This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.

While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.

But it IS a browser problem. The cache system built within the browser is what's causing the fault. ALL browsers have a cache. The browsers will automatically save the image contents of a web page to 'save time' loading the next time. Because it is saving the image content, when you go to another page it will reload the 'same' image once again while the link to the wall changes (since this isn't saved). Thus the problem... The only solution I can think of is everyone disable their cache but that would make loading pages slow again...

Yes, but by that logic, if I were to make a bright blinding neon green wallpaper, the problem is not my wallpaper, but everyone's eyes. If they'd all just take that little extra effort to wear sunglasses, the paper would look fine. :p
If the site is designed in a way that conflicts with all browsers, the problem is the site.

Besides, this will happen without me even moving from/to/reloading the page. It will just happen. :/"

Huh... I didn't think it could be fixed since it's a browser problem... kudos to CK if he does fix it somehow =).

I don't think its a browser problem. So far, I've seen the issue in IE7, Firefox 2, Firefox 3, and Safari; all on different computers and operating systems.

Another thing I'd like to see tweaked is session zero.
1. When submitting a paper from session zero, you can only submit one resolution. If you have both a wides screen and a standard version, you must add them after they are accepted. You should be able to submit them from the get go
2. Lets say you upload a paper to session zero, and absentmindedly upload it at 1900x1200 instead of 1920x1200. Once you're ready, you submit, only to get back a rejected message and lose a hundred papers, as well as all the comments you recived and your priority spot in the acceptance line.
a. There should be a warning message if your paper is a goofy resolution.
b. If a session zero paper is rejected, you should be able to continue to improve it, rather than the submission being trashed."

Revision not updating

4 months 2 days ago

"I recently uploaded a revision of my wallpaper here: http://www.animepaper.net/gallery/wallpapers/latest/item78841/
Hours later, the thumbnail has updated with the revision, but the actual paper, when downloaded, is still the old one!

*In case you can't tell, the revision/thumbnail has Lupin's finger going over the rainbow, while the original had it going under."

"One thing I would like to see tweaked in V6 is the random paper banner at the top. 8 out of 10 times, when I click on it, it will either take me to a completely different paper, or give me an error message. In fact, its extremely rare that the thing ever works the way it's supposed to."

Missing wallpaper

"I went to download this wallpaper, but it seems to have no downloading options. In lieu of a list of screen resolutions, it has a big grey X. I've tried downloading the paper via clicking on the image, but get a blank screen.

Haibane Renmei wall

1 year 3 months ago

"@DDv-
the dark spot was part of the paper texture. Its supposed to look like it was patched before being drawn on.

Updated:
http://img505.imageshack.us/img505/3135/haibanerenmei2oj3.jpg

I added some more variance to the feathers and moved them behind the paper texture to make it look less obviously brushed. In addition, I added a bit of a fuzz effect to the actual scan."

Haibane Renmei wall

"I've been working on this Haibane Renmei wallpaper for a bit, and am about ready to submit it, but looking at it, it feels like I should add more. So far, I've messed with the blending/lighting, added a worn paper texture, and added a gust of feathers in the background, but can't decide if that's enough.

Version one
Version two

Any suggestions?"
