Would You Support a Murderer?

"Well, my first reaction is that I would most certainly turn them in...BUT I've come to learn in life that we are often blinded by our feelings for others, love or just platonic, to a very large degree. Meaning, we rationalize some of the strangest things about the people we know and love that we never would accept with a stranger.

Thinking more on it...I guess if I wasn't in fear for my own life, it would come down to how strong my feelings were for the person in question. For example, if I had a wife and she was an axe-murderer I think it would actually be a hard decision assuming I really loved her.

On the flip-side of the coin I honestly believe I could forgive someone who killed someone close to me or traumatized me to some severe degree. It's a fact that anger/hatred/resentment are literally bad for your health. Something to think about anyways..."Resentment is like taking poison and then waiting for the other person to die from it."
