I think the wings could be moved down a bit. It looks like they're attached to her arms! lol I agree that the focus should be more on the character, maybe you can give her a glow to make her stand out, or lighten the bg so the colors of the bg match up with her colors more.

As for the font, you can still keep the script font, but you could make it smaller and spread the text along two lines or maybe even one. Somebody already mentioned the beveled effect, so I won't pick on that. =) Regular flat font with a shadow (or no shadow) looks like it can do the job.

The extraction is done quite nicely! It's coming along great, would be happy to help if you get another version too.
