opacity was lowered just a bit, or a bit less visible, because right now it's pretty bright. So, blend the edges a bit more, and maybe lower opacity."

"The texture is a bit on the heavy side.I don't have a lot of complaints for this one. I'd recommend getting rid of the glow-ish thing around Itachi and the moon. Aside from that, the grass can use a reddish hue to match the rest of the wall/lighting. Maybe the clouds could use a bit of reddish hue as well.

"Honey & Clover. It is just pure awesome. I can't stress enough on how much of a masterpiece it is. It should really get much more attention than it does right now...It's still on-going, but I fell in love with this series since watching only one episode. The balance of the issues in life, and sometimes, random humour, really contributes into making it such a nice anime.

"Definetely Honey & Clover. It's quite possibly the BEST anime I've ever seen. Really an underrated anime that deserves much more attention. If you're looking for a new anime to watch, I'll suggest Honey & Clover, sure it doesn't have what other anime have (CG, sexy anime girls, mecha, flashy animation), but you should really give it a try. It is a very distinctive style, not only in the animation, but the story as well.Therefore, HONEY AND CLOVER ALL THE WAY!11111 xD"

"Alright, ever since I joined AnimePaper, I feel that my walling skills have improved so much. But during all this time, I've only made ONE mecha wall, so I'll do another right now!This scan of Destroy was sexy enough to catch my attention; so I extracted it and did the rest of it. Too bad the scan was pretty poor quality. There's still text I have to clean, besides the right arm, which I already re-painted. (You can see some of the text near the bottom)
I'm trying to give it a 'RAWR! IM HUGE AND IM DESTROYING THIS CITY IM WALKING THROUGH'-kind of feel, but so far, it doesn't seem to be going to well. I'm not sure what to do, since I failed my last attempt (see Berserker)... The fire looks pretty lame as well.
Any suggestions/whatever will be REALLY appreciated!

"Athrun DEFINATELY needs to be extracted better. The same goes to Cagalli.Extraction probably makes or breaks a wall. The character, being the main focus, gets all the attention... and if it's cut-out poorly, it would destroy the wall.
Besides the poor cut-out, the quality of the scan is pretty bad too. It's grainy in many parts, maybe you should try and fix it with the clone stamp or something.
The background... some swirly light thing... doesn't seem to match with the rest of the wall. I don't understand how it relates to the characters and the quote. You also seem to have had too much fun with LIGHTING EFFECTS filter. It's really obvious... on both your walls.
Keep it up! Keep learning, practicing, and using Photoshop and soon you will master it."

"Well, the best thing I would suggest is probably... to relax. Walling is somewhat a leisurable activity, so don't force yourself too hard to do it... Inspiration... it just comes to you sometimes, so you can't really fix that... XDWell, I guess you CAN get inspiration by looking at the works of others. I guess you can browse, look around at others' walls... websites... whatever. Usually, I can get inspiration when I see some scan (like... WHOA! I KNOW WHAT TO DO WITH THIS!)... so maybe you can try that too."

"Another Eva wall!? Bleh. XDHokay. Right now, the background... is a bit fake. I can't tell that the sea is the sea, since its colours and stuff are EXACTLY the same as the sky. Add couple of layers to define the colour, fill, overlay, whatever... Just, atleast make it disguinsable. Second, since the sea is so light, why are the buildings stark black silhouettes? Either make the sea darker to match it, or make the building lighter and detail them.
On the water surrounding Unit-01, cut it out so that it looks more realistic. When I say that, I mean, look at the picture, and draw in the water around it accordingly; right now, it just seems like you randomly did it. It doesn't go with the image. If you can redraw the water around it properly, it would look like it was actually submerged.
To make the water more realistic: First, change the colour, so it's not the same as the sky. Second, around the points that protrude on Unit-01, have ripples... or all around it, for that matter. Not only will the ripples make it obvious that it's water, it'll make it look more detailed and like it's actually submerged. Oh, and water shouldn't be that light if everything else is dark.
I agree with Furikuu on the lighting, you might want to fix that.
Lastly, maybe put the silhouettes at the back... at an angle? The NERV thingy just looks like a triangle, instead of a pyramid. Show one of its other sides, to make it look more realistic."

"HELL YEAH! BOMBERMAN! I love Bomberman! ...and I own about... at least 10, I'll say. That's including SNES, Gameboy, and PS...Bomberman is probably one of the funnest games, and in parties, to play. XD The only ones I don't like was probably that... weird chess-like RPG Bomberman one for the PS. ...or maybe the one with the racing and animals one... o_O What's wrong with plain ol' bomb-chucking and killing? The original concept was way better."

"What I'd suggest now is redrawing the parts that weren't there. Seeing as it is night, some parts can be really dark, or maybe even black. When you redraw the right part, then you can move the main image to the center, which will give it a better feel. Having a silhouette of the right arm, then maybe adding mist to cover it up... that'll make it look better.I still see the pixelated trees when they overlap the moon, and it's pretty distracting. Better clean that up, or just... change the tree altogether.
Maybe you can also add a floor, seeing as every tree just gets cut at the bottom."

"I loved the first Matrix. Watching the second one was... an unique experience, I suppose. Everyone in the theatre had such high hopes and expectations for the sequel, and when it was over, it was pretty much a let down. You get your fighting scenes and whatnot, but the whole feel of the second one was totally different than the first. I actually got lost in Reloaded. I guess it was entertaining seeing all the Agent Smith's, but that was about it. I've never seen Revolutions, and I don't think I will."View

"First of all, I've got to say that I watched NGE couple of years ago, when I was younger and didn't understand much.A lot of the story has references to religion... me, having no experience or knowledge about this stuff whatsoever, didn't understand anything dealing with it. I never understood much of it, except for maybe Adam and Eve, but that was probably it.
Second of all, the series just didn't appeal to me that much. I watched it for the mecha, being a mecha-fanboy... but it didn't really fit what I had in mind.
I never liked Eva much, but I'd definately give it another shot if I can get my hands on it. Maybe now, when I got couple years more experience/knowledge, I would understand it better and see what many other NGE-fans see. "

School Rumble!

"Yep! Another School Rumble wall! ...in progress, that is.Well, after my first SR wall, I wanted to do more! I'll fill AnimePaper with them! ROAR! So I took another screenshot of Tenma from the OP... and vectored it. Vectoring took a while, especially on the hair.
For the wallpaper, I decided to recreate the scene from the OP... (Tenma spinning around on the road/sidewalk) I went ahead and did it, but it looked too plain and boring. The road and sidewalk was too grey. I didn't want to stray too much from the idea though, so I decided to make it a night scene, lighted by lamp posts... in the snow.
I haven't thought of what to put as the title, so there's no text on it yet. I want everyone's opinion/comments/etc. on it before I do some final touch-ups. Actually, I might even changed the whole scene...

"The trees near the left are a bit blurry... The clouds are pretty good. The night sky with the stars and moon isn't that nice; they look like little specks of noise. ...which is probably what you used? Noise? But I think it would look better with brushes, either custom star brushes or the soft round brushes... That way, you'll get a variety... And also, a starfield like that doesn't need to be THAT crowded... so you can go easy on the stars. The moon seems to have its brightness toned down? o_O I dunno, but it doesn't look that great either. Oh, and the brightness of the stars is kind of weird. It's dark and then right beside Unit-01's face, there's an extra bright patch.{EDIT}

Well, I'll try to type it out again.
Eva's colours should be toned down. In areas where there are light, you can see colours and stuff because the light refelcts off and into your eyes... so it makes sense that at night, there is less light, and therefore, the colorus reflected is less... In your wall so far, everything is dark, and black... whereas Eva is bright and colourful. Since it is night, the amount of light is lower, and that should mean that Eva should either, have its colorus toned down (desaturate it a bit) or have a bluish hue from the celestial objects above. The area around the eyes COULD have a bit more colour, seeing as it is illuminated by the glowing eyes... "

"The vector... It's a bit rough around the hair, and really simplified on the guy on the right. Hmm... now that I look at it, you just flipped the body and changed the head?It's hard to tell that the one on the right is Byakuya; I suggest you do someone else that is easier to recognize. Since the thing that distinguishes Byakuya from the rest is his head piece, (which is cut off), it is hard to tell that it is him. I suggest having Ishida instead. That would also make more sense, since basically, Ichigo and Ishida are on the same 'side'.
I'm not so sure that I like the name much. It's obvious you're making a Men in Black version, but something like 'SIB' doesn't sound too good XD. Maybe change it to... something else. (and if you follow my advice and change Byakuya to Ishida, they won't be shinigami anymore!)
I liked the wall better when the buildings weren't there; because the plain white background seemed more fitting.
Overall, funny concept, and really creative. A few little changes will make it even better."

"I'd have to say that Buster and Duel are awesome. I didn't like them at first, but it grew on me, and they are now my favourite MS's from GS. Calamity isn't bad either. From GSD, so far, I'd say that Saviour is my favourite. Something about it appeals to me.I'm really sick of all these 'put-all-three-packs-on-one-Gundam's', such as Destiny... I seriously think that something like that is ugly as hell. Aside from that, the sword is still blue, and the gun is always green. Added together, the Gundam has base colours red, blue, and grey... and suddenly, a giant blue sword and a giant green launcher is stuck on it's back. Mismatching colours, blech."
