What's the anime you've watched most!?

3 years 2 months ago

"The first one, would be Automatic Maiden Mahoromatic
this is one of the most romantic, yet tragic anime I've ever seen,... it has top notch quality animation from GAINAX, and superb storyline.. I dig for more Mahoromatic even up 'till this day

Second would be Full Metal Alchemist,... well.. this one is undoubtedly good. Maybe the best action anime I've ever seen in my life.

Third is Gundam Seed and Gundam Seed Destiny. I watched it over and over again in order not to miss each important element in the storyline/intrigues... because sometimes the story, albeit very much interesting, can be quite confusing. o_O

Fourth : Neon Genesis Evangelion. Dunno why, but I always get those 'shivers' everytime I watch it again XD lol"

"Suggestion : Vector Gallery

Well, vectors are really popular these days, so why don't we have a gallery to put them all in? ;)
But of course, since vectors can be resized indefinitely, there should be a minimum resolution/dimension requirement to upload."

re-cging a scan...

3 years 2 months ago

"Hmm... stroke or fill, that depends on the scan..
like my Kino no Tabi vector, I use strokes to make the outlines, because Kino has small outlines, and not too variable in thickness, but in my FMA (Al) vector, I use some shape layers to make the outlines and shadow lines... a bit tricky, and needs extra patience.. but well worth it in achieving the non-vector-look although it's all vectors ^-^"

re-cging a scan...

3 years 2 months ago

"Lol.. first of all, welcome to AP, ShiNN :)

Basically, re-cging a scan means, you try to imitate the cg style of the scan, and then remove the noise/scratch/artifacts/errors whatsoever using any method available...
as for me, to re-cg a scan, I usually use a soft semi-transparent brush (about 65% to 80% opacity) and then use the color picker tool to determine color of the area that I want to clean from noises, then I simply brush over it to maintain the color, and remove those noises. Using a tablet, I can avoid ruining the black outline and annoying corners of the picture (I usually zoom very close when re-cging).
To clean up some other areas, I sometimes prefer the blur tool, to simply blur up the noise heavily, so the only thing left visible is the base color.
There are many other ways that I'm not familiar with, so different people may have different re-cg method.
But, the simplest (but requires most patience) of all, is vectoring. You can't go wrong with vectoring...

Some people even 'mix' both re-cg and vector. They call it 'Semi-vector' or 'Partial-vector'. Basically, they vector some necessary parts, and re-cg the other parts. This way, you can maintain the cg-ish look of the scan (most of the time, full vector tends to diminish the cg feel, and make the scan look vectorish), but also clean it.

Some other people choose to workout the channels layer, and using many filters (mainly smart blur, median, and gaussian), to achieve much cleaner look of the scan.

So, it's up to you which method you feel the most convenient, and maybe you can develop your own style of re-cging. :)"

*fires flare* I need help! again

3 years 2 months ago

"Nice idea, but I think it would be better if you make the spaceship (it is a spaceship, isn't it? O_o ) a bit angular... in order to make the perspective and angle more interesting...
and add some mild reflections on the glasses to make it more dramatic-looking.
Overall, it's a very cool idea
I'm looking forward to the next progress =3"

Tenjou tenge manga: censored

3 years 2 months ago

"And people should already know the writer/author's background... lol..
Oh Great! (or known also as Ogu Reito) .. was formerly creator of hentai mangas (some of them are quite explicit and has psychopath-like stories) .. well.. despite that, he has quite an artistic sense in all his drawings, which I adored the most,... if that ever gets censored, then that's quite a shame, I say.. :\"

"Hmmm falling from a building might suit that scan :\ or.. from a cliff.. but lol the perspective would be tricky...
abstract background might do well, but that depends how 'twisted' it is going to be... otherwise it would be quite plain.
Oh, and space scenery wouldn't suit it (they aren't using any astronaut suit).. so.. yeah.. ;)"

Wallpaper contests

3 years 3 months ago

"
wall contests are pretty passe'. It used to be kind of a cool and popular thing, but no one really cares about them anymore for two reasons:
1) the judging usually sucks and is not by a 1st tier walling group.
2) The whole contest is just a cheezy way of getting free hits for your site by making people post your link, as well as getting more walls on your own site because you sucks and can't make good ones yourself.
Wall contests are gimics and people are catching on. it's like the free ipods thing or signign a bad record deal.

ahaha... I think what you said are really true =P
but for me, contests are just to kill some time... lol.. whether I win or not, that's not too important...
and moreover, I can still put my submitted wall anywhere else after that, so that's all cool ^__^"
