I'm still new at this... can I have advice?

"Well, it's always better to post your wall here before you submit it...^^°
however, the background needs more work, it´s a little too plain...(maybe use a stock photo of some sort?)
and the text has a nice font, but it´s too big for my liking...
much more bothersome, is that the chara is way too blurry, the outer glow around it ist too present and also the whole thing seems to be pixelated, maybe due to some effect you used, but it looks more like the image you took the character from was of pretty poor quality

"Hi, here some things that bother me most:

the text is a little hard to read,
her left shoe looks like it´s cut off
and you should reduce the border on that shape top/left
as for the background, i´m sorry i have no idea what that blueish thing is, but it does not quite look nice...

"Chibi , there are i believe 2 scans and some screenshotvectors, so there´s indeed not a big selection (yet)
i´m also aware that there´s been a huge number of wallpapers featuring that very picture, but i made this one out
of a sudden impulse and so i didn´t really care ^^
however,
i faded the geometrie stuff from the bg a little but i´d rather don´t any further changes or i´ll risk putting in too much/taking something out i like ...
(also i noticed myself that i always tend to overload my wallpapers a little no matter what i do so perfection is yet to reach...^^°)

- i dunno i considered bloodstains too, but i feel they wont work with the other stuff
- the whole wallpaper is supposed to look grainy
- i tried the perspective thing, but i did not really like it ^^°

"I´d reduce the mosaic a little, especially in the area between her leg and that "puppett..thing"
there seems to be a little pixelation on her or something that´s been labeled as unshard already ^^°

i hope you´re not sick of that scan already since it´s been used over and over (in lack of something better and maybe just replaced by screenshots from time to time), however i used a vector from the scan section (also mentioned in the tag) instead of extracting/vectoring something myself (i´m a lazy lazy boy...), since it was sort a spontanious decision after watching ep 2-4 today ^^

i know i´m no genius when it comes to analasys but i try to list some things that bother me and hope someone who can explain better will come and do so...^^°

there´s no focus in it
the chara on the right is not extracted properly (or at all?) the black around her is brighter then the rest...(barely noticeable i know) the one on the left is to small .
generally i think even though they ressemble the same chara they don´t suit each other well since they all have a different style somehow...and there´s missing something like a red line indicating what you want to express...
also, but this is compulsory, the bg it too plain by being just black..."

"I´d try to make the text a little more transparent (15% or so)
maybe adding some color to the elements (brushes?) you have in the back (some that suit her and the feeling you want to it to represent)
also (if possible) maybe making the chara around 30-40% bigger so she fills a good 40%-45% of the right half
(since i dont thing the effects you applied work with the size she has now, but they might if she was bigger.)

"1) chibi , no the jagged lines are not intended, i wasn´t paying close enough attention when i started with it ^^°
as for the main character, this was the best i could to with the source image i had (it´s completely redrawn...with some minor changes^^) you should see the original (and it costs papers...-_-)

however i will work on the elements behind the chara and the techie stuff some more ^^

"Hi there i´m working on this wallpaper for some time now and i somehow cannot manage to make it look right...
seems that i kinda suck on these kind of wallpapers...
i know there´re some jaggies and errors in this one, but i thought, i might as well hear some suggestions before i work on those...

my own impression is it looks too "mosaique" and there´s definitely something missing...

what do you say...
does the idea work, so i can rescue it, or should i start over and burry this one deep into
a vulcano?

the images you chose (screenshots) are of low quality
the text at the bottom is too blurry...
also i cannot make out what that thing over alucard and that other guy is supposed to be (and it is there...)

i say start over,
concentrate on one character in the foreground,
use a high quality scan
try to work out a concept before you start (what do you want to show in which way...and where...
try not to overload it)
sorry it this sounds very common and vaque i cannot explain better i´m afraid...

also i find the nose and the "shading" in her hair do not look quite right either
