Console vs. Emulator

"Actually owning the emulators themselves is not illegal, and its also perfectly fine to own the ROMs for games that you do own in real life

Personally i've only really found emulators to be useful for games that really should run faster (cough pokemon cough) that maintain pretty much the same game play while running at like 250% or games that end up being ridiculously difficult or with really bad save options where save state or slowdowns become useful

+its just fun to have self-contained emulators on a flash drive in case your ever stuck on a computer with no internet/has firewall/is too old to run anything"

Anime on portable devices

"Most anime works well with portable devices (feels closer to the real thing than converted movies), and subs can easily be read as long as the screen is at least 2inches or so with 320 x 240ish resolution, though your eyes do apparently get rather squinty if you watch for hours a day like that...

Warcraft 4

"I kind of see WoW as kind of an "intermission" period where the sides gather up there forces and hatch plans in caves, citadels, trees, etc. with nothing really happening

for WC4, I see it continuing to branch off from the "Starcraft" gameplay style, wheras WC2 and SC was pretty similar, WC3 deviated a lot from that model, which SC2 seems to still be following

So I think WC4 will proly keep the hero system and add to it, but it might actually get even more Micro-intensive (unit/hero control) as opposed to the SC's probably 60% macro (economy/base building/unit production) and 40% Micro ratio

This makes sense because it'll help craft itself differently and fits better in the "fantasy" setting, especially with all the RPG-ness crazy brought on my WoW (whether you like it or not)"

"I had a teacher called Mr. Lynch (yes this was his real name), who teached and had been teaching AP European history for... 30 or so years. He absolutely hated me due to my obsequious manner, stern refusal to take notes, and obnoxious habit of randomly correcting him. (not the best of students)

Anyways... since i'd score near perfect on all his MC tests, he'd grade me, on average -1 grade on every essay, and even after i scraped an A- first semester(i happened to be .3% higher than a student he liked lol), he came up to my face one day in second semester and went "*[insert my last name here]* don't even bother trying to aplly for NHS (national honor society), I'm not going to let you get in" as he was the chair of our school's NHS... i didn't get it

incidentally, Mr. Lynch retired next year, and i handed in the exact same application... and i got in (OMG!) "

"A little greed and capitalism on a small/individual scale is probably good for society as a whole (lol no lazy bums), and builds up foundations quite well. But once capitalism gets to a certain point it becomes a devouring behemoth of greed and corruption that would do anything for the bottom line, usually ending up hurting the society itself

... take, for example, American oil and automakers, for their own profits, they're paying huge sums to downplay the "climate change" of the earth, as well as throwing $ on congress to not do anything, for the bottom line they're literally willing to sacrifice the planet...

"I think FMA needs another season, maybe something closer to the manga, but the movie screwed up the plot to the point that its more or less impossible to make a sequel
and definitely trinity blood, which had a hugely weak ending (i think the author died or something near the ending and some1 else wrote the end), and the show has still so many lines left to explore and almost no closure... "

Vista Vs. XP

all the features it has (widgets... shiny backgrounds) can usually just be obtained with free downloadable software on XP, and it really doesn't add much functionality. It's also got all the random bugs

The other day, my friend (who dual boots vista and Xp atm) showed me how Vista and DX10 doesn't really do anything too noticeable cept make game run at like 60% its XP speed O_O

Starcraft 2, what do you think...

"Well i agree with the balance problems, but that's always happened with blizz games (Warcraft 3 in its early days *sudders* ) but they always do have Bnet and billions of patches until it becomes balanced (starcraft 1 itself took like 5 years for the "major balancing changes" to stop)

but i love how blizzard's actually taking people's response, when the units were introduced, people were like "WTF is Soul Hunter it seems stupid" and now its gone, same with other things...

i think actually starcraft 2 seems to be on the right track, but it'll be proly 6 months late (just like every blizz game)"

Its the same way with Multi-core computers, 2x core technology has been around for a while, its just that nobody really figured out how to make them work properly in parallel, once the PS3's hardware gets fully exploited, there will probably be a significant increase in both the graphics, and just the "data" on the game, physics engine, etc.

How do you deal with terror teachers?

"Lol, my school is full of teachers who are crazy in one way or another (1/2 my teachers will go absolutely ballistic if someone turned in anything torn out of a notebook, or worse, with the little leftover strands O_o)
Personally though, dealing with teachers like that for me is kinda fun. Just try to make the teacher understand that its the kind of person you are and no amount of whatever is going to help. It also helps if your defying and resisting your teacher when you have an A in the class ^_^"
