After months of work, chanelqueen17 has created a gorgeous scene of Alice and Oz from Pandora Hearts, using scans that didn't even feature both characters together. Even after spending so much time on matching the details of the characters to their new looks, chanelqueen17 didn't stop there and went all out on the background too! "The US has banned a few games, though most were PC and had other illegal things about them other that being AO. Only concel game to get "banned" was GTA: SA. That's "banned" because it was jsut switched to AO and most stores have a policy that they don't carry AO games or X/NC17 movies. You remember what happened there? Rockstar fixed it, got an M rating, world kept spining.

Frankly, I don't think the US could, if anything Bill Gates would break down the Justice deparment's computer system by install in Windows 2000 or something. ;P Yeah, Microsoft and Sony would bitch endlessly and you wouldn't see diddly from Sony in new technolgy.

I know other countries ban particular games, Like Scotland and Australia I think are two. Anywho, I doubt they would since the industry is now near as big as the movie industry.

As a hardcore fan of Metroid, I must say that my most favorite title of the series (and one of my most favorite games of all times) is Super Metroid. It has everything:

-A balanced gameplay, so not that experienced players can beat it without problems, even if they don't find all the items. Of course, the most necessary items are easily obtainable.

-A lot of moves that add a lot of gameplay. The triangle jump, the bombs technique, the Speed Buster, even the grappling beam.

-A giant world to explore, and even though it has some known zones (Brinstar, Norfair, Tourian), they're extremely changed (even though you can still see some locations from Metroid 1, like the Mother Brain lair), plus new zones like Maridia and that strange wrecked ship thing. Most of the secret zones weren't that obvious to find, like that small way that leaded you to an energy tank, at the beginning of Crateria.

-An extraordinaire soundtrack. Probably the Metroid with the biggest variety of songs ever. I was surprised when I noticed a lot of the tracks from the game weren't based from the original Metroid or Metroid 2 (except for the main title theme).

-The most impressive visuals the Super Nintendo is able to achieve (along with Final Fantasy 6), filled with a variety of graphical enviroments and effects. The battles with the bosses are a proof of it.

-Talking about the bosses... yeah, some of the most imporessive and thought battles you can encounter in a Super Nintendo game.


I'll try to write something about the other Metroid titles in a near future.

That's the truth. The SA-X is a pain in the ass. Though the new parts of Zero Mission are also a pain to me. I like blasting my way through. ^_^ From starting with Fusion, I was a bit lost with Super Metroid's complete lack of direction. Though the "hey, I haven't been here, let's see if something new tries to kill me!" is fun in it. Also the 8 button scheme seems harder for me after GBA's 6 buttons. I hope they make another 2-D Metroid on the DS. I need a new fix. :P

"I like Amplitude and Elite Beat Agents.

Amplitude is made by Harmonics, the same people that make Guitar Hero. Basic gameplay is you go down a track for each instrument and when you complete a track, that instrument plays on it's own for awhile. Really fun and good music.

I'm guessing everyone knows EBA.

Both very fun and both non traditional since they aren't just "tap to the beat" games."

" I actually became a fan with Fusion. Both it and Zero for me were great games and I hope they make another 2D style for the DS. I'm still trying to beat Super Metroid though, (don't hurt me, I just got it like 8 months ago. XD) From the little exposure I've had to Prime it was really good, I hope to get it once I get a Wii.

What I like about all the 2D is that they're well, really good 2D. The exploration, the shooting stuff really well. The map's a lifesaver too. They are just made really well.

As Sony plans a 10-year cycle for the PS3, they'll need newer, younger minds for the next generation systems.

*Laughs* There is no such thing. Even if they want to, the next generation of XBoxes or Nintendos will force them to make a new one.

Hell, they're trying that with the video medium. Though I still doubt either Blueray or HDDVD will take off. I work at a video store and we still get people asking if we have VHS. DVD has be mainstream for what, 6 years? As long as videos are stand alone I doubt that a 5 year cycle will take off.

This attitude that "Sony is evil" is ludicrous
It's not so much as that their stupid with their marketing. How they went about it made people dislike them, which is amazing since their main competition is Microsoft.

I have a PS2, and don't get me wrong, it is a great machine. Though just with my preferences in games, the Sony brand is not what I want. I got the PS2 for RPGs, but since then I have not beat one. So I'm switching. Yet even if I had thoughts about getting a PS3, how they went about everything annoyed me (and many others) so much that I'm not getting one. That and even if they drop the price $100, it is still more expensive than my computer."

...That's what I said. Basically that's there so I can use it as my wallpaper till I fix it. Oh and that's the size from the original artist, so it does not come larger.

I'm looking on DA now, but as of yet, the background of the left that I want has not appeared. What I'm looking for is a picture of the "net" from the Ghost in the Shell universe. Preferably with nothing in it. If anyone has something like that, or knows where I might be able to find it aside DA, I'd be really grateful.

"I saw this picture of the Major on an Imageboard and I had to have it on my Desktop. Sadly is wouldn't fit normally, so I was jsut going to crop it to fit and resize it to finish the job. It didn't look right though since I had to crop out both the Tachikoma she's riding on and the helicopter attacking her. So, instead I decided to make a wall. I cropped it to the point that it fit vertically and put it up there. To fill the extra space, I was going to put the Major diving into cyberspace, and that's where my problem is.

Here's the picture first:

The problem is that the scan of cyberspace doesn't fit the mood of the rest of the picture. So, does anyone have a scan of the more circle looking view of cyberspace? Or a brush for Photoshop 7 that would do the trick? I know what I want to do, it's just that I don't have the ability to draw it myself. I think that if I had the scan, I could finish it.

Adobe Photoshop v.s. GIMP

"Basically what everyone else has said, GIMP isn't as good, but for the price it is the best thing you can get legally. For me, given the last time I used it was over a year ago since a friend of mine upgraded to a newer Photoshop and gave me the disc to the old one he had.

For me the biggest failing is Text. It is extremely simple and to edit text once you've clicked away from it is hard. Other than the text, for my ability GIMP is just as good.

But for me, unless you have a cool friend like mine, and you can't afford the $600-1,000 USD, get GIMP. It is terrific.

A note: GIMP can read Photoshop files, but Photoshop cannot read GIMP files. So if you want to retouch something you do on GIMP with Photoshop (like if your school has it or something) you have to save the GIMP file as a Photoshop file while using GIMP."

Final Fantasy VII: Dirge of Cerberus

"After all the reviews like the ones above I've heard, I didn't think the game was that bad. I did get bored after a few days, but that happens with all games. Vincent is really cool in it (gotta like anyone voiced by Spike) and the story is overall very good. The gameplay isn't near as bad as everyone says, at least to me. Given, I'm not a big FPS or TPS person, so this was fine. WRO really needs better defenses though.

I think I'm buying the art from the manual as a poster for my room."

If the boy was stupid enough to climb in to where the crocodiles are then I think he deservs to die. This world isn´t ours to do exactly what we want all the time and doing what he did when there was dangerous animals close by then he has to know what he was doing just because he was a child it dosen´t mean you can say that he was to young to understand that is really lame.

I really hate it when they kill an animal that only has done what it was born to do. The crocodile didn´t kill the boy just for fun of it, the crocodile can´t see a diffrens between a danger, food and a human. So killing it just because it followed its instincs is to me pathetic.

I'll have remind St. Peter to remind you of that when the same Grizzly Bear that ate you a month before kills the rest of your family because it wasn't put down.

Where do you shop?

"Umm I shop where I can get stuff that fits me. That being Burlington Coat Factory. They carry last year's models of clothing. My one issue is that the only clothing designers that realize that there are people above 2XL are Rappers and Ralph Lauren. (I wonder if Ralph Lauren is a closet rapper) That said, I wear alot of Polo and Rocawear. I try to avoid Fubu to be on the safe side.

The only real place I make myself unique is in hats and watches. My watch is a nice Swatch that my dad got e a few years ago for Christmas. Its a bit worn, but still nice. My other I forget the brand (got it this Christmas) but its silver with a blue face.

My hats vary per season. Warm season, a camo bucket hat or another bucket hat depending on how sweaty I'll get. There is also the rare Cleveland Indians baseball cap. Cold season, Just bought a gray fedora that'll match my gray double breasted wool coat. In between the seasons I have a beret like the ones worn by the US Olympic team at the opening of the most recent Winter Games."

I'm not sure about Gamecube, but Nintendo has been lacking RPGs in general since they ticked off Square. Hopefully this'll be a good thing.

"Got Pearl the day it came out. It's pretty darn fun. It does remind me of "the good ole days" of Red and Blue. True, many of the new Pokemon are meh, but how many of the originals were too?

Many of the new ones have fixed the balance issues of the originals. The two best types to fight psychics were grass and ghost. In the originals there were only one grass type that didn't have poison in its type, and there were not pure ghost types. I've got a pure grass and a pure ghost in my new team thus far.

BTW - Do NOT bet the Prima Guide for the new ones. They divided it into two differnt books so you have to pay $30 USD to get what others give for $15 USD."
