After months of work, chanelqueen17 has created a gorgeous scene of Alice and Oz from Pandora Hearts, using scans that didn't even feature both characters together. Even after spending so much time on matching the details of the characters to their new looks, chanelqueen17 didn't stop there and went all out on the background too! This wallpaper definitely needs to be seen!

"All right, you guys have commented before on here about using stock photos and that kind of stuff for the backgrounds of the walls. I was wondering if any of you had any suggestions for good places to go to find these illustrious pics. I know of a few places where i can get good quality photos, but they all charge me to download them. I'd like to avoid spending money if possible. Any help is welcome."View

"Well, I like where you are going with it. I really do. I love the starfield and the swooping cloud-like things. All really good. But, I agree with blu3angl that the title of "Saints of Hope" is way too small. The fact that he/she didn't even get the words right proves my point. It's too small. Also the white shapes behind each of the pics aren't very good quality. They have very jagged edges.Well, now on with something of my own, i think the entire wallpaper is just... boring. There isn't much going on. If there was some way you could make it a little more interesting, that would be awesome. Perhaps do sometihng a little more original or interesting with each of the pics. Like, make them different sizes and spread them out across the entire wall. I don't know. It's very good, but it's very plain and boring. I'd like to see where you go with this."

I don't know where I found it, but about a year ago when I was doing research for my Kiba cosplay I ran across it. I'd love to be able to make a wall out of it, but with the position of the character and all, I don't know where I could go with it. If anyone has any idea's that they really think would look neat, let me know. I'm open to anything.
Also, as you might notice, the pic is of really low quality. Do any of you wallpaper geniuses know of any way to clean up that kind of mess, short of tracing over it with vector? Any and all input is welcome."

"All right, I'm going to go against the flow here a bit. I think there is quite a bit that you need to change. Hate me if you wish, but at least read what I have to say.First of all, Sasuke himself is a little too bleached out. That might have been what you were going for, but with the darkness of that background and all it really doesn't look good. So, tone down the brightness there a bit. Next is the text. I don't like the font for Sasuke. Also, The little pics of the characters at the bottom of the screen are good, I like that you put them there, but they need to be a little more prominent or not there at all. It seems like you just decided to stick them there. They are also too bright, just like Sasuke. Lastly, the moon behind Sasuke's head seems out of place. There is nothing else in the entire wallpaper that hint's towards anything in nature, and then you throw a moon in there. It doesn't fit.
That's all I have to say I guess. Like I said, hate me if you wish. Apart from that, I think the wallpaper has great promise. I look forward to seeing what you do with it, if anything. Good luck!"

"I have to go with hatesyou on this one. The scan is horrible and needs a crapload of cleaning. The best thing to do is do the vector tracing. It's time consuming, but if you really want the wallpaper to look good and have your heart set on this specific scan, it's the best thing to do. There are some cleaning techniques out there that you could try using, but I don't think any of them would be too effective on a scan of this quality. Good luck with this!"View

"Definitley put something in the background. That's what is mostly needed. The Pic is amazing! This is gong to be friggin awesome when you finish it! But, that background looks to be trouble. I can see your dilemma. I think using some sort of abstract image would be best, but i don't know. Good luck with that. Can't wait to see the final product!"View

"Awesome! This looks cool! Couple suggestions though. It looks as if you did the clouds yourself. They look wrong. Good try, but try again. I suggest using an actual picture of clouds and overlaying it (or some other similar blending mode). Fix the clouds and it'll look a lot better.Secondly, the text doesn't look right. It's too small to start off with, but beyond that i don't know what i'd say. Make it larger and we'll see what it looks like.Last, the scan is only slightly scratchy around the edges. Just a little more cleaning up and it'll look wonderful. Keep up the great work!"View

"I like it! It's interesting. As earlier stated, the scan needs to be cleaned, and badly, but looking past that it's good. The background is simple, but nice. I think you could go with the swirlies as mblack said, but i think you could also use a vector-looking sakura flower brush. When i think about it, i see just using the brush on the red. perhaps darker red flowers on the red would look pretty good. And if you don't like that idea, just keep fiddling. Eventually something'll hit you and it'll look awesome. Now, i do have one issue with the scan. I don't like the color combination between the scan and the background. You've got all this bright color in the background but the scan is mostly grey. Try colorizing her yukata a bit. Mostly yellow i'd think. it'd bring out the yellow outline in the background. I can't wait to see how this comes out. Good luck!"View

"All right, I liked it with the fence in the background the best. I don't know why you keep fiddling with the grass, it's just not doing much for me. And, with the photoshop brush, don't use too much grass. It doesn't look right. Also, i think you probably have just a little too much steam. Tone the steam down a bit. Lastly, there is a little dark spot on the edge of the redhead's cheek. I don't know if it's a problem with the extraction of the image or if it's a leave of the tree peaking out, but it looks like she's got a mole. Whatever it is, it needs to be gone. Other than that, i like it. It's looking quite nice. Keep up the good work!"View

To start off, the vector trees. I just don't like them much. I have nothing against using vector, but I just don't think these turned out well. Secondly, what do you think of those stars? I've never learned how to make my own starfields, which is my problem. I had to go and search for a picture of a starfield on the web and that's the best that i could find. I think they look like crap, but it's the best I could manage at my skill level. Any other comments you feel like posting would be very welcome. Thanks."

As much as I like it, I think it needs more. How can I change the background up a bit? What about the flower petals in the wind? They seem too flat to me. Any suggestions on improving them? Is there anything I might need to change on the scan of Ed himself? Does the effect not work well? Did I do a good enough extraction job? I know this is a lot to ask in one forum, but please, I will accept any assistance you can offer."
